Great tour. Very informative. We learned alot about the history of that time. Good pace, don't feel rushed. Our tour guide, Amir, was fabulous. Very knowledgeable about the history of the revolution. Kept it interesting by giving us unusual facts and stories about the events and the people involved in the revolution. Overall wonderful experience

What a great experience! Kyle was so incredibly knowledgeable of history regarding the freedom trail and beyond. He told the story with so much enthusiasm and even had visual references of those who inspired the revolutionary struggle and supported the movement. Never a dull moment, so worth it.

Learned a lot that I didn’t know! Lots of walking, but not strenuous. We had opportunities to sit and listen; took a break in the middle. Maze was great!

This tour was such a great way to deep dive into the history behind the Freedom Trail & gave us a good overview of all the stops along the way so that we could go back on our own to get more in depth into the sites that interested us the most. Our tour guide Dana was EXCELLENT!! He is a retired history teacher, so he really brought the experience to life! I thought I knew a lot of the history behind the beginning of the revolution, but he gave us so much new insight. You could feel his passion! The tour took about 3 hours, but Dana told us up front that it might run a little longer and we absolutely did not mind! It was so interesting and jam packed with facts that made the events leading up to the revolution come to life! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston & I would encourage it to be one of the first things you do. I also loved that it was a smaller group because it was easier to hear & participate. You can do the Freedom Trail on your own... but I think this tour is a much better way to experience Boston & well worth the money!

Great tour!

A Great Way to Walk the Freedom Trail

DAVID_V, Jun 2026
Highly recommend this small group tour. Sven was an excellent guide and provided amazing insight as we walked the Freedom Trail. I am a colonial history buff and I learned a fair bit. Truly valued the small group size of 16 especially when we saw groups of 50. Not for us for sure! Remember, Dr. Joseph Warren!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you, David, for the 5-star review for Sven, a new and very talented member of the Hub Town Tours team! We're feeling flattered to have shared something new with a history buff, and feeling pleased that you enjoyed his stories and insights. We're always glad to see other fans of Dr. Warren, too!

Our tour guide Mikayla was amazing! She was very knowledgeable, well educated and passionate about history. She was fun to listen to and encouraged questions. Her knowledge went far beyond of the scope of the tour. We followed her lunch place recommendations and were very pleased! I hope you get to meet her!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Well, wow, thank you so much! What an absolutely wonderful review for Mikayla. As a historian, she does have the background, experience, and passion for history. We're so pleased you felt engaged with her Freedom Trail stories and answers to your questions, too. And glad she steered you to a great lunch!

History comes to Life in Boston

doug_i, Jun 2026
Our tour guide, Dimas, was exceptional. If one doesn’t have a love for Boston and history before the tour, they certainly will after his enlightening stories, rich in historical fact. This tour is well worth the price and incomparable to other tours we saw or doing it on your own. Highly recommend!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Excellent Tour for History within Boston

Aaron_S, Jun 2026
it was a great tour with excellent information and kept our attention the whole time. The pace was very good and the kids learned quite a bit of history which is great. We would recommend it to families traveling to Boston. Matthew was a great guide for the tour!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Aaron, we really appreciate five stars for Matthew's tour! He has years of experience on the Freedom Trail and a ton of enthusiasm for sharing Boston's history. Our 2.5-hour tours are deep dives into that history, and many of our younger visitors to Boston enjoy them, but they may not be right for everyone. We are very glad your whole family learned and enjoyed!

Great way to see the city

Amanda_R, Jun 2026
Did this early morning on a Saturday. It was the perfect way to see the history of the city. Clio our guide was so knowledgeable but also funny and made the experience more of a story telling than a boring history lesson. She was excellent. Definitely recommend to anyone trying to get a little context behind all the sights they are seeing.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Well, thank you for five stars, this review for Clio's tour, and your wonderful observations! Clio is an excellent historian, and our guides love what we do, so we work to tell engaging, detailed stories of Revolutionary Boston. We agree the Freedom Trail tour provides a great overview of all those sites, and we're very glad you enjoyed it.

Walking tour on foot from...

Jeffrey_O, Jun 2026
Walking tour on foot from Boston Common to North End -- sidewalks in North End are often narrow and uneven. Our guide had voice amplification which was really good--we could hear everything he said even with traffic and other noise. Our ability to hear every word he said was a key part of the experience.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Jeffrey, thank you for sharing the details of your Hub Town tour, and for five stars! The Freedom Trail walk does visit some wonderful neighborhoods, that are also old neighborhoods, and the sidewalks are part of that experience for sure. Many of our guides use mics, but not all. But we all work to be heard, because we love the history we share. We're glad you enjoyed what your guide had to say!

Fun, educational experience for the whole family!

Patricia_M, Jun 2026
This tour was a great way to introduce the historical relevance of Boston to my three teenage sons. Alejandro our guide made the experience fun and interactive, while also educating the group on 16 historic sites of the Freedom Trail. I highly recommend this tour, which hit the highlights in 2.5 hours.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you so much for sharing your family's experience on the tour, Patricia, and for five stars for Alejandro! We agree the Freedom Trail is a great introduction to Revolutionary history for those who are ready for a 2.5-hour tour. The sites are so interesting, and a skilled historian and storyteller like Alejandro can bring them to life.

Very comprehensive tour...

Derek_B, Jun 2026
Very comprehensive tour about the Revolutionary war period, but more than political issues. Included architecture, religion, and man other areas. Maz was our guide and his full time job is a US History teacher.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Derek, thank you very much for five stars and this wonderful review for Maz's tour! He is, like many of our guides, also a teacher, and he brings much knowledge, great storytelling, and a great sense of humor to the Freedom Trail. We work to tell rich stories about many aspects of Revolutionary Boston, and we're so pleased you enjoyed that.

Definitely Recommend!

Allison_M, Jun 2026
Our guide was Mark. He was extremely knowledgeable and we could tell he is passionate about his job and his love of history. He went above and beyond with the information he provided and the passion he put into his story telling. We also loved how small the tour group was.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Allison, thank you for such a wonderful 5-star review for Mark! It's easy to tell how much he loves sharing history, whether in his classroom or on the Freedom Trail. We're so pleased you felt really engaged with his stories and enjoyed your small-group experience with Hub Town.

Well, thank you-- it makes us smile to know a guest enjoyed both the great Freedom Trail sites and one of our guides! Kiera is a fantastic historian, and her stories are full of lively energy and humor. We appreciate this review and five stars!

Boston Trip Highlight

Rachel_P, Jun 2026
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had an outstanding experience on the Boston Freedom Trail History Small Group Walking Tour! The tour was informative, engaging, and one of the highlights of our trip to Boston. What truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Nicholas. His knowledge of Boston’s history was incredible, but even more impressive was his ability to bring the stories to life. He made every stop along the Freedom Trail interesting and memorable, blending historical facts with fascinating stories and humor that kept both the adults and kids engaged from start to finish. Nicholas was friendly, patient, and passionate about sharing Boston’s rich history. He took time to answer questions, offered great local recommendations, and made everyone feel welcome. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that enthusiasm made the tour so much more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Boston and want a deeper appreciation for the city’s role in American history, this tour is a must. We left with a greater understanding of the events that shaped our nation and some wonderful family memories. Thank you, Nicholas, for making our Boston experience so special! Worth it!

Lily_M, Jun 2026
Nick was an awesome tour guide! He’s knowledgeable, stopped often for questions and had a good pace in speaking. The meeting spot was easy to find and they had a coordinator there making sure we got with the right guide which I appreciated. The walk didn’t even feel like 2.5 hours. The only hard part was just a few times there was lots of traffic noise, etc so a little difficult to hear if we weren’t right next to him but other than that we’d highly recommend this tour! Thanks Nick :)

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Lily, thank you very much for five stars, and for taking the time to share your experience of Nick's tour! He's a wonderful educator and guide, who loves to share stories and answer questions on the Freedom Trail. We're so pleased you enjoyed the tour and appreciate your recommendation. And also your feedback: the city can have noisy moments, and we'll pass along the reminder!

Mark is great!

Great tour. Loads of information and covers a lot of ground. Great history lessons and my teenagers even enjoyed it.

Small and informative tour!

Kim_R, Jun 2026
Very informational! We had a small group of 10 tourists. Saw many other tours with groups of 30+ which did not seem reasonable. We were able to ask questions and able to see sights easily. Zoey was great!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Kim, thank you very much for five stars for Zoe, who is a talented educator and guide with so much to share on the Freedom Trail! Our small groups help guides engage with guests, and we love to answer questions.
