Tour guide was great. We learned a lot of history that we did not previously know. Lots of walking but well paced and he did a great job of keeping us informed and found us some shade a spots to sit when needed. Highly recommend this for people interested in the area’s history.

Fabulous tour! Dana had so much interesting knowledge about the history of the Revolution. A great way to visit the best spots on the trail. The tour is flat, but one incline at the very end to get the view of Bunker Hill. This is so much better than following a book. He had a microphone which I really liked. This tour is a must in Boston!

Nick was amazing!! High school history teacher who grew up in Boston made the tour not only informative but he also added some real life examples of how the city’s history. Thoroughly enjoyable. Stops frequently to explain. Always looks for the shade or away from another tour so we can all hear him. 10 min restroom break at the middle point. Thanks Nick!!

What a wonderful walking tour with an amazing female university history student guide today! She was very professional, kind, very knowledgeable, and kept us entertained. She was very clear and easy to hear even in some busy settings and for a group of 15. I learned so much about the history of Boston and the Revolution. A must for tourists!!

Such an informative tour. We learned so much. It was the perfect amount of time and saw so much of Boston along the tour. Capped at 16 people which was great. We picked an early morning tour which was also nice because there are so many tours that it can get quite crowded at the stops.

The opportunity to see all 16 Freedom Trail stops in one tour was fantastic. What brought it to the next level was our tour guide, Kiera. She was extremely knowledgeable, history graduate, plus a perfect sense of humor. I enjoyed the tour immensely!

My wife and I are from Australia so our knowledge of Boston’s history wasn’t that vast.
Our guide Mikayla was a fantastic tour guide. Her knowledge about the history of Boston was vast and it was matched by her enthusiasm for the subject matter. She provided a balanced account of the history of the city and separated myth from reality which was refreshing.
I highly recommend the tour and more importantly Mikayla as the tour guide.

This Tour Brought Storytelling to an Art form
Tari_T, Aug 2026
Taking a historical walking tour with Alejandro was the absolute highlight of our time in Boston!
From the moment we started, his terrific energy and infectious enthusiasm set the tone for an incredible experience. Alejandro isn't just reciting facts—he brings history alive. He shared so many enlightening details and lesser-known stories about the people and pivotal events of the American Revolution that we had never heard before, giving us a whole new perspective on the city's past.
He struck the perfect balance between deeply informative storytelling and genuine entertainment. The tour was engaging, insightful, and so much fun from start to finish. If you are visiting Boston and want a tour guide who is truly passionate, knowledgeable, and a joy to spend time with, do not miss a tour with Alejandro! Highly recommended!
Response from Host, Aug 2026

He is an historian with wide knowledge and a real passion for sharing it on the Freedom Trail. He'll be delighted to know he offered you new information and perspectives you're excited about. He brings a warmth and humor to his stories, and both he and his history are very engaging. We're thrilled you enjoyed it so much and really appreciate the review and your recommendation!

calldoug98yahoocom, Aug 2026
While our tour guide was knowledgeable he is also a high teacher. Unfortunately, our tour felt more like a high school history class than a guided tour. Many times we were off to the side from what from was relevant. We passed many historical sights but many times from a distance with limited contact. I learned much more from watching “The Sons of Liberty.” I found this tour subpar.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Good morning, Susan, this is Ted Clark, owner of the small business where you've posted these negative comments. While I'm pleased you found your guide knowledgeable, it's disappointing you feel being a high school history teacher is somehow a negative attribute for a history guide! We employ many teachers, professors, and graduate students who love sharing Boston history, and your guide is no different.
To address one key item: our team loves a good historical drama as much as anyone, but it's worth noting that the "Sons of Liberty" television series is a work of fiction. We promise, the real Samuel Adams was neither young (nor so muscled) by the 1770s! Myths and fables are fun to engage with, but our job as historians is to present the factual realities of life in Revolutionary Boston on tour. Safe travels!
