Dwayne was great. He was super knowledgable and clearly passionate about the history of the capital and DC. We had a smaller group which was fun as we would ask a lot of questions.

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. We were unable to get to the meeting point easily due to street closures around the botanical garden and the Capitol. I was put in touch with the guide who told me we should just wait in the security line to get in to the Capitol and he would meet us there. What he didn’t tell us was that half the tour was before getting on to the security line so we missed seeing the Supreme Court, a main reason I wanted to go on the tour. Then we ended up waiting an hour before the guide caught up with us in the Capitol. After the Capitol tour which was probably the best part, we were directed to go to the Congressional Library on our own. There was confusion trying to get in to the Library and we were told we had to have tickets. The guide did not tell us anything about downloading additional tickets to get into the Library. I believe he should have escorted us there to avoid this experience. I definitely don’t feel we got our money’s worth for this tour and was very disappointed.

There is only guided tour of the capitol. This part of the experience was wonderful. The library of congress is a self guided tour.
Our guide Dwayne was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient.
I wish there was a separate entrance to the capitol for groups. It took a long time waiting in line to get into the building.

Waste of money, wish I would have just booked our tickets through the us capitol earlier. $120 just to have someone else get your tickets, when it’s free if you do it yourself! Our guide walked us into the capitol, then sent a text of our tickets to go to the library. Don’t waste your money.

Don’t do it. Was 2 minute late to meetup location, could not find or identify anyone with the group. viator is worthless. Tried to message tour guide through viator app, got no response. We probably could have caught up with the group and taken the tour if I was able to contact the tour family lost out on the experience and the cost of 5 tickets, too. I almost feel like we were scammed.

The guide was terrific. Lots of good info and made it fun for the kids. Definitely got more out of it with the guide.
We went on Monday- didn’t realize the Library of Congress was closed. That’s the only reason this isn’t 5 Star. We might have booked a different day if we knew it was closed.

The tour guide provided a wealth of information and kept everyone engaged. The views were delightful and filled in much left out in photographs. It set the stage for independent touring which would allow targeting a site more deeply if one preferred.
