Operating Schedule: Tours depart every half hour from Union Station (50 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002) beginning at 9am until 4pm. Tour operates daily. Shuttle available from Lincoln Memorial to transfer to Arlington National Cemetery for that portion of the tour. Shuttles run every half hour from 9am - 3:30pm

The best way to get the lay of the land before walking 5 miles a day. It rained the day we took this tour, the bus was comfortable and dry.

Great way to see the city and all the sites. All the drivers have great personalities and offer wonderful information (both historical and comical). The stops were frequent enough to not feel like you were riding a bus all day, yet you were able to travel a great distance in the time allotted.

An alternative to the Metro for getting around to the sites. Think about where you want to go first so that you don't waste time going the entire route then deciding.

Allow the full day to experience all the amazing stops. You are welcome to stay on the tour vs getting off to walk.

Does not stop right at each attraction
Drop offs are far from where you need to be to enter ….and you still have to figure out how to get to the entrance …a lot of walking to get where you want to go
Stops to get on and off during the tour are not clearly marked …
Did not stop at every location on map and did not mention the timed tickets to get into Smithsonian museum's.
So , time may not allow to do all the stops

Great drivers with a lot of information. I was disappointed that it took over an hour at the Arlington Cemetery for the bus to to pick us up so we weren't able to get off at another stop in fear we
Wouldn't be picked us as it would have been to close to 4:00. We began our tour at 9:00. It's great if you want to drive around for the information, but not if you actually want to get off the bus to tour as it was not 20-30 minutes for pickup.

I get that Arlington is a working cemetery and is a place of respect, but the shuttle stop signs are not well-marked. People could probably get an online map of the noteworthy sites with explanations of the people buried and save themselves the trouble of the cemetery shuttle. The city tour was very good and informative.

Buses were not every 30 minutes. . We waited over an hour for a bus to pick us up. . Bus stop not clearly marked . Disappointed with the drivers/ narrators. Taken hop on hop off in many cities and have had excellent experiences. DC was the exception.

Viator lists incorrect pickup sites. I lost 2 hours trying to find the correct location. I couldn’t reach Viator. I finally reached the actual carrier and they informed me of the correct stop locations. They told me they notified Viator weeks prior to change the locations. The bus and drivers were good.

THIS is the way to do Washington DC!
Multiple trolleys-multiple drivers, and each one with a unique personality and DIFFERENT commentaries about the monuments (not a memorized script) One comes by every 20 minutes. All the great stops-none of the walking!!

The tour (other than the Arlington Natl Cemetery part of it) was very good. There are lots of stops, at any of which you could spend hours. This is what we did, thus we missed a lot because it was getting late and we were tired. I would love to be given the option to split this tour into two days, so you could see more.
As for the Arlington National Cemetery part of the tour, this wasn't nearly as well run or organized. There were supposed to be five stops on this tour, but there were only three. Also, when we were ready to depart, we had to wait a long time for the bus. There was one parked at the pick-up spot, but the driver sleeping in the back informed us that he was "on break". While I completely understand that breaks are necessary, I feel he should have moved his bus out of the area. We asked a couple of employees when the next bus would be along ... one of them was nice enough to make a call to find out, but the only answer that was given was "she'll be along". Not helpful.

It's nearly everywhere you want to be, or certainly close.
Drivers Joe Moe and Hollywood provided plenty of helpful and interesting narrative about events and places we otherwise would have missed. Be sure to include Arlington. There is an extra charge when you arrive at Arlington if you want to take the tram instead of walk, but it's well worth it.
These drivers let you know they are there to make sure you enjoy your spin(s) around DC, high marks and thank you!

Lots and lots of walking. Always seemed rushed to get back to pickup spot to make next stop. Didn't have time to utilize HOHO efficiently to see the city. Would be better if it ran later. Probably could have utilized taxis for the same price and not felt hurried.

This is not a 21 stop tour as it is advertised. It is a 15 stop tour. Yes you can get on the trolly at any of the 15 stops, but you need to be standing by a green and orange trolley bus sign. We started at the Air and Space Museum and were standing 200 feet down the sidewalk from the sign and never got picked up. After calling customer service we were first told that museum was no longer a stop. Then told to walk 20 minutes to get to a different stop. Then told we needed to look for a trolly that stated 21 stop on it (we saw the 15 stop trolley) and then we were hung up on by customer service after about a 30 minute call. We ended up taking an Uber to the start of the tour. We were upset when we stopped at stop 4 of the tour and it was the Air and Space Museum! Customer service needs to be better or don’t have someone answering the phone. The tour was a lot of waiting for the trolly. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and we saw a lot of the city and Arlington Cemetery. Just don’t think I will suggest this to anyone else. We wasted an hour and a half of our tour time just trying to get on the trolly.
