The Washington monument is well worth visiting. Great views of the city. Because of the tickets it is not crowded at the top and the views are great. We were sent the wrong tickets (wrong name) and entry time but they still let us in, thankfully. The number to call for problems was non responsive.
First time getting to go to the top of the Washington monument. Super cool seeing the sights at the top, lots of interesting info about the history of the monument. Highly recommend!
This is a scam. The tickets were already used. Once scanned at the entrance the ranger informed us they had already been scanned and to contact the issuer for a refund.
The tickets from the Park Service came via email the night before exactly as stated. Worked great! Exactly like the Park Service
Views were great! We did not have to wait until our time due to low traffic. We were able to take some great pictures of all monuments.
The actual tickets are for free from the Park service not only is this expensive. It also was very difficult to get access to any kind of ticket.
The Washington monument visit was good. The thing to warn others about is if you have the time to plan you visit the tickets are either free or $1 from the actual site. Where you have to watch is if you don’t plan or on a limited schedule companies like viator buy all the $1 tickets up and resell them for $15. I believe in capitalism and I guess this is it at its finest.
I was charged $32 for two tickets to the Washington Monument that would’ve cost $2 if I’d bought them at the monument. A little overpriced.
It was very difficult to get the ticket after paying, after calling to customer support for a couple times I was able to get the ticket with QR code at last. Then everything went well. Make sure your have the ticket even after they send you the voucher.
The monument was closed for maintenance the date we were due to visit with pre booked pre paid tickets.
We have contacted the tour operator with no reply as of yet
We are visiting from UK for 5 days. Little time for rebooting.
Can we have some contact please?
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your review, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused by the Washington Monument’s unexpected maintenance closure.
Please note that closures for maintenance are determined by the National Park Service and are unfortunately outside of our control.
You are welcome to visit the following day. The Washington Monument will honor your ticket, so there is no need to rebook or purchase another ticket. Simply present your existing ticket when you arrive.
We understand that your time in Washington, D.C. is limited, especially when visiting from the UK, and we hope you’re able to enjoy your visit the following day.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you have a wonderful rest of your trip.
To be honest I would say don’t use your service . Instructions were not clear enough. Not clear how to get the tickets. Tickets need to be sent within a set period of time after booking.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry that you felt the ticket delivery process was not clear enough.
For clarification, Washington Monument admission tickets are generally sent 24–48 hours prior to the scheduled activity. For same-day or last-minute bookings, our team works to secure and send the tickets as quickly as possible.
Because of the limited availability and timed-entry requirements at the Washington Monument, we strongly recommend booking several days in advance whenever possible rather than waiting until the day of the visit.
The Viator voucher also contains important instructions regarding the ticket process, and we always recommend carefully reviewing the complete voucher before arriving at the attraction.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make these instructions as clear as possible for future guests.
Buyers very careful this is not a legitimate tour never got the tickets or a response from this company !!!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We’re sorry to see this review, but we would like to clarify that this is a legitimate product, and many guests successfully use our service to visit the Washington Monument.
The Viator confirmation itself is not the admission ticket, which is clearly stated in the voucher instructions. The required Washington Monument QR tickets are sent separately, generally 24–48 hours before the scheduled visit. For same-day or last-minute bookings, our team works to send them as quickly as possible.
We strongly encourage guests to book several days in advance, carefully read the voucher instructions, and check their email/text messages for the separate ticket information before arriving.
We take concerns about missing tickets seriously. If you contact us with your reservation information, we will be happy to review exactly what was sent and when.
We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this for future travelers.
Tickets to the Washington Monument are FREE on the Park Service website. They go on sale at 3 pm each day and you need to log in right then. Tickets go fast. That said, I did pay $60 for 3 tickets to assure that I could get availability on a particular day.The reason for that high cost: a "self-guided tour" of the Monument is what I was paying for (I received an email that said that). The information in that "tour" is available FREE on the walls of the Monument. I learned nothing new from the Viator information. Unless you absolutely must have a specific date, this is an utterly unnecessary expense.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify an important point for future travelers.
Washington Monument admission tickets are free through the National Park Service, and we do not charge for the Monument admission ticket itself. This is disclosed as part of our experience.
The price paid through Viator is for our self-guided tour product and reservation service, with the timed Washington Monument admission provided complimentary with the experience. This can be particularly helpful for travelers who want to plan for a specific date rather than trying to obtain the limited free tickets directly when they are released.
We completely understand that some visitors may prefer to obtain their own free tickets directly from the National Park Service, and that is certainly an option. Our product is intended for travelers who prefer the convenience of purchasing the self-guided experience and having the timed admission arranged as part of it.
We appreciate your feedback and are glad you were able to visit the Washington Monument on your preferred date.
A few times were available for same day booking, with a price... The sessions are quick in 30 min intervals, small groups. Fast elevator to the top, with amazing views, 360 degrees, from inside the monument.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad you were able to secure a same-day time and enjoy the incredible 360-degree views from the top of the Washington Monument.
Just to clarify, your purchase includes our Washington, D.C. Self-Guided Tour, with the timed Washington Monument admission tickets provided complimentary as part of the experience.
We hope you enjoyed exploring D.C. and appreciate you choosing Attractions4us!

Total scam!! Didn’t receive anything, then when you call the number to New York they pick up in silence on a cell phone that stays that way until they disconnect you. Called about 30 times and nothing as we sat out in front of the monument. Even the park ranger told us that Viator was a scam. Viator is more like Violator. Don’t was your time because you’ll end up doing a charge back to get your money back thus wasting more time. TOTAL SCAM.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We’re sorry you were frustrated, but we need to clarify the facts regarding this reservation.
The Washington Monument tickets for this booking were provided to the guest in three separate ways: they were emailed, sent by text message via a ticket link, and uploaded directly into the Viator system.
In addition, the Viator voucher clearly states in red lettering that the Viator voucher is NOT the Washington Monument admission ticket and directs the guest to access the separately provided tickets.
Our records therefore show that the tickets were issued and made available before the scheduled visit. We also strongly disagree with characterizing this as a “scam.” Attractions4us is an established tour and attraction provider, and this reservation included valid Washington Monument tickets that were delivered through multiple channels.
We understand that missing or overlooking the separate admission ticket can be frustrating, especially while standing outside the monument. However, saying that nothing was received does not reflect our delivery records.
We would be happy to provide Viator with the email, text-message, ticket-link, and system delivery records associated with this reservation so they can independently verify that the tickets were provided.
The tickets that were provided were already used. It is a scam! When contacted they provided another set of tickets that also did not work.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we would like to clarify that the tickets provided to you contained unique QR codes that were issued specifically for your reservation and were not provided to anyone else. When you contacted us regarding the issue, we promptly provided replacement tickets in an effort to assist you.
We take accusations of fraud or scams very seriously. At no point did we knowingly provide previously used tickets, and the QR codes supplied to you were unique. We regret that you experienced difficulty accessing the Washington Monument, but it is not accurate to characterize our service as a scam.
Awesome!!!! And we had tickets for a day, and they closed the monument due to how hot! Viator and the park rangers honored my tickets and we could use the next day! Was so easy, and the most amazing views!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you, Natalie! We’re so happy everything worked out, especially after the Monument had to close because of the extreme heat. It’s wonderful to hear that your tickets were honored the next day and that the process was easy.
And we agree—the views from the top are absolutely amazing!
Thank you for choosing Attractions4us and for sharing your experience. We hope to see you again on another adventure!
— Attractions4us Team
The time to go to the top was short and the views were amazing! I would absolutely recommend this tour!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re delighted you enjoyed your visit to the top of the Washington Monument and those incredible views of Washington, D.C.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another experience soon!
— Attractions4us Team
Needs a little time to receive the tickets by email. You do not need to print the tickets. You can show QRcode at entry on phond.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you, Christiane, for sharing your experience! We’re glad everything worked smoothly.
As you mentioned, please allow a little time after booking for the separate admission tickets to be delivered by email and text. There’s no need to print them—simply open the ticket link and show the QR code on your phone at the entrance.
We appreciate the helpful tip for future guests and hope you enjoyed the spectacular views from the top!
— Attractions4us Team
Do not do this tour. We got to the Washington Monument and were told the tickets were not valid. They had been sold to someone else. They tried to scan them twice but none worked. We were told this is a problem and the park ranger told us this has been happening and planned to report it. I gave it a one because I was not able to give it a zero.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We’re sorry you were disappointed, but we want to clarify that the tickets we provide contain unique QR codes and are not knowingly sold to multiple guests. Guests must use the actual QR-coded Washington Monument admission tickets we send—not the Viator voucher, which is clearly marked in red as “This is not a ticket.”
For every reservation, we make the correct QR-coded tickets available through multiple channels, including email, text message, and the Viator portal. If the Viator voucher is presented instead of the QR-coded admission ticket, it will not scan for entry.
We take claims that tickets were “sold to someone else” very seriously. Our goal is to provide guests with the correct admission tickets and clear instructions so they can enjoy one of Washington, D.C.’s most iconic experiences.
It was really fun, not sure what to write. :) Elevator goes up, see all 4 directions and a beautiful view of the capital building!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you, Christopher! 😊 Sometimes the best experiences are the simplest to describe—ride the elevator up and enjoy the incredible views!
We’re so glad you had a fun time and enjoyed the beautiful 360-degree views of Washington, D.C., especially the U.S. Capitol. Thank you for choosing Attractions4us!
— Attractions4us Team
This was very easy and simple but be aware: they do NOT accept the bar code you are sent-go into the text message and hit that link to get your QR code.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your review! We’re glad you found the process easy and simple.
And thank you for highlighting this important detail for future guests: the Viator booking voucher/barcode is not the admission ticket. Guests must open the ticket link sent by text and/or email to access the QR code required for entry to the Washington Monument. We also make this clear on the voucher to help avoid confusion.
We appreciate you sharing the tip and hope you enjoyed the amazing views from the top!
— Attractions4us Team
Weather canceled but no refund
We can’t get in touch with the tour guide. No one showed up there was no bad weather.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
We’re sorry the Washington Monument was closed and that you were unable to enjoy your scheduled visit. The Monument is operated by the National Park Service, and closures can occur for weather, safety, or operational reasons outside of our control. This is a self-guided experience, so there is no tour guide scheduled to meet guests at the Monument.
Most importantly, all affected reservations were refunded due to the closure. We understand how disappointing it is when an attraction closes unexpectedly, but we made sure guests impacted by the cancellation received their refunds.
Ticketing was smooth the QR code ticket worked great. The views from the top from all diretion were priceless! For summer travel hat and umbrella is strongly recommended as there are 0 shade in the outdoor wait bench outside.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad the ticketing process was smooth, your QR code worked perfectly, and you enjoyed the priceless 360-degree views from the top of the Washington Monument.
Great tip for summer visitors as well—a hat, umbrella, and plenty of water can definitely make the outdoor wait more comfortable.
Thank you for choosing Attractions4us, and we hope you enjoy many more amazing experiences in Washington, D.C.!
— Attractions4us Team
Be aware that this $20 pp ticket is available on the Federal Parks Dept website for free. I was not aware and was told by a parks dept staffer when we entered the line and was having trouble accessing my tickets from Viator. No need to pay! My bad for not doing the research!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify an important point for future guests.
The amount paid is not for the Washington Monument admission ticket itself. Our product is a Washington, D.C. Self-Guided Tour experience, which includes our digital self-guided tour content and service. The timed Washington Monument admission ticket is provided complimentary with the experience.
Washington Monument tickets may also be available directly through Recreation.gov, subject to availability. Our experience is an option for travelers who choose the convenience of our self-guided tour package and included timed reservation.
We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this distinction and hope you enjoyed the incredible views from the top of the Washington Monument.
— Attractions4us Team
We purchased these tickets because tickets were no longer available on recreation.gov for the time/day we needed. Buying these tickets enabled us to keep the schedule we planned for. These tickets are FREE on recreation.gov and you should only pay for them here if you can't get them there.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your review! We’re glad we were able to help you keep your planned schedule and visit the Washington Monument when reservations were no longer available for your preferred time on Recreation.gov.
For clarification, guests are purchasing our Washington, D.C. Self-Guided Tour experience. The timed Washington Monument admission tickets are provided complimentary with the experience and are not what the guest is being charged for.
We appreciate you choosing Attractions4us and hope you enjoyed the incredible views from the top!
— Attractions4us Team
They charge $20 a ticket, when the tour through the actual Washington Monument is FREE. The park ranger told us to call this company and demand a refund. They refuse to refund us! Stealing and scamming!!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback, Christine. We would like to clarify that our product is not simply the complimentary Washington Monument ticket. The admission ticket itself is complimentary, and we do not represent otherwise. The price paid is for our packaged service, which includes the advance reservation service and our self-guided Washington, D.C. tour materials, with a complimentary timed Washington Monument admission ticket included.
This allows travelers to secure their plans in advance while also receiving additional self-guided content to enhance their visit. The inclusions and pricing are displayed on the product page before purchase. We are a third-party experience provider, not the National Park Service, and guests who prefer to obtain complimentary tickets directly from the official source may certainly do so, subject to availability.
It was difficult acquiring the ticket unless you have the app. There should be be another option to acquire ticket.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry there was some confusion accessing your ticket.
The Viator app is not required to receive or access your Washington Monument admission ticket. We provide the ticket through multiple methods, including email and a text message with a direct link to the QR code, so guests can access it directly from their phone without downloading the Viator app.
Please note that the Viator voucher/barcode is not the admission ticket. Guests should use the separate QR code provided through the ticket link for entry.
We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make these instructions as clear as possible for future guests.
— Attractions4us Team
The tour was cancelled and a refund or a rebooking was not offered. Waste of time and resources. I do not recommend for anyone trying to book a tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you for your feedback, AJ. We’re sorry that the Washington Monument was unable to accommodate your visit as scheduled.
We would like to clarify that a full refund was issued for your booking. While closures or cancellations at the Washington Monument can occur for operational, weather, or safety reasons outside of our control, we always want our guests to be treated fairly when their experience cannot take place.
We regret the inconvenience and disappointment this caused and hope you’ll consider visiting the Washington Monument again in the future.
— Attractions4us Team
It’s easy to book through Viator and they respond through message for all the doubts that you have. Experience in the monument was awesome!
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Thank you, Archana! We’re so happy to hear that booking was easy and that our team was able to answer your questions along the way.
Most importantly, we’re thrilled you had an awesome experience at the Washington Monument and enjoyed the incredible views from the top!
Thank you for choosing Attractions4us and for sharing your experience!
