The Washington Monument requires all guests to go through physical security screening to access the monument. The security line normally takes around 15-30 minutes but can be even longer on major holidays.
The Washington Monument operates in rain or shine.

The inside of the monument does not allow smoking, vaporizers, e-cigarettes, food and drink (except water in clear bottles), large bags, or weapons.
The Monument is wheelchair accessible
Strollers are not permitted inside the Monument. You must leave the stroller in the designated, unattended parking area outside, often near the entrance or along the side of the building.
No Animals, except Service Animals
Minors (17 or under) must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
The Washington Monument is a self-guided experience
If you book the option with the guided walking tour, your entry time to the monument will be for a time after the end of your tour.

Was very simple and seamless just wish cost was less..they are free thru Washington Monument website but they go fast. So i did appreciate this other avenue to get tickets but maybe only charge $10/ea since were originally free.

Viator misrepresented their offer by selling the same ticket to multiple people. We only got in because the Rangers were sympathic to those of us who were mislead by Viator.

We understand how concerning it must have been to feel that the tickets were oversold. To clarify, Viator acts as a marketplace and voucher provider, but the actual timed-entry tickets are issued separately and are required for entry. The Viator voucher alone is not valid for admission. Your official tickets were emailed to you on the day of purchase and uploaded to the Viator portal. We have not been informed of any confirmed instances of duplicate ticket issuance on our end. However, we understand that situations on-site can sometimes lead to confusion, and we appreciate that the Rangers were able to assist you. We always recommend reviewing and downloading your official tickets at least 24 hours prior to your visit, and reaching out to us in advance if anything is unclear so we can resolve it before arrival. If you would like, we are happy to review your booking in detail and resend your tickets for your records.

Worked out great. I ordered the tickets the same week arrived in D.C. They sent the link the day before and it worked out great on my timed arrival at the monument. I will use them next time I'm in Washington for the Capital tour.

The National Park Rangers made the trip great!

Viator sent me bar codes for their “passes” once I received them I was required to complete More steps to receive additional bar codes. The second set of bar codes are the ACTUAL tickets to enter the Washington Memorial . The National Parks Rangers were absolutely wonderful. They assisted me with calling viator and having them email me the correct bar codes. I checked ALL my emails and texts and had NOT received them. They tried to blame me. In the end they sent them to me, and we got in.

Scam, tickets that were sent were already used

We were sold tickets and did receive them the night before but every person in our line had the same ticket number and QR code. The ranger showed us that the ticket had already been used. So these may be photoshopped or it was one ticket that was sold to everyone in line!!!

Each ticket issued has a unique barcode, and your individual barcode was sent to you by email prior to your visit. The Viator confirmation number is not a valid entry ticket and cannot be used for scanning at the entrance. If multiple guests were presenting the same code, it is likely that the incorrect document (such as the booking confirmation) was used instead of the actual ticket with the unique barcode. Please make sure to open the email containing your tickets and present the correct barcode for entry.

We need another ticket last min and this was great we got the ticket right away as I got my family tickets about a month ago and my husband wanted to join. We love the monument and DC. Really great for families and this was super easy.

Very disappointed in your service. By the grace of the 2 men working at front entry, we were able to participate. Your ticket never appeared and they said that’s third couple today that had bad experience. Do better!!!!
