This haunted pub crawl is one of the most unique experiences in SF. The tour winds through four bars (where you can grab a drink and some food) and several other spots -- most are haunted, and all have a rich and eerie history. Our tour guide, Jamie, was a great storyteller and consummate SF expert. He engaged with all of the guests, welcomed any and all of our questions, and had knowledge about SF far beyond just the tour's spooky stories. I recommend this tour to tourists and Bay Area locals alike. You're sure to have a fun evening and learn something new.

Fun way to experience San Francisco

Had a great time checking out a few different places around San Francisco. Each bar was very different, so it was cool to get a variety. We ended the night in China Town when the tour ended, and our group was having such a good time we stayed and had some more drinks!

Pub tour but the tour guide was “California sober” and explained how drinking is worst then the pot he smokes which might be true but he seemed kind of aloof and high during our tour.. Also, I asked couple questions and he literally made up answer to one of my questions (I took another walking tour and found out real answer). Last thing, the guide was super loud so people would look at us when in a bar and he would rudely point them out saying he knew they were just looking at us because they wanted to be at our table. My eyes rolled with theirs. I rarely give bad reviews but can’t recommend this one.

This is about history and ghost stories surrounding the locations which are now bars or pubs. The stories were interesting. We were guiding through a part of SF that we would have otherwise missed, so that was very much appreciated. I supposed I expected a little bit more of a pub crawl, with drinks, food and discussion (not included in the price of course). Our group was small. The 2 bars we stopped in, I did have time for a drink. It was really a city tour with stories of past evils that took place leading to stories of hauntings. We liked our guide, Jamie. He made it fun and entertaining.

This was one of most informative and fun tours I’ve taken. Our guide was a great story teller and engaged every participant. Every historic pub was unique with interesting and spoke back story. I would actually repeat this tour again someday.

Jamie is a local historian with deep knowledge of supernatural and oft gruesome Bay area lore. He has a talent for storytelling and creating dialogue with clients. As a sailor and westcoaster, my favorite part was learning about the changing shorelore associated with the Maritime history stop. Mick was flexible and responsive in rebooking our tour when a flight was delayed and we couldnt make the orignial booking date. Small, local company providing superior service and experience.

As SF locals, we thought we’d expect to have some fun on a Saturday. The experience was fantastic. Our guide Jaime, an historian and fantastic storyteller, brought a tale of the gold rush to life never taught to us. All the bars we stopped at served great cocktails. We had an awesome time and have already recommended to so many family and friends.

The guide was kind , funny , intuitive and knowledgeable. He also gave the tour through an anti colonialism lens and was very respectful of discussing different culltural views and experiences of oppression. It was great to have conversations as a group I have lived in San Francisco for 25 years and I learned so much more history about this amazing place . I can’t wait to go back and explore more history on my own . I loved seeing the wild parrots and walking through North Beach and Chinatown at night . The bars were cool too , but we were often outside so it would be a fine tour for someone to go on even if they don’t drink . The walk wasn’t too far either - 2 people in the group had some mobility concerns and they did just fine . We had an excellent night and it left me inspired.

Eric was a VERY entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide! We not only learned about some hauntings and true crime, but also about the history of San Francisco from its founding to the present day. Even though I've lived in the Bay Area for 2 years I discovered new areas of the city and places I never would've gone to otherwise. Highly recommended!

Good stories in shady areas

Met at Barbarossa for pickup then walked to Old Ship Saloon. Stories were good, however the trip went down alley ways and into the “shady” parts of town. Definitely uncomfortable. We ended at the Lion’s Den and the guide just disappeared. Have no idea where he went or why we ended at that place.

Hi Karen, So sorry you didn't get the full history of Lion's Den which is a reincarnation of a club from the 1930s/40s. It is confirmed haunted by the new owner and bartenders who experienced lots of activity during construction. However, I am shocked that you considered anywhere on the tour "shady." People come from all over the world to visit Chinatowns alleyways. The only other alleyways we traverse are in Jackson Square - one of the chicest parts of San Francisco! I shudder to think what you thought of the rest of the city.
