Ben was a terrific guide. He was very knowledgeable about the mission district and food in general. The first three tastings were all good but would have preferred more selection. Other food tours we’ve been on have had more stops and typically multiple tastings at each stop, sometimes served family style. The last stop for ice cream was just okay. Ben was a good storyteller and tour would have been a five if more food tastings.

This is the best way to get acquainted with the Mission District. I had no idea how many amazing bars and restaurants have popped up there. Each stop was fantastic and our guides had arranged for the owners or managers of each establishment to meet with us and tell their stories. I highly recommend!!

Overall a very good experience. Ben, our guide did a nice job in giving just enough history/facts about the area and restaurants. He has a very pleasant way dealing with people.
We look forward to returning another time and taking the North Beach progressive dinner!!

Great tour; good group and tour guide. Truly enjoyed getting to know the Mission District and the many new food and drink spots changing the culinary flavor of the area. Kevin was very personable and knowledgeable re: the theme of the tour. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We had an excellent time touring the Mission District in San Francisco with our tour guide Daniel. He told us the history of many of the murals and also provided interesting information about the artists. We began our tour with a cheese/beer tasting at Mission Cheese. Next stop was Tacolicious where we enjoyed an excellent fish taco and two samples of margaritas, one of which was prepared with a habanero tequila Oh my God!. We then proceeded on to Gracias Madre where we were served a sweet potato enchilada-like dish. Our last stop was an ice cream shop where we had salted caramel ice cream. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Mission District and highly recommend it to others!

Kayleigh was an excellent guide. We did the morning tour starting with smoked pork tacos and the most amazing bloody Mary's. This was followed by Cheese and Beer pairing, a vegan entree and the best ice cream we've ever tasted. Our guide was informative, entertaining and completely changed our view of The Mission district. We had no idea of its culinary heritage and this tour really brought that to life. We definitely recommend this tour.

4.5 stars. Our guide, Kayla, was very friendly, informative, entertaining and kept us on schedule without making us feel hurried. She obviously had great relationships with the various restaurants and vendors/chefs/managers. We await receipt of her notes from our great tour.

Great experience. Kayla was a great guide and host. Learned more about the Mission district. Food was interesting and had multiple stops to sample. Learned a little history of each food stop and in moist cases met the owner who explained the food we ate.

Very well organized, fun and informative tour. Our tour guide, Zev, had a great sense of humor and made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable while guiding us through the Mission district - a truly culinary gem in the city. Highly recommended!

As a tour with food around the Mission district, this worked well. our guide, Corinne, was very passionate and knowledgeable about her subject and interested in her tour group. Starting off at the Cheese Bar was very good as this is a hugely different concept - we had a great talk by the proprietor whose knowledge is formidable. For me it went downhill from there - on to 2 very noisy restaurants : Hog and Rocks and Tacalicious. The oyster, ham and cocktail in Hog and Rocks were good, no getting past that, very good but then followed up by 2 tacos didn't make it stand out as special or different. The advertised blurb said "make your own empanadas" for example but there was nothing like that and really and although in the market, where an employee talked to us about seasonal produce, there was no interaction with any of the staff. As a committed foodie with a huge interest in locally produced / sourced and seasonal food, I think that this tour could probably be expanded but I really do appreciate the significant amount of work involved in putting this together. Just for me, against what was advertised and the price, unfortunately it didn't work.

it was more than we expected didn't know that the mission district had that much to offer. I have to say I tried some things that I probably wouldn't have tried, like oysters vegan Mexican food goat cheese we had a great time recommending it to all our friends. We would like to try the other food tour on our next visit Corrinne was awesome she was very enthused which made us excited to see. great job money well spent

The food tour guide, Zev, was very knowledgeable about the various places we visited, the owners and the different types of food we tasted. He made the tour entertaining and and provided interesting information about the murals which we wouldn't have found in a guide book.

My son (11 years old) and I had a fantastic time with this. We have done other "foodie tours" in other cities but this was one of the best. Corinne was a wonderful young lady with lots of energy and a great attitude. She was very personable with everyone in the group and even a stray we picked up at one point. The restaurants we visited we prepared for us, very liberal with their portions (we were stuffed beyond any of our prior food tours) and staff was very fun to chat with. I have actually already recommended this to some friends that will be in the area in two months!
Connie C, Jul 2014
Our guide was very interesting and knowledgable. The food was so wonderful that after the tour we went back to the local vendors and bought more to take back to our hotel!
Francisco M, May 2014
This is a wonderful tour that makes one feel like a local. Even if I lived in San Francisco, I would go on it. The food sampled was delicious; the insight obtained into the city and its diversity was invaluable; the tour leader could not have been better. A must do when in San Francisco!!
Mr_G, Apr 2014
Absolutely worthwhile!
What a great way to see some of the city you would not normally experience.
Our guide Zev, was the reason the tour was so enjoyable. His knowledge and enthusiasm was sensational... Go do it!
Debbie N, Feb 2014
