The guide will be checking in guests at the cable car station on the corner of Market and Drumm Street (by the Robert Frost marker), from 15 minutes before the tour is due to begin. Be sure to allow extra time for traffic and finding parking. We CANNOT wait for latecomers, there are other guests.

Tour ends in the historic neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury, which is a great place to get lunch and only a few stops on a MUNI bus from the start point. Our guide can direct you to where you need to go after the tour.

Great paced tour. Jamie was a very knowledgeable guide, who provided interesting information about much of San Francisco’s history. Riding the different types of public transport with Jamie was easy and fun.

Nice small group, with knowledgeable local guide. Had to take 3 crowded public buses, instead of cable car as advertised, due to Fleet Week event. Guide should keep politics out of any commentary.

A wealth of experience and knowledge delivered by a first class professional tour guide who by the end of the trip had become our friend.
Jamie, our guide, took us to places which we would never have found on our own and, aided by his extensive back catalogues of ‘old SF’ made the tour come to life.
A true expert of the SF music scene as well as its architectural heritage, it was a privilege to listen to his explanations and descriptions of everything cultural.

The tour was more of a personal story rather than a tour of San Fran. It is overpriced. We were hoping to see much more of the city.

We're sorry to hear that these guys didn't enjoy the tour. We certainly want all of our guests to have a great time, it's why we do this.
The guide did report that these guests asked him several times about which sights they were going to see in the afternoon and the guide had to point out that they had booked the half day tour. So it seems like they might have booked the half day tour by mistake, or there was some confusion there.
In any case we'd love to get more detailed feedback on these guests' tour. If they could email us with the information we'll definitely look into it further. - Catalina

Our Guide Dara was wonderful! She grew up in San Francisco and had so much interesting information. I would love to take another tour with her. I learned so much and have been sharing with others!

Our tour guide was more interested in educating us on Pride than the advertised history of San Francisco. We liked seeing the different areas of the city and the pictures of the history of the city but that was it. Too much talk about his wife and Pride.

Unfortunately these guys might have visited the wrong location at the wrong time. San Francisco is very identified with the LGBTQ+ community, and we see that as a good thing - not something to be upset about, Also they visited during Pride Week, a huge event here, meaning that we HAVE to talk about it, at least when visiting Castro (and the fact that the guide has a personal involvement in it is a GOOD thing).
We strongly believe in travel as being a way to learn about different customs and cultures by keeping an open mind. It seems like these guys are not quite ready for that, which is a shame, but hopefully in time they can reflect differently on it.

This was the perfect half day walking tour . Jason was a great tour guide . We got to tour San Fran like a local riding cable cars , buses and street car . We learned a lot of history. I recommend this tour for 1st timers

We had the best time. We ended up being the only people on the tour so we got a personalized tour of San Francisco. We started on the cable car and went the Cable Car museum which is great! Then off we went to a street fair in the Castro District. The last stop was what I call the "hippy" district of Ashley and Haight. I would recommend this to everyone,

Really enjoyed this walking tour around San Francisco. It was great that the cable car rides were included in the cost and we covered a lot of ground in the 4 hours. Our guide Mark was entertaining and knowledgeable about his home city. Highly recommended.
