Itinerary
Board your luxury vehicle for the trip to Yosemite National Park in one of two locations in San Francisco. Cross the Bay Bridge and travel through the Central Valley, where you'll stop to buy picnic supplies, and then into the foothills of the Sierra.
Upon arrival at Yosemite, embark on a guided bus tour of Yosemite Valley's best-known attractions. Then, enjoy free time to explore on your own. Rent a bike (own expense) to cruise the valley floor, visit the Ansel Adams Gallery, or hit up the rangers station for informative lectures and guided walks. Peruse the Indian Village of the Ahwahnee or stroll along the banks of the Merced River.
Afterward, meet back at the bus to return to San Francisco.

The park itself was absolutely beautiful, even more so that I imagined. One of those experiences that exceeds expectations, even when those were already high. Our guide, Bryan, contributed a lot to the experience. He was very knowledgeable and always so kind and helpful to anyone who needed it. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was what was described in the tour package, except for one important point highlighted in the very first bullet point of the tour description:
3 hours of free time to walk, hike, and explore Yosemite Valley's highlights
Unfortunately, we did not get 3 hours of free time, nor even 2 and a half hours, but only a little over 2 hours, which was very hard to even just see some of the other interesting sights in Yosemite valley… :(
Our driver which was also our guide was nice, helpful and pleasant. However, if the 3 hours (as stated) is a stretch to provide the tourists with free time, due to traffic or other factors, I suggest stating in a more realistic and accurate way:
between 2-3 hours of free time to walk, hike, and explore Yosemite Valley’s highlights (actual availability time may vary due to traffic and other uncontrollable factors)

Booked for the Tuesday but got cancelled so had to choose Monday instead. The tour was operated by GrayLine who also cancelled and rescheduled our other trip this week.
The tour guide Jerry was great & Yosemite was AMAZING but there was no aircon on the bus. California is really hot!! It was upper 90’s today and we were packed on a sweat box for 5 hours straight driving back from Yosemite. It was hellish and everyone onboard was miserable and complaining. Poor Jerry got hardly any tips because he bore the brunt of everyone’s frustrations but the fault lies with Gray Line cutting corners and packing us on to a bus too small to be comfortable for that long a trip with no air con. That bus shouldn’t have gone out. Absolutely ruined the experience for everyone on the tour.

The bus drive is a longer duration than actual time spent in the park. Itinerary scheduled “stops” were basically a drive by. Our bus had multiple issues; first a “mechanical issue” when entering the park causing a delay. The second was a flat tire which the driver was ill prepared for; it took over two hours to obtain a “rescue bus”. We didn't arrive back to start area until of 4 hours late! Be prepared for bus driver that talks non stop, some information regarding the National Park and other just babbling on. I would recommend an alternative tour for the Sequoias and Nation Park

Our tour guide Don was very knowledgeable and gave lots of information. He gave us time to stretch out. The only thing i can complain was on our way back the door of the bus was acting up not latching fully so it was kinda loud and was worried that the door fly away.

My family member and I loved how vast and beautiful the mountains are. The bus ride was okay, but there was a setback in which there was no lavatory on the bus. I had to be mindful about needing to use the restroom.

I am sorry to say my birthday trip with 4 of my friends were a disaster. We went to the boat and was told we would not see redwood trees. My booking # is 1284357653. We did not go on the tour because we thought we were on the wrong bus. When I booked the tour I wanted the redwood Forest and Yosemite tour and I thought that is what I was getting. I found out later that I had the wrong booking. My family and friends did not go on the tour and we are here this week to see the redwoods and Yosemite but I am being told there is nothing that Can be done. I paid for 5 people and did not go so are you guys telling me that I can’t be set on another tour since it is already paid for? If not I am requesting my money back. Thank you

However, we would like to clarify that our Yosemite tour does not include a visit to the redwood or sequoia forests. The journey to Yosemite takes over four hours each way, and our priority is to ensure that our guests have enough time to explore and enjoy the incredible Yosemite Valley.
Our tour is designed to focus on the highlights of Yosemite National Park. It includes:
Three hours of free time for hiking and exploring Yosemite Valley, including Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, and Cook’s Meadow.
A one-hour guided driving tour with photo stops at Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall, and El Capitan.
This itinerary is clearly described in our tour listing, and at no point do we advertise redwoods or sequoias as part of this experience. For guests specifically interested in seeing redwood trees, we always recommend our Muir Woods & Sausalito tour instead.

Although the bus was new, it was not a typical comfortable coach. The driver/tour guide in no way was a tour guide. She was a capable driver but shared NO information about our destination which was Yosemiti National Park. The Park was wonderful and the one-day tour would have been better had the tour company trained their driver/tour guide and provided a microphone for the driver and appropriate background information.

The tour itself was fine, however the tour guide drove like a MANIAC. He was speeding up the mountains, taking sharp turns, passing cars on the highway nearly hitting cars, and almost hit a biker driving downtown. There is NO reason to put us and an entire bus of people in a compromising and unsafe position driving like that up a mountain.

This was the most unprofessional, unkind, tour company I have ever had an experience for travel. I have traveled all over the world , tons of tours never have I had a problem.
I experienced the company giving me an incorrect address for pick up location, demands to were to book an uber. We booked an Uber literally four blocks over to the updated location. We were told to stay put where we were as I verified with the tour agent by phone.As we were pulling up to the tour bus in the Uber and I was texting we arrived the tour bus left on purpose.
So if you enjoy spending five hundred dollars to see a bunch of drug addicts, drug needles, protestors, homeless in a dark street at 5:30 am this is the your for you. I paid five hundred dollars not to see Yosemite but to be told off by the tour guide, and left in danger, and a ruined trip. I would give a triple review of miserable.

It’s all about Don!!!! He was a fantastic host and so full of knowledge - we knew it was gonna be a long day - our trip went over about 3hrs - towards the end our family could not wait for it to be over - the bus was comfortable but when it went fast and over big bumps it was painful - in our 15hr trip - we walked around Yosemite for 3 hrs + 2 x 30 min break + a 10 min break - so there is a huge amount of sitting. Yosemite sold itself (everything they say it is - is true). It is a shame time got away from them - and the bus is not bigger and more comfortable - saving grace was Don.

This tour was amazing! Picked us up from our hotel, stoped for food on the way there and back. Brian our tour guy really made the trip though, he know everything about everything and was so passionate about it. We learned so much and he was just a joy to be around, so funny and friendly. I’ve been on a Yosemite tour before but Brian wins be t tour guide hands down.

Yosemite is an absolute experience. 10/10 Park.
1 star thanks to Yosemite being an amazing park, 1 star for a bus driver that did his best.
Bus: No aircon for 80% of our time on the bus. The bus was far from an "air conditioned luxury motor coach". It did have seatbelts.
We were seated up the back basically on top of the engine so we cooked the whole trip. We couldn't wait to get off the bus at every opportunity.
When the tour started the bus driver told us that we had to move because we wouldn't see anything up the back. There were actually no other seats left as there was a bunch of stuff leftover from a previous event taking up the two front seats of the bus. As a couple we didn't want to be split up for the drive so we remained seated at the back.
Despite this our view was actually great from the back and probably slightly better as we were elevated above the rest of the passengers with a decent view of things our guide pointed out along the way.
The park: The bus driver dropped us off at "the lodge" with a pamphlet and basically said "be back on this bus in 3 hours" and left us in the park. He did try and explain some park features / orientation but we really were completely lost as to what to do once in the park. What turns out is that most of the park way finding is designed for people who start from the visitor or welcome centers. The lodge area has a sort of assumption that you already now where you are.
We'd expected a bit more of a guided tour of the park with some free time. In actual fact it's just free time. If we'd properly understood, we'd have went straight to the welcome center and hired a bike. 3 hours free time is just enough to see part of the park but not enough to feel like you have freedom to explore the area to its fullest.
Tour features: There was no water running over the Falls so we skipped the areas to view Falls, no change in the tour price despite this fact.
The tour description mentions admission to the Falls, and El Capitan and other Yosemite highlights but in reality one park entry fee entitles you to this already and the tour itself did not include specific visits to each of the falls and El cap.
If you have the time, find a way to travel into the park yourself and go on the tours ran by the park rangers, hire a bike, stay in a cabin. Anything really beats this glorified bus trip.
This isn't really a tour, it's a same day bus trip with commentary along the way. Despite the drivers best efforts, we didn't get a tour of Yosemite. We got a few anecdotes with viewpoints along the way and dumped at the park with little info to guide us within the park itself.
We'll be looking for a refund.
We can concur with other reviews regarding the unknown identity of a 75yo bus driver with a white beard that earns $26/hour, road rages, loves a stint of gambling and has a strong affinity for Tommy's restaurant in San Francisco (even if it's closed when he's recommended it).

The trip to the park is well worth the visit it is beautiful and trails are lovely unfortunately the bus was not up to standard the toilet could not be used because there was no water tank and the door had to be opened and closed manually which was unfair to the driver as it was a very long drive to the park.

This trip is not what shown in picture. The non-AC bus will drop you at the Yosemite valley and ask you to explore your own on a very limited time. You’ll miss a lot if you don’t pay extra and have enough time to explore.

Had a wonderful trip overall but the aircon on the bus didn't work (it worked for the driver at the front!). Was unbearable at times and some people were really struggling. Bus driver had lots of local knowledge. The bus stopped en route at a well stocked supermarket for lunch, coffees and the toilet but the stop on the way back was a very random farm shop on the main road. Itinerary around the park was good, stopped at 2 view points for 30 mins for photos and we were dropped at a central location for our 3 hours free time. We felt this was a great amount of time for some walking and a lunch stop. If they were to fix the bus aircon this would have been a 5 star trip, but when you're on for 6 hours of your day in total it's hard to ignore!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR! I was really looking forward to this tour BUT sadly it did not meet our expectations. This is a long way from San Francisco - so be prepared for 4+ hours each way on the bus (not including the rest stop). The tour is described as having multiple stops in the park for ultimate views and photos, but we only had one 10-minute photo stop. It is also described as a "Guided Tour" However, we only had a bus driver, NO GUIDE, who did not give us any useful history about Yosemite during our hour plus drive through the park. No stops at Tunnel View, Bridalvale Falls or el Capitain, as described in the tour description. Just one stop for the iconic view of all the peaks. Then we were dropped off in the valley for 3 hours on our own. We were given a park map but no other guidance as where to go or what to do. We did ask someone who worked at the park for guidance and was able to take a nice walk to Yosemite Falls and spend some time there.
On top of this, the AC on the bus did not work, which made much of the long bus ride miserable! It was a very warm day and the hot bus made for many queasy stomachs on the winding roads in, through and out of Yosemite. Additionally, the outlets on the bus did not work so bring your phone portable chargers. And, we were advised not to use the bathroom on the bus.
I tried to get a partial refund from Viator, but was told that they did an investigation and that the tour "operated and finished as described with all stops and inclusions" and was therefore not eligible for any refund. Very poor customer service in my opinion, as we did NOT get all the stops and the accommodations were less than optimal. I would've given it zero or 1 star but Yosemite is beautiful and at least we got to see it.

Park is fantastic but tour was ordinary. AC didn't work and driver/staff knew about it at start, but didn't do anything. 8 hour bus trip...you need AC. By end of trip it was unbearable. Driver Jerry eas a nice guy, but told too many stories. Need to tell facts about the area, not made up stuff. Would also be good to go to base of El Capitan. It was disappointing to pay so much and have no AC.
