We're sorry that you were unaware that we didn't stop on the island. There's another company that does that and that's all they do. It's a 20 minute ride. But we're happy that you joined us, and we're glad you still enjoyed the experience.
A good experience.
A bit chilly in the wind, so bring something to wear if staying outside.
Went to both bridges and around alcatraz. Great little adventure.

Cold even in July when sitting up top. Good overview of The Bay, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. People talking around us made it hard to hear loud speaker.

We missed the original Esacpe by the Rock tour because of traffic. They were nice and let us still did the 1 hour tour. The snack/bar lady was nice and informative.

Cruised under Golden Gate Bridge, did a loop around Alcatraz then under the SF Bay bridge. Saw sea lions coming back into dock. Awesome!
Escape from the Rock was an incredible way to experience Alcatraz from the water. Cruising around the island gives you a whole new perspective—dramatic views of the prison, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the San Francisco skyline all at once. The narration was informative and captivating, sharing fascinating stories about Alcatraz’s history and legendary escape attempts. This was a fantastic trip! Boat ride was comfortable and fun. Choices to sit inside or outside. We loved the narration throughout the trip. It was a great mix of stories about Alcatraz (from prisoners and guards-similar to one you get when you do the tour on Alcatraz) as well as information about the city and history of San Francisco and the bridge.
I would highly recommend this trip.

Not to happy with the tour, maybe it was my mistake but we were looking for Alcatraz tour not around the island. I was ask to select the language and we choose Spanish and tour was in English.

Hi Ana. We apologize that you didn't realized that we do not land on the island. We do try to make that clear in the description. And as for the audio tour, when you select it on your mobile device, there are 9 different languages to choose from. It does start with English but a quick toggle will give you the choice of the others.
We really enjoyed the cruise around the San Francisco Bay. The narrative was great and it was fascinating to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. Also, the narration was very detailed on the historical points about San Francisco, Angeles Island, the events which shaped the history of the Bay, and Alcatraz. I received a wealth of information. Great Tour. I would definitely recommend it to other visitors.
The interviews with residents of the island, inmates, guards and such. Beautiful weather, nice boat.
Everything was fantastic, the weather was great, it was something wonderful for my family, the time on the boats was little, if you could stay longer, it would be great, their service is excellent, I recommend it to live new experiences with family or friends

Great cruise!! Viator should sen vouchers vía email and not sms. I had not roaming available and almost miss the cruise. Thanks God the lady at the ticket office was so helpful and finally was able to retrieve them.
A super experience and a very informative guy on the deck, under the Golden Gate Bridge and around the Alcatraz island and also to the bay bridge and for only a few bucks and an hour and a half, time and money well spent.
We had never been to San Francisco & we all wanted to cruise the harbor, see Alcatraz & go see the Golden Gate Bridge. With the fog, the bridge was shrouded in mist & mystery but Alcatraz was wonderful. The information given on our tour made this old history buff happy. I think we should open up the prison for use again!
We Loved cruising around the prison unfortunately my daughter can’t climb the stairs so we had to stay downstairs
I was up here for a solo work trip and wanted to find something fun to do on my down time. This was perfect! It was very well organized. The vessel was very clean. The trip was a perfect amount of time… just around the island and up to both bridges. I highly recommend it! It’s the best way to get your bearings with the city if you’re new to it as well.!
This was a fantastic experience for my partner and I who had only a short time in San Francisco. It's the perfect blend of sightseeing, some interesting history of the city, and obviously some incredible up close views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. The staff were all super friendly, and we had a fantastic time.
At no point did they say that we would not get off at Alcatraz, only sail around it. Terrible! Não gostei.

I apologize that you feel you were deceived but we most certainly do say that this is only a cruise around the island. We never state in the description that you'll stop on the island.
Great tour you won’t be disappointed. Goes under the GGB, Bay Bridge and circles the Alcatraz Island. Your duration is a full 90 minutes. Recorded narration in English along the ride. Spectacular views!!!

We had a great time! The boat is a little older so it’s hard to see out of the windows but other than that we enjoyed it!
Very informative tour, Wonderful tour to get a bay view of the city and bridges. Alcatraz history was interesting. Parking was readily available across the street, very helpful!

This was an excellent cruise around the bay!! We loved it. The recording was very informative & we learned more about Alcatraz & surrounding area too.
It was a great experience seeing downtown SF, The Rock and the surrounding Bay Area from the boat. Take a light jacket and depending on which time of year, rain gear if you’re sightseeing from the upper deck. Go check it out.
