I thought it just went straight to Muir Woods. But, he gave a very nice tour of the city. The price included the Golden Gate Bridge, which added more to my trip than expected. Through the whole drive he took us by amazing scenery and let us know where great photo ops were available. Muir Woods is so breathtaking, beautiful, peaceful, too many adjectives to describe. I took the small trail so I could just absorb everything in this magical place. We then went to Sausalito The No Name Bar was friendly.. Although it’s not included, I chose to take the ferry back for $14. The views from taking the bridge over are amazing, but it was really worth it to see the bay from a different view.
I definitely recommend this 1/2 day trip! It’s a great deal and well worth it!

A very pleasant trip. Our guide was excellent. He explained so much about the places we passed on the way there and back. He drove with great care and was absolutely charming. There was enough time to do the circular walk along the creek to bridge 4 in Muir Woods and have a coffee by the sea in Saucelito.

Grady, our driver & guide for our afternoon Muir Woods & Sausalito Tour has been giving these tours for a long while now. His extensive experience showed in the numerous stories of past actuailies he was able to put up beside how things are today. He seemed to know the questions that came to mind as we moved along and was answering them before I needed to ask! Anecdotes and facts were paired with confident driving and a friendly, affable and easy-going way. My husband & I truly enjoyed our half day on the paths of the magestic Muir Woods and the charming ambience of Sausalito in the early evening!

Viator advertised a tour that was not available. We booked a tour to Muir Woods. We found out the morning of the tour that Muir woods was actually closed due to the government shutdown. The tour company did a great job providing a different itinerary. Where my disappointment is with Viator, they sold a tour that they should have been aware was not available. They sold a tour that was not available and never bother to notify the customer. We were quite disappointed not getting to visit Muir Woods. Had we known it was not available me never would have booked the tour. This is shutdown has been in effect for many weeks, this cannot be the first time the tour was booked. Viator is suppose to be a nationwide company and should be on top of things like this and should not be offering the tour. This tour is still being offered on their website. It makes me hesitant about choosing Viator for other trips that we have planned.

Armstrong Woods was very impressive! We had booked Muir Woods but due to government cuts we could not go here but our tour company substituted it for Armstrong Woods.

I didn’t expect to get so many other sites to see on the way! Was so nice! It was a relaxing ride to Muir Woods and words can’t describe the beauty! Then going to the town of Salselada(sorry if I mispelled) was awesome. We stopped in to have a quick glass on wine and cheese board and then ended the trip taking the ferry back where we got a generous pour for wine!

We showed up a half hour early to the tour. The Big Bus company was disorganized, we were notified that the bus was going to be 15 min late after the scheduled 1:30 departure. The main guy was hustling and offered water to everyone while we waited. While he seemed to be trying after checking everyone in, he should have known that 6 people were not going to be able to get on the bus because they oversold the tour. Waiting another 20 min to not get on the bus. Unfortunately, we were part of the final 6 people. No real apologies offered, a huge waste of time, and still waiting on a refund over a day later… not impressed in the slightest.

The tour was misleading. When we booked the $140 tour it stated we would visit Muir Woods, 45 minute stop in Sausalito, hop on hop off sightseeing tour and 1 hour guided Chinatown Walking tour. We did not receive the Chinatown Walking tour and was told that was no longer offered. The reason for booking this tour was for the Muir Woods and Chinatown tour. The representative at Big Bus told us that was an old itinerary. Viator really needs to update their tours and not mislead people into thinking they are getting more bang for their bucks when they are really not. As a travel advisor, I would have been livid if I sold this trip to clients and they did not get the full experience of what was stated to be offered. Shame on you Viator for this misleading representation of a tour. It was not worth the $140 that was paid. Also, we only spent 25 minutes in Sausalito not the 45 minutes that was advertised.
Lester, however, was totally amazing and very knowledgeable. I feel like more time should have been spent in Muir Woods.

Tour guide was friendly but talked way too much. Ok with some facts about Muir Woods and perhaps light info about SF in general but it got over the top. A little quiet time is nice. Also the stop in Sausalito doesn’t provide benefit but adds to cost. Prefer 2 or even 2.5 hours at Muir Woods and just return directly.

The 1.5 hour walk through Muir Woods was nice. 45 minutes in Sausalito wasn’t really enough time for more than a quick walk and a quick bite to eat if you wanted. Some passengers took other modes of transportation back which was probably a better idea if you wanted to see more. Our driver, James, had a nice running commentary on the history of the area. This tour suited our needs as we were more interested in Muir Woods
