Our private tour to Sintra was truly unforgettable! Maya was an exceptional guide—professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent driver. She made us feel comfortable from the moment she picked us up at our Airbnb. We were contacted the day before with pickup details and helpful suggestions that were spot on. The vehicle was very comfortable, and the tour was perfectly organized and paced. Quinta da Regaleira took our breath away! The gardens, Initiation Well, and architecture were spectacular. Maya’s engaging explanations of the history and culture gave us a much deeper appreciation of everything we saw. Pena Palace was magnificent, and understanding the different architectural styles made the visit even more meaningful. We had time for shopping before a beautiful drive to Cascais for lunch at Monte Mar. The food was delicious, service was top-notch, and the Atlantic Ocean view was unforgettable! Thank you, Maya, for an amazing day. We hope to see you again on another tour!

(Sept 17) Our guide, Ival (?), was very efficient with our group and got us going very quickly to the first stop, Regaleira, then Palacio, which resulted in minimal wait time. He offered tips and gave us more historical information on the bus, which maximized the time we could spend at each attraction. In Cascais, he suggested the cash-only restaurant Jardim dos Frangos, which was delicious. So… the guide was excellent and funny, but the bus was just ok… my long legs could have used a little more legroom. Don’t forget to bring enough cash for the tip at the end. We ran out of money because of the cash-only restaurant!

Diogo was amazing! He communicated his arrival time as well as what he would be driving. The van was clean and well cared for. It was easy to connect and we were off. Diogo was knowledgeable throughout our tour, and was able to give us the history on everything on our itinerary. When asked questioned about things we saw, Diogo was able to answer all questions. We stopped for pastries, which were delicious. I would absolutely recommend doing this tour. We have some mobility issues, and Diogo moved at our pace and assisted when needed.
