Free pickup at the hotel or Airbnb in the centre of Lisbon, between 7am and 7pm55. Drop-off at two central points: Plaza Marqués de Pombal and Plaza dos Restauradores. You will receive a message the day before the tour (between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM) with the exact time of your pickup. You must be at the designated pickup place at the scheduled time. Otherwise, you may have to meet directly with the Guide in Sintra. For pickups in Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa or other areas where vehicles are not allowed, we will provide a nearby meeting point. This is a shared tour, so the Guide can arrive 5 - 10 minutes before or after the scheduled time. Don’t worry, your Guide will arrive soon! Additional information about DROP-OFF : The drop-off will take place at two central locations in Lisbon: Plaza Marquês de Pombal and Plaza dos Restauradores. Both locations are well served by all kinds of transportation: Metro, Taxi, Uber and Bus. Tell the Guide which drop-off you prefer. This way you will avoid heavy traffic at the end of the day, and arrive at your hotel or apartment earlier! You will also have more time to enjoy the beautiful city of Lisbon, with its nightlife, shops and restaurants.

Patrick was a wonderful guide. His driving of the van was expertly done in some tight areas. He helped provide aide to my son after he fell on the walk down a steep trail. He tried to make the walk up and down the hills easier. I would have liked an alternative location to have lunch, as our family doesn’t drink alcohol and has various allergies and different tastes. You are really locked into the 27.50 euro lunch. Great tour overall.

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide Joaquin was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole trip very fun. He had so much to tell us, even between stops about what we were seeing along the way and about Portugal history in general. Overall, this tour was well planned - we arrived earlier than most other tourists, avoiding traffic and lines. Our tour guide gave us a ton of information and also made sure we had little stops along the way for photos and snacks/ coffee. Would highly recommend! The optional provided lunch was really great - the restaurant was authentic and the food was absolutely delicious. Our guide helped to make food recommendations too - which was nice. We ended up trying fish dishes we wouldn’t have otherwise known were local specialties.

This tour was all day and worth every minute. We loved our tour guide Joza (sorry for misspelling), he was very informative, friendly and made the experience very fun! We had some one-of-a-kind experiences (forgetting to pay a breakfast bill, we thought Joza paid it, all good as we all paid and had a great laugh!). The random people in our tour group were fun to be with as we explored Sintra and surrounding areas. Wonderful time and highly recommend.

Well worth the 10 hours; castles, beach/port, Western point all fantastic. Timing and spacing of each sight was perfect. A fascinating day, would consider doing again. Already recommended to family. Viator was honest and accurate on what we would see and extra costs.
Our guide Davide Francisco was great. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. Didn't talk the whole time. We recommend him if you can get him.

We had an amazing day learning about the history of Lisboa and Portugal. We visited iconic locations like Sintra and Pena Palace. We toured Reglaria castle grounds and visited Cabo de Roca the most northwestern point in Portugal before hitting the Atlantic Ocean. The beautiful coastal town of Cascais was magical. Our tour guide Juaqium was wonderful and kind and very knowledgeable. He absolutely made the day so special for us.

I highly recommend this tour….in order to grasp the meaning of the symbolism in all the statutes and artifacts, you should have a qualified tour person ( they are invaluable)…..There is quite a bit of Walking So be prepared …Joaquin was phenomenal

Hugo from SPR Tours led our small group around these picture-worthy and interesting locations - Sintra, Regaleira, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. He was very gracious and personable, spoke English fluently, and related interesting stories about where we were and its importance in Portuguese and world history without overwhelming us with data. He provided just the right amount of information.
Hugo gladly answered questions, gave us sufficient free time for exploring a bit, gave us tips on local pastries to eat, and had pre-arranged for tickets to Regaleira so we didn't have to stand in a long line to buy them there. Hugo recommended a place for lunch were we had a delicious meal (not your typical tourist fare, but a place at which he said he loved to eat). All in all a great value and we would highly recommend SPR Tours and Hugo to anyone visiting looking for way to see these must-see places.
Be aware there will be some walking up relatively steep grades and over cobblestones. If you're in reasonable shape you should be fine, but wear appropriate shoes. For those who fear they should not go, there is an option for getting a ride up to the top for Pena Palace. But this is a walking tour nonetheless.
In summary, all of us taking the tour felt it was a wonderful experience and would do it again. Great guide, accommodating tour company, thoughtful tour plan.

This 10+ hour tour was the highlight of our visit to Lisbon! Our guide, Luis, was polite, knowledgeable, and provided detailed insights at every stop along the way. His depth of knowledge and engaging explanations made the entire experience both enjoyable and memorable.
He also took us to an excellent local restaurant for lunch, which was a great touch. Despite covering multiple sites, the tour was very well paced, and he managed everything seamlessly without leaving us feeling exhausted.
Luis went above and beyond by taking plenty of both group and individual photos throughout the day. By the end of the tour, he shared nearly 70 pictures with me, along with additional recommendations for things to do and great restaurants to try.
My wife and I were joined by four other couples, and it was wonderful getting to know everyone, exchanging numbers, and even making new friends along the way.
I would highly recommend this tour—and if you’re lucky enough to have Luis as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic experience.

Great tour of Sintra and other areas. The Pena palace and gardens are well worth seeing and our tour guide - Tiago - was very knowledgeable on the history of the palace and the area. He was the very best guide we could have asked for! I can’t stress this enough - if you want to see the Pena place & gardens - take this tour!!! You will
NOT have to wait in the very long lines to get in and you will get very good information about the history of the place and gardens. The lunch was fantastic! One of the best meals we had while in Lisbon! The other 2 stops we made were well worth it and both beautiful! Don’t hesitate a book your tour to sintra - you will not regret it!

Miguel is a fantastic guide and is very accommodating. There is great Portuguese history and art to learn about. You will with have fresh food delicious food for lunch. A priority of this trip is not to waste time in lines. You should know you will be dropped off at central location.

Luis was awesome and very entertaining with his stories. There is no way we would have been able to see as much as we did, if we had gone on our own. He had a way to always get our group ahead of others, and kept us moving. We learned so much. And the lunch??? Absolutely delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Well worth the money.

This was one of the highlights of our trip, for sure. Luis was knowledgeable, funny, and warm. He went above and beyond for our group. We saw so much and learned about the history of all of the beautiful stops along the way. We loved it so much, I would almost do the exact same trip when we return to Lisbon. If you do one out of town experience, make it this one. And ask for Luis!

Tiago was our guide and he did a great job! Packed day with trips to Sintra, Pena Palace, local lunch and then the seaside town of Caiscais. Lunch was delicious! Would recommend being in decent shape if you’re doing this tour, as you will need to walk a moderate amount including stairs. Would definitely recommend doing this trip with Tiago!
