One of the best tours you can take! Our guide, Tiago, was one of the best we had in Portugal! This tour shows you everything you need to see when visiting Sintra. The stunning views, the interesting palaces, and the main event, Pena Palace, are stunning, and you can enjoy them without waiting in line to get inside. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting Portugal!

First of all, the tour guide makes the experience. Joaquin hit a home run by being extremely well informed, good natured, patience, accommodating, knew the best photos, and willingly took pictures. It was a long, "wonder" full day. In Sintra we had the best pastery and cappuccino. The Regaleira was a mystical experience. Pena Castle was a work of art. If I could give Joaquim 10 stars, I would.

Tour guide Patrick was excellent and showed his passion for sharing the history and culture of Portugal. He was very respectful and ensured everyone’s comfort and safety and also made sure the kids were enjoying themselves. He was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. The tour is a bit long so I don’t recommend partying hard the night before. Do yourself a favor and get some rest so you can enjoy this excellent tour. Lunch was a nice meal at a charming restaurant with flowing wine. There were many stops for restroom breaks. All the sites were amazing. The tour ended with a genuine Portuguese hug which showed the kind person he is with a big heart. Thank you Patrick, your service is phenomenal!!

Had the best experience. Our guide, Davide, was seriously the best!!!! He was knowledgeable and witty. Made my friend and I, and the family we toured with, all very comfortable. 10/10. Would definitely recommend booking this tour!! Loved every stop we made.

The guide was historian and very smart, also local who knew area, and a great guide

This experience gives you a good broad brush of all these areas. It is a full day of activities and learning. I would definitely recommend it.

Family trip.

All was good, the driver was excellent. We all enjoyed this trip. My only issue is the hidden cost as in the beginning it was $500 + to start but after my total was just over $600 + and also had to pay $86 EU cash for one set of tickets so not very happy about this. I have book a lot of trips with is company and never had this issue before. So if you plan to do this excursion beware of all the extra money.

This was a great tour!...

This was a great tour! Our guide Bernardo was great and very informative. We were very lucky and there was only 4 of us on the tour. Sinta, Pena Palace, Regaliera, Cabo da Roca, & Cascais were all amazing! This was a great tour to get to see lots of the must-see places in southern portugal. We feel we had enough time in each of the places to explore and see what we needed to see. The tour was well-organized and it did not feel like a long day. The restaurant that we went to was great! The food was delicious and there was plenty of wine. Overall ,a fantastic tour and we would highly recommend!

Highly recommend!

Jessica_D, Aug 2026
Tiago was an excellent and friendly guide who gave so much insight into the history of Sintra. Patricia, who handled the organizing was responsive and communicated details seamlessly. The whole experience was amazing and completely stress free. Thank you so much!

Guided Tour to Sintra, Pena, Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Cascais

Shanni_K, Aug 2026
Our Tour to Sintra, Pena, Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Cascais was so much fun with Martinho! He was very knowledgeable and translated in English and Spanish for the eight of us on our tour. As we drive to our locations, he shared insight in what we were passing and the history. He answered all questions easily and was very informative. When we arrived in Sintra we had time to look around and he made great suggestions for pastries. We’re so glad that we took this tour and highly recommend it. Regaleira was interesting and the history was unique and Martinho’s knowledge was insightful. He took photos of us when asked, which captured some great memories for us. Cascais was perfect for lunch…as the usual spot they dine at was closed today, we loved the seaside atmosphere of Cascais. Santorini’s gelato was absolutely amazing! We had lunch at La Contessa and I especially loved the chicken and mango. The view from Cabo da Roca were breathtaking, but it may be challenging as the path has rocks everywhere. Found some really great tiles, cork postcards from their gift shop. We saw so much in one day and definitely recommend this tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes as there is a bit of walking throughout the day.

Lovely tour with great stops!

Our guide Bernardo was very knowledgeable and a very nice person and made our day super fun. He answered all our questions with a smile and never seemed annoyed. He was also a very good and safe driver. Just know this is a very long day with a lot of walking so make sure to wear good shoes. The climate can vary during the day so layer up. Bernardo also made sure we had plenty of bathroom breaks. We had lunch on the tour and it was amazing. We appreciated that we could choose from many options; meat, fish and vegan. The lunch included appetizers, wine, water, soft drinks, and dessert. Great value for the price. We really enjoyed it.

Excellent tour you won’t be disappointed.

JeanPierre_S, Jul 2026
Our guide Tiago is very knowledgeable of the sites and their history. He takes time to explain everything in details and answers visitor questions. For lunch he brings us to a traditional Portuguese restaurant where everyone culinary tastes will be met. The lunch also includes wine and dessert.

Great experience!

CARLA_B, Jul 2026
We had Hugo Martinho as our private tour guide. He was amazing, offered great eating recommendations. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable with the history of the different locations and he even offered to take us and dropped off at our hotel. We highly recommend this tour and specially Hugo Martinho!

The only way to see Sintra

Julie_P, Jul 2026
This was the best way to see the highlight points of Sintra and Cascais. Davide was a fabulous tour guide with great knowledge and fun stories. Not having to walk the majority of the hills and sort out train schedules and Ubers was very helpful. The lunch at a local restaurant offering authentic fresh Portuguese fair was delicious. Our group of 4, 2 couples in their mid 50’s and moderately fit had the best day. We got to see so much. Thank you again to Davide for a great experience.

Full day trip to Sintra...

Lindsay_G, Jul 2026
Full day trip to Sintra and Cascais was awesome! Beautiful stops in Sintra full of history and gorgeous views, relaxing yummy traditional lunch, and then great stops in the afternoon in Cabo da Roca and Cascais. Bernardo was an excellent guide - full of all the Portuguese history and could answer all of our many questions! He made the day great, fun, and far more relaxing via private tour.

Outstanding

A very good day trip, although it was a small group tour, the itinerary was very well arranged. Lunch was arranged at a traditional Portuguese restaurant with a very rich selection of food and drinks.

Sintra

Miguel was an exceptional guide who made everyone feel comfortable from the beginning of the tour. He was very personable, humorous, and friendly. For lunch, he took our group to a local restaurant and guided us on what to order based on our likes. He did an amazing job at explaining the historical sites and you can tell that he is passionate about what he does. By the end of the tour, the entire group was socializing and laughing together, which made a huge difference on the trip. Miguel also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and traditional Portuguese dishes. He went above and beyond to ensure we all had a great time.

A Guide can make the difference!!

Great tour and Luis was so great! He was fun and made the tour so special and fun!! I would definitely recommend the optional lunch, it was a nice break during the day and you got a lot of great food and drinks for the price. Just make sure to bring 50 Euros for food/drinks and the tickets.

Spectacular Sintra tour with Joaquim

Erin_M, Jul 2026
Our tour of Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal, and Joaquim made it truly unforgettable. He brought an incredible depth of knowledge, passion and humor to every part of the experience. His insights into the area’s rich history and culture made our excursion come alive in a way that we never could have experienced on our own. Sintra itself is absolutely stunning—full of beautiful architecture, charming streets, and fascinating history. Joaquim went above and beyond to make the tour special, taking the time to answer questions, share local perspectives, and ensure we had a memorable experience. He also took our small group to a wonderful restaurant for a delicious lunch! We finished our day with a much deeper appreciation for this remarkable area and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portugal. If you have the opportunity to tour Sintra with Joaquim, don't hesitate—you'll be in excellent hands!
