Free pickup at the hotel or Airbnb in the centre of Lisbon, between 7am and 7pm55. Drop-off at two central points: Plaza Marqués de Pombal and Plaza dos Restauradores. You will receive a message the day before the tour (between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM) with the exact time of your pickup. You must be at the designated pickup place at the scheduled time. Otherwise, you may have to meet directly with the Guide in Sintra. For pickups in Alfama, Bairro Alto, Baixa or other areas where vehicles are not allowed, we will provide a nearby meeting point. This is a shared tour, so the Guide can arrive 5 - 10 minutes before or after the scheduled time. Don’t worry, your Guide will arrive soon! Additional information about DROP-OFF : The drop-off will take place at two central locations in Lisbon: Plaza Marquês de Pombal and Plaza dos Restauradores. Both locations are well served by all kinds of transportation: Metro, Taxi, Uber and Bus. Tell the Guide which drop-off you prefer. This way you will avoid heavy traffic at the end of the day, and arrive at your hotel or apartment earlier! You will also have more time to enjoy the beautiful city of Lisbon, with its nightlife, shops and restaurants.

Tour dragged in the beginning. Tour guide quite ego driven with keeping saying he was the best and the Portuguese were the best. Even made a remark that was not nice about someone fr Spain. When called on it he said he was kidding and kept apologizing. Overall it was a decent day and he did try and make it up but again took pictures and said only would get if we were good and behaved meaning evident the review. Perhaps if different guide would not have been so bothered

Our guide was very poor. He was late picking everyone up. We were only told the details of the pick up and time the evening before. He gave us no or very little information about the places we visited even though he said he did the same tour 4-5 times a week.. He repeatedly touched me on my arm shoulder and back without asking and despite me moving away when I saw him near me and flinching. In the end I told him not to. We were only told about the only place for lunch the night before so couldn’t take our own and there was nowhere else to go. It was very expensive and average quality with no Portuguese vegetarian food as I’d been told. Our guide disappeared during lunch and didn’t make sure that we were served efficiently or fully. There was no coffee. It took a long time meaning the rest of the tour felt rushed. The places we visited were lovely and we enjoyed them. I guess we were just unlucky with our guide.

This daylong trip exceeded our expectations. Luis was an excellent knowledgeable guide. We learned so much about this fascinating part of Portugal and its history. It’s very active with walking and hills but well worth it. Restaurant stop was great too. Thanks, Luis, for a wonderful day!

Joakim was phenomenal. The tour was so well-paced. We never stood in one spot for 5+ minutes listening to a spiel, which is my biggest pet peeve on walking tours. He was hilarious, informative, and friends with all the vendors so we were able to see the most of Sintra! He also knew all the best photo spots. 11/10

Our driver/guide Joaquim Pedro was tremendous. He was quite friendly and knowledgeable. But the tour was rather long and involved quite a bit of walking uphill…. more than we expected. The group was very amenable and also friendly.
We learned a lot about all the areas we visited. The Portuguese lunch was the best.
One area of improvement would be to have minimal or no conversation in another language other than in English. One couple spoke Portuguese too and initiated a conversation with our guide.

First of all, the tour guide makes the experience. Joaquin hit a home run by being extremely well informed, good natured, patience, accommodating, knew the best photos, and willingly took pictures.
It was a long, "wonder" full day. In Sintra we had the best pastery and cappuccino. The Regaleira was a mystical experience. Pena Castle was a work of art.
If I could give Joaquim 10 stars, I would.

That was a very interesting trip. Driver and tour guide was in contact with us for pick up time and place. Hugo is very knowledgeable and a very good driver. We enjoyed every minute of it. Would totally recommend it.

Our tour guide, Joao, was great. Safe driver, considerate, pleasant, knowledgeable. He paced our tour well. The van was cosy, with 8 people squeezed in to a space better suited for 6. But this seems to be how it is done here and likely how many tour vans are designed.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide Andre was amazing. He knew so much history about Portugal and took is all around the Quinta de Regaleira and Pena Palace. The Regaleira was the highlight of the trip for me. The lunch option was amazing so I recommend adding that to the day.

We had a wonderful tour, and it far exceeded our expectations. Patrik was friendly and warm, extremely knowledgeable about the area, and eager to answer any questions we had. He got us to Sintra in time for breakfast and coffee, and we were still one of the first to the Quinta da Regaleira (which has been our favorite part of our tour so far!) He handled anything that came up to make sure we all had a relaxing day and we didn’t have to worry about hurrying or where to be when. Lunch was also a fantastic experience. We had a great time traveling on this adventure. Sintra and Pena were wonderful to visit. We traveled through Cascais but did not experience much of the town. Cabo Da Roca was very windy and cold so it was a matter of jumping out to say we did it.

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. The small group made it easy to get around but we had plenty of free time in most places as well. The recommended restaurants were all great. The standout place for me was the Quinta de Regaleira, which had lush forest, beautiful trees and it felt like there was always an amazing site to see. Cascais had chill, fun beach town vibes. Our driver Martinho was great, and I really appreciated the history we got at each spot during the tour.

This tour was amazing. Lots of deep dives into the castles and how they were constructed. But it is a definitely a very long day with tours of the beach towns on the way back to Lisbon. Some may prefer a shorter day.
