How To Access: After booking, you’ll get an email and text with setup instructions and password (search “audio tour” in emails and texts). • Download the separate tour app by Action • Enter the password sent by email and text. • MUST download the tour while in strong wifi/cellular. • Works offline after download.
How to start touring: Open Action’s separate audio tour guide app once onsite. • If there is just one tour, launch it. • If multiple tour versions exist, launch the one with your planned starting point and direction.
Go to the starting point No one will meet you at the start. This tour is self-guided Enter the first story’s point and the audio will begin automatically Follow the audio cues to the next story, which will also play automatically. Enjoy hands-free exploring. If you face audio issues, contact support. Stick to the tour route & speed limit for the best experience.

Important Note: Road closure updates and entrance fees are available on the NPS website. Reservations are required for all vehicles and shuttle riders visiting Muir Woods, and since there is no cell reception or public WiFi at the park, all reservations must be made before arrival.

We downloaded the app and we were able to connect to the tour while driving to Muir Woods. Once inside the park, we were not able to reconnect.

Lois, thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m sorry the connection inside the park caused trouble. Muir Woods can have very limited cell service once you’re inside the forest, which is why the tour is designed to be fully downloaded beforehand so it can run offline without needing a signal. It sounds like you were able to connect while driving there, which is great, but I’d love to understand what happened once you entered the park? I would like to know more, my team is available daily from 9 AM to 6 PM EST.

I purchased 2 tours because it said in the description that it was only for 4 people and I had 5, there was no need to do that because you are only purchasing the audio tour, I even asked if it was needed and was told to purchase 2 tours. It isn’t clearly advertised what you are getting and tickets to enter the park along with parking are not included, only the audio tour which CANNOT be used inside the park because it is illegal account to the park employees

The tour is an audio guide only, and it does not include park entry tickets or parking reservations—those are managed directly by Muir Woods and are mentioned in the listing so visitors can arrange them separately. Also, the tour is typically purchased per vehicle or group listening together, not necessarily per person, so I’m concerned to hear that you felt you needed to buy two. Regarding the audio inside the park, the tour is designed to work as you walk the trails with GPS-triggered narration, so I’d really like to understand what the park employees mentioned about it being illegal. Could you share a bit more about that conversation? Also, were you able to download and start the tour once you arrived, or was there a technical issue with the app as well? Also, when you say the route given by park staff made it hard to identify the redwoods, were you following their detour instead of the app’s suggested starting point? Make sure u make reservations for parking they should make it mandatory when u purchase tickets. 1st there is no reception when u get up there, 2nd its not an easy road to drive. We never visit the park cause we couldn't get reception to purchase parking ticket waste of our day.

My product description already mentioned that entrance tickets and parking reservations need to be booked in advance. I also include this information in multiple places in the tour to ensure travelers don’t miss it or face interruptions. I recommend downloading and setting up the tour beforehand since some areas, like Muir Woods, have limited or no service. I see the tour password wasn’t redeemed, which means you were trying to download the tour at the park. The tour is valid for a year, so you can retry anytime. If you’ve left the location, I can provide a replacement tour or process a refund. I’m available daily from 9 to 6 EST to help.
