Very cool experience and our guide was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone who couldn’t get direct tickets to the underground and wants to have this unique experience. We ended up getting to spend a decent amount of time down there too, which I understand doesn’t always happen.

I have always been reluctant to take a guided tour anywhere. I always preferred to go at my own pace. I’m so glad I changed my mind and took this tour. It has been the absolute highlight of my trip to Rome. Alex was awesome and my experience of the Colosseum was that much richer because I joined his tour. I highly recommend this tour.

It was a great experience! A must do for the colosseum. The underground tour portion was the most interesting part of the entire tour. I recommend this company. They were prompt and were in constant contact with you up to the day of the event.

The Colosseum is an amazing place to visit - but the crowds can feel overwhelming so I am really glad we had a tour guide! I had thought I had signed up for the underground tour but in fact had signed up for the arena tour. Our tour guide was terrific and we enjoyed the visit to the colosseum -

We loved our small‑group Colosseum Arena and Underground tour. With only six of us, it felt intimate and immersive. Our guide, Eni, was exceptional—deeply knowledgeable, engaging, and able to bring the Colosseum’s history to life. His English was great and spent over 2.5 hours with us making every moment fascinating. This is a small family business, and the personal touch showed from the start. It says that they offer the arena or underground or both but only gives one option. Itinerary shows that it has both of them though so there is no clear indication which one you will be doing. The lady did nothing to make it right

If you are thinking about visiting the Colosseum, absolutely book this tour. Eni is a well-informed, entertaining, and generous guide. He helped us navigate (which would have been really complicated) through all levels of the Colosseum and explained exactly what we were seeing at every stop. Clearly, Roman history is a passion for him as well as a job. Not only was the Colosseum tour great, but Eni took us around to a non-crowded entrance to the Forum and made sure we had an interactive map and our tickets to get into every part of the Forum and Palatine areas. If he hadn't had another tour, I think he would have been willing to just keep going and telling us more and more! Another plus was that we were a really small group -- just six of us with Eni. We really enjoyed Eni, and the tour went too fast.

Highly recommend you book this tour! We took many wonderful guided tours during our trip to Italy and Endrin was by far our favorite guide. They seamlessly coordinated tickets for the Colosseum Underground, which are incredibly difficult to obtain. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and was able to cover a lot of ground in a small amount of time. They were also able to accommodate a tour of the Roman forum and Palatine Hill as well. We really appreciated how he made Roman history accessible. Will definitely be booking more tours with them when we return to Rome!

Visited the Colosseum in Rome today. It was pouring rain and we weren't able to see the underground portion of the amphitheater. However Eni did a fabulous job at giving the history and explanations of everything. While it was wet and cold we were still able to enjoy the awe of the site. Eni made what could have been a bust of visit into an enjoyable experience and we left feeling as though we had a great and memorable visit. Highly recommend him as a tour guide.

This was a very informative tour about the Colosseum. I went on a Colosseum tour 2 years ago and this one was so much better and I learned much more than I did before.
Our tour guide was very engaging and informative. He took us to great photo spots and would take our photos if we ask. He did an awesome panoramic photo of us that we will always cherish.
Between all of the Colosseum tours offered, make sure to do an underground one. You won't regret it!

We had such a fantastic experience with Eni on this tour, highly recommend, especially if you have older kids/young teenagers….. our two boys were enthralled! Eni brought to life how it was to be a Gladiator and what it might have been like to fight in the Colosseo. We also got to hear about the background to the construction of the Colosseum, what was there before it was built, how it was built and what happened after all the Gladiators had left town. Fascinating stuff!

first - it was a small group - not a bus load. Second our guide Eni indicated he had to study several years to get this position and he catered to each person's interests. Third - there was NEVER a feeling of being rushed. Our tour included the first and second floors, the arena and the underground. The information at each stop transported you back in time to that day. We were supplied with transmitters - even one type for people with aids so that in the crowd we could clearly hear was was being said. At the Arena we were given lots of extra time and Eni offered to get pictures of people together. At the end of the tour he took us over to the Forum and as a group we were able to bypass the long security line even though his part of the tour was complete. My partner is deaf and Eni took time to let me sign some of the important things he pointed out to the group and at the end asked me how to sign thank you" so he could do it for him. I have taken a lot of tours in my time and this one was clearly one of the best. Yes - we tried originally to just get admission tickets through the coliseum on our own but even 30 days in advance they quickly sold out even in Janaury. This was a back up and it was definitely more expensive but I could not have been happier at what got got for the cost. You will be very lucky to get Eni as your guide. He was super!!

One of our absolute favorite experiences in Rome! With a tour group size of 6, it truly felt like a private tour. Eni is very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. He also did a great job taking pictures of our family in the colosseum. He pointed out so many details that we would have missed otherwise, and truly just made it an unforgettable experience. We had our hearts set on doing the Underground Tour & this is the way to do it - we actually tried to get Underground tickets directly through the Colosseum after we had booked this tour, and it is impossible. Save yourself the headache & just book Eni’s tour! We also loved knowing we were supporting a local business, rather than a large tourist titan.
We got a little spooked when we read some reviews that tours had been cancelled, but we reached out to the Roman Guides on Instagram once we were within the 30 days for them to buy the tickets through the Colosseum, and they were able to confirm we were good to go with our tickets.
One other tip: do the morning tour, pack a lunch (or a lot of snacks), and take Eni up on his offer to get you through the tour guide line at the Roman Forum. We didn’t because we needed to eat lunch, and we ended up waiting a long time in the regular line to enter.
Overall, this tour one was of the highlights of our trip, and we can’t recommend it enough!

I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions we had, and gave us so much information. While waiting for the remainder of our group to arrive, he bought us Italian coffee. He also helped us gain quick access to the forum, bypassing a long line. Such a fun experience. We will definitely book with them in the future!

It’s very crowded, so having a small group (6), personal headsets and a great tour guide made this a fantastic tour. Our guide not only explained what we were seeing but used pictures and e-media to help us visualize what the coliseum once was, the role it played for so many years and the life of the gladiator. Passing through the underground archways (so many arches) our guide helped us to understand the many features of the arena: the water system to flood the coliseum, along with the elevators and trap doors to move gladiators and animals from the underground to the arena floor.
You should definitely take this same tour!!

This was an incredible tour! From start to finish, our guides were phenomenal. Very kind and accommodating, allowing us to pick the easiest access for my grandma who has a mobility scooter. We each had a headset to hear our guide, and even before we entered the colosseum he answered questions and explained the area around it, pointing to other historical locations and showing us pictures and diagrams both that he had with him and on his phone. Once inside he was very knowledgeable about the colosseum, and we were blown away with how cool the tour was with his explanations for each part of the colosseum. He was accommodating, asking others not with our group to step aside politely so we could see certain parts of the arena and displays.
Our tour was initially supposed to include the underground but there was a last minute notification that we would not be able to have access to the underground part. To make up for this, the guides were able to let us go to the second level of the colosseum, and included palatine hill and the Roman forum which would not have been included in the underground part of the tour.
We were not able to do the palatine hill and Roman forum part of the tour as we had another tour booked that we needed to make it to, and this tour ended up being longer with those two attractions, but the guide was apologetic and kind about us leaving and assured us of how to go to for the best exit.
Unfortunately, we were not able to use the exit he suggested. We weren’t given our tickets for the tour and when we tried to leave for that exit, they would not let us without us showing them our tickets. We had to go all the way back to the front for an exit, but that was no fault of the tour company!
Our guide and his wife run the tour and they could not have been any more wonderful with the tour. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone and will use them again when I come back to Rome! Thank you so much for a wonderful tour!

Eni was the BEST guide for our Colosseum tour! We had 7 people in our group, and it really felt like a private viewing of all the unique and underground spaces here. Eni kept us interested and answered all our questions. I can tell he's passionate about Roman history, and is very, very knowledgeable!
