The access to the high-speed train and the person waiting for us to make sure we got on the right train was great. When we arrived, we were met by another travel concierge who resides in Florence. We were a very small group so it made a lot of sense to go at a slower pace. There were just four of us. There was a lot of information that was given, and sometimes it was just overwhelming and then it began to rain and we spent a half an hour to 40 minutes inside of a building waiting for it to stop. And of course, we were on a time schedule to get to the wine tasting. Florence is much different than Rome and much cleaner. We crossed over the bridge and met by a driver and about an hour and a half later, we arrived at this lovely winery where we tasted a lot of wine. The person in charge had been from the US and he was very outgoing and fun. We had a late lunch, including pasta got back on the van. We walked to the station, caught the train back another hour and a half, and it was dark when we got to termini station . It was a very long day the best part of the day was sitting down and tasting different wines and having something to eat.
This tour was such a beautiful experience. The country side is just breathtaking. Our tour guide Jessica was so knowledgeable and sweet which made the experience that much better. The lunch and wine was great as well. I would definitely recommend this experience. You won't be sorry.
Amazing experience. This tour will be unforgettable for our family. It was extremely well organized and our guide Sarah was knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this tour!
Amazing overall experience. The day was excellent from start to finish with attentive staff and tour guides. We had used the high-speed rail earlier in our trip so we were familiar with the boarding and car layouts, but this was a fun way to get to our location with ease. Our tour guide Jessica was extremely attentive and highlighted the history and art of Florence to frame the day. There was adequate time for individual exploration, but probably not enough time if you wanted to do a full museum tour in Florence. Consider it a rapid tasting menu!
The trip to the Tuscan countryside complete with a fantastic, tailored meal and tour of the winery was unbelievable. It did not feel like real life. We were fortunate to have excellent guests for our excursion.
San Gimignano was very quaint. Despite not having this on my Italy bucket list, it was well worth it.
Transfers were efficient in clean air-conditioned luxury Mercedes vans. Would highly recommend as you cannot really appreciate the scope and scale of Tuscany without going.
Walking the city of Florence was a great introduction. The tour of the winery, Fatoria di Fugnano, San Gimignano, was informative and included a delicious 3 course meal while enjoying tasting many wines. We were also given an hour to explore the city and it’s shops on our own.
This was an amazing experience with an excellent and informative guide. Jessica was absolutely friendly and knowledgeable on all Florence related topics and the history...the tour was both interesting and informative. And the Tuscan wine tasting experience was an absolute delight! Shout out to Ameen at the wine estate...whose company we thoroughly enjoyed. Got to mention the cute cats and adorable dog Mikey 😺🫶 verey impressed. Will definitely do this tour again in next trip to Florence!🥰🥰🥰
Jessica and her driver were wonderful. The vineyard was amazing. Jessica was very knowledgeable. This a must do tour. We had a great time.
Awesome trip! Gives you a taste of everything Florence has to offer, but only enough to let you decide what really appeals to you, so you can spend more time at those places on future trips.
The tour guide, Jessica, was outstanding. She truly had a love and admiration of Florence!
This tour was fabulous, largely thanks to our guide Sara, who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and shared it in a way that really enriched the experience. The wine tasting was excellent, and the host family’s passion for their wine came through clearly in everything they explained. A special shout-out to Mike, the four-legged member of the team who added extra charm to the visit. I highly recommend this tour—you won’t be disappointed!
This was our first trip to Italy - the winery was great with picturesque views, the tours of Florence and San Gimignano were lovely and the highlight of the tour was our guide Antonio. He was extremely knowledgable and answered all our questions. It was the perfect trip and we would highly recommend!
Sarah was great, very comfortable and fun. Easy to find all the meeting places. Not a wine guy and the tasting was really fun.
Our guide Antonio was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and personable. Easy meet and greet in Rome and Florence with the train being the best way to go on a one day excursion. We had a rainy day but it didn’t dampen our spirits and ended with a clear sky overlooking the beautiful Tuscany landscape and the “Worlds Best” Gelato!. Wish there had been time to go inside the church in Florence.
Wonderful, out of the movies experience. Antonio was an amazing guide. The landscape and the history!
Today was amazing! We were met at the train station by a rep from Italia iShe walked us right to the platform and gave us specific instructions. When we arrived in Florence, Antonio was waiting for us for our walking tour. He was fantastic! He was full of knowledge and friendly! We later took two vans with him to the winery., What a fabulous experience! Andrea gave us a tour of his beautiful winery! Breathtaking views! We ate delicious cheeses, balsamic, pasta, gelato, and fantastic wine! Highly recommend this tour!! We had the best day!
Definitely worth the trip Sara was great during the whole tour. The wind was awesome and the lunch was great.
Well organized with travel being easy. Tour of Florence was great but had a rainy day. Wine tasting was great and visit to village was great. Guide was very knowledgeable and presented alot of information.
Embark on a transformative day tour from Rome to Florence, Tuscany, and discover the region's rich flavors through wine tasting and lunch. As the day unfolds, find inspiration in the charming town of San Gimignano, with its medieval walled city and iconic towers, and bask in the breathtaking views of the winery, feeling invigorated and awestruck.
This excursion was a wonderful experience. The tour through Florence was very informative. The drive through the countryside and wine tasting/lunch exceeded our expectations. And visiting a medieval town was a highlight. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. This excursion gave us the perfect day.
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. The wine tasting tour and lunch was so much fun meeting other travelers and sharing a meal. Enjoyed shopping afterwards in Sangimigano . Only downfall was our train being delayed out of Rome so didn’t get any free time on our own in Florence but that was of no fault of the tour company. Public transportation is not always reliable. .
Antonio wax a wonderful guide. Trip to winery was one of our best experiences ever. Wine tasted wonderful. Excellent hosts as well.
Good way to experience a lot of Tuscany if you're short on time. Guide Antonio was great. Highly recommended.
This tour was the highlight of our trip! We enjoyed going into Florence and seeing the history and art. Our guide Antonio was amazing! He has a background in art history and it really added to our experience. We loved our wine tasting and lunch at the winery. The Fugnano family was welcoming, and our host there, which was one of the wine makers, made us feel like family. The wine and food were delicious and the views were breathtaking. Our visit to San Gimignano was lovely. The historical buildings were amazing. We enjoyed the beautiful views while snacking on a delicious gelato. Logistically this trip went off without a hitch, there were guides to help us at both train stations. This trip is worth booking!
It’s hard to put into words how wonderful this was. Antonio, our guide, was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. The walking tour of Florence was great, but the tour of the Fugnano winery in San Gimignano was incredible. The wines were wonderful, but the view, surroundings and hospitality of the winemaker and winery owner was so much more.
Absolutely worth doing. It’s an efficient and amazing way to get to see the Tuscan side of Italy from Rome
AMAZING! A must do if you only get 1 day to explore both Florence and Tuscany. Sara, our guide, was like a best friend. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. The vineyard was breathtaking and the pasta we had for lunch with the wine was the best we’ve had yet. Grazie!!
Had a great time on this tour. The tour guide Sarah was very knowledgeable about the history of Tuscany and Florence. We started off with exploring Florence then went to a winery for lunch. The winery was beautiful, the food and wine were all so good. The day ended with a stop at San Gimignano where there where many wonderful leather goods shops and things you can buy for your home.
This was such an incredible day. Everything was so beautifully organized and staggered. The perfect amount of history and free tome in Florence, as well as time in San Gimignano. The absolute highlight of the day was the winery tour, tasting and lunch. We had a small group (just 5 of us) and it was intimate and Amin at the winery was fabulous and engaging. Our guide Jessica was absolutely incredible from the moment we got off the train to the minute she put us back on. I felt cared for and in great hands. This was my favorite experience of the very full two weeks we spent in Europe. I highly recommend!!!
What a great trip from Rome to Florence to Fugnano winery and then San Gimangino! We were fortunate to have only six people on the tour which made the experience very enjoyable. Our tour guide Sara was so knowledgeable and our driver Fausto provided us with a very welcomed break from the heat in our air conditioned luxury van. Winery owner Laura Dell’Aria was so gracious and welcomed us to her gorgeous winery where we were served a delicious lunch. Each of the seven wines served during our tasting were well explained by Lorenzo and no one left a drop in their glass!
The train to Florence was great and there we met our guide Antonio. He showed us around Florence for a bit and gave is some free time. We walked across the Ponte Vecchio and then boarded our van to the winery. The winery was awesome and a really great experience. Then we stopped at San Gimignano for free time, shopping, and really great gelato. Our driver took us back to the train and Antonio made sure we all got on the train safely and in time to return to Rome. This was one of our favorite days in Italy.
Antonio did a great job!!!! He is knowledgeable , personable and passionate on sharing his love for Florence and Tuscany. Team did a great job of ensuring the train process was as painless as possible. I would recommend this trip…
