- All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Chinese speaking-instructors without enough advance notice.
- Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact Ohana Surf Project.

You have to be in reasonably good shape to really enjoy this. It’s quite a workout but the guides will take care of you regardless. Our instructor, Connor, was awesome but all the instructors helped too. Watching my kid take to this was the best part. He said hands down this was the coolest thing he’s ever done.

We wanted to say we surfed at Waikiki Beach. We are in our 40s and not particularly athletic and with Marco's instruction and help, we were able catch some waves. The photography was also amazing and I'll have memories to cherish forever. 10/10 would get another lesson from Marco and the folks at OSP

The people at Ohana Surf Project were helpful, supportive, and laid back. Maddie in the office was more than willing to answer any questions and help with anything before the trip. Our lesson was with Kevin and he was supportive and encouraging and told us exactly what we needed to do to get up and have the best surfing experience. He was knowledgeable and chose the waves that would give us the best chance. Chelsea was taking photos/videos also gave advice on surfing. We had a semi private lesson which meant that there were two of us in our group with one instructor and about three other groups with their instructors sharing the same space. The instructors would all look out for the group in terms of safety but they focused their lessons only on their students. We had an awesome time, everyone got up on the board who wanted to, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a surf lesson, especially beginners.

Instructors were excellent, helped us catch good waves, gave specific feedback, and got us two never before surfers multiple waves! I thought the time was perfect! My back was tired, but they helped us paddle sometimes when noticing we were tired. I had a lot of fun! We went when it was slightly rainy, but i didn’t notice the rain at all so it was a great rainy day activity. Such a great first-time surf experience for my son and I!! The instructors were all awesome and super helpful. Everyone in our group got up on the board multiple times. 10/10 recommend!

Our instructor, Mark is very experienced. He was doing the best to help us surf as much as possible. My son and I had so much fun! We took semi private lesson but was at the same time with the group lesson. The other instructors are very good as well. Everyone is super friendly and helpful!

What a blast! These amazing people took personalized care of all 15 of us (friends and family). Some of us had surfed before, but most of us were "newbies", and we ALL had a fantastic time! Shawn, in particular, spoke with each of us and helped us feel comfortable and confident. They had a whole team there to help us get in multiple runs, and "toed us in" (yes, literally pulled our board behind theirs using only their toes) up to the next wave when we got tired. FANTASTIC! Do this even if you are scared to... you won't regret it... it's easier than you think!

This place was amazing! From the hotel pick up, to the people in the office and of course the amazing instructors. We really couldn’t have picked a better experience for me and my son (8 years old). We did a two hour lesson and it was the perfect amount of time to learn the basics and then get a ton of time with the instructor on the water. Mark was absolutely great with our son. I (36 years old) was able to learn quickly as well and then take breaks as needed. I would recommend this for anyone with kids who want to try surfing and learn in a fast and fun environment.

I was nervous about surfing since I have zero experience, but Luke was great! He was patient and explained everything. He even taxi-ed us back out which saved me because I'm certainly not in as good as shape to paddle so much.

1st time surfing for our family of 5. All the coaches were friendly and helpful. We all managed to catch a few waves. I was impressed that the coaches remembered everyone's name. It was so convent to be picked up and dropped off near our hotel. The photo package is extra but worth it - we got photos and videos of all 5 of us. My 11 year old is so excited to try surfing again.

I was nervous prior to this as I’m not as agile as I once was - I needn’t have worried. The guys were awesome and patient! Jake in particular was really good with me and got me standing and riding waves on at least 3 waves. I think for an hour group though the group was maybe a little large - there were 7 of us. Still really enjoyed and would still recommend.

Booked through Viator and the address for the meeting point in the app was incorrect which made it somewhat stressful. If you’ve booked a lesson at 3PM you’re asked to be at the surf center 20 minutes prior to scheduled lesson. So check you mail inbox for correct and detailed information. The instructor and co-workers were all friendly and skilled. My group consisted of one newbie (me) and three others who have tried surfing before. We all got individual tips how to improve our skills. This was clearly the most fun activity in Oahu!

This was one of the niiiiicest experiences ever. Best regards to instructor Kevin and our photographer (i forgot his name :( ), they were super nice and helpful. The experience was amazing. There were many surf instructors on hand and they were all so helpful. We caught so many waves as beginners. Shout out to Cole for being so patient and overall a great guy and instructor! Cherry on top was that they had a guy taking pictures and videos during the whole process. I would definitely recommend these guys!

Staff were professional and courteous. One coach for three surfers; part of a larger group of 7 so the “cycle” takes a little longer (the camera person is the “bottleneck” but I guess we all need pics of ourselves looking like a wooden golem on the board). But unless you are an experienced swimmer you will appreciate the breather between waves, the paddling gets tiring. 2h session was 80-90min in the water which was plenty. Complimentary shuttle pickup around Waikiki a helpful bonus.

My 2 kids and I had the best time for our very first surf lesson. Jayden was so patient and kind with us. All the staff were so nice and helpful. We were a bit nervous at first but were quickly at ease when we got in the water. We would definitely recommend Ohana Surf Project!!
