Absolutely worth the experience, especially if you haven’t done it before. Nothing like seeing the island from up top in the open cockpit. Jay was awesome. Talked about the plane, the area, and pointed out some turtles and whales way up high too.

My Vacation’s Highlight and a Hobby’s Birth

Without a doubt, flying a Gyrocopter was one of the coolest things I have ever done. The wind in your hair paired with an overhead view of the island and the ability to actually control the machine for most of the flight is an experience you will find nowhere else, and one you should absolutely not pass up. Jay is a wonderful teacher and an even better person. Not only did he convince me to seek out another flight, but I am also now beyond tempted to pursue my own license and Gyrocopter. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has even the slightest curiosity or interest. I guarantee it will be the highlight of any vacation.

Flying a gyroplane was my family's favorite activity in Hawaii, by far. What an incredible experience! My daughter was all smiles for the rest of our trip after her flight with Jay. It was fascinating learning about the gyroplane, and the scenery on the North Shore from an aerial perspective was breathing taking. My daughter continues to enjoy the experience days later by reliving the ride with her friends through her videos and pictures. Jay took the time to craft some great Instagram posts (@flyskylandair) and she's the topic of conversation in her friend group on social media, and what teenager doesn't love that!
