This was a great experience and definitely a bucket list item. The crew was exceptional. Knowledgeable and highly skilled. We as passengers had the opportunity to assist with sailing hoisting rigs, etc. The scenery amazing. We would go again in a heartbeat. Our craft was in the 1995 American cup with a Japanese crew. They did not win but a great vessel none the less.

A Magical Glowworm Experience

I went to Spellbound today and it was such an amazing experience. The glowworms were absolutely stunning — they looked just like a galaxy spread across the ceiling, so peaceful and magical. The whole tour felt calm and immersive, and the cave atmosphere made the glowworms even more beautiful. The van pick‑up was perfectly on time, and the ride was really comfortable. The driver (David) was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting facts along the way, which made the trip even better. Everything felt well‑organised from start to finish. The booking app was very easy to use too, so the whole process was smooth and stress‑free. Overall, it was a fantastic day and definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Incredible experience made special by our tour guide Jeoff!

The Hobbiton visit and experience was amazing. It was awe-inspiring to see where they filmed one of the best movies ever made. But our tour guide, Jeoff, made it extra special. He was nice and kind and gave us tons of insight about New Zealand and gave us recommendations on what places to visit. He came prepared with snacks and water and made sure everyone was comfortable during the ride. He also accommodated anyone that needed to use the restroom and even made a pit stop for ice cream on the way home, which was icing on the cake. Highly recommend using Cheeky Kiwi for this tour or any other tour in New Zealand!

Impressive Geysers and Maori traditions all in one!

Nelson, our guide, was fabulous, waiting for late passengers and accommodating all our wants. A very complete tour with Geothermal springs, visiting a beautiful lake, learning about Maori traditions and watching their songs and dance, viewing of kiwi birds and Maori arts and crafts. I recommend it highly.

Highly Recommend

The tour is a full day, including lunch, a couple of stops, the caves and, of course, Hobbiton. It was a great way to get out of Auckland and see some of the New Zealand countryside. Our guide (Shelly) had tons of tour experience and gave us lots of interesting information about NZ agriculture, history, culture and economy. I would do this tour again and I would highly recommend it.

Hobbiton and cave tours

The entire experience was exceptional! Idil (may have misspelled his name) was a great driver and tour guide. The Hobbiton tour was beyond our expectations-informative, immersive, uncrowded, and entertaining). It’s the opposite of a Disney theme park-peaceful, welcoming, with an incredible attention to detail. The cave tour was interesting and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced-very different from other cave tours due to the darkness, quiet boats, and glowing worms above you. Overall, a highly recommended experience.

It was a small group...

It was a small group tour, myself and a couple from England. Tour guide was professional and friendly from arranging the pick up, driving us to the various locations, providing commentary on the areas we passed by and those we visited. He also assisted with photo taking when my selfie stick failed me. I was solo traveling and initially was skeptical but ended up feeling safe. Auckland, New Zealand is a beautiful place & should be on your bucket list!

Dolhpins by the dozen

A perfect day on a very good boat for watching sea life. The guides were all degreed in dolphins etc and used the tour to gather scientific data on what we saw. Following bird signs in the huge bay, we found two huge pods of dolphins who played for us in the bow pressure wave in clear waters. They estimated one pod at 80 including a baby and we had easily a dozen playing right under our feet in the twin bows of the catamaran. In between sightings were video lectures on what we were seeing and the scientific studies in the bay. For those who wanted a snack, the galley had a variety of foods. Viewing indoors and out had the weather not been so beautiful.

My two kids (16 & 23) and...

My two kids (16 & 23) and I had a great time! The itinerary was organized well, giving us plenty of time to enjoy both sites without feeling too rushed. Having specialized guides for each location was a huge plus—they were incredibly knowledgeable and made the tours more interesting Additionally, our driver/guide was great—not only knowledgeable and funny but an incredible driver who handled the traffic with ease, keeping the ride smooth and comfortable. The box lunch was just enough and satisfying. Overall, a fun experience.

There and Back Again

This was a wonderful trip! Liam was a great driver and guide, giving background info about the areas we passed thru on the long drive there and back again. The prospect of a 13-hour...

The prospect of a 13-hour tour, most of it on the road, was daunting at first, but we were able to stop regularly for bathroom breaks and to stretch our legs, and Pearl was a knowledgeable and fun guide. More than adequate time was spent at each attraction, and the tour did not feel hectic. Very much enjoyed the entire experience.

What an adventure

The drive from Aukland to the Hobbiton Movie Set is about 2 and half hours. You will have an opportunity to buy Souvenirs at the beginning .. get them while you can because you don't come back to the souvenir shop. You get back on the bus and drive to the Shire where you are guided by an expert employed by the Hobbiton Movie Set. Your tour is strictly timed as they are trying to put 2500 people through in a day and not have everyone tripping over each other or getting in each other's way. It is an absolutely amazing experience and as long as everyone is cooperative, it will go smoothly. Each group is about 46 people. There's so much to see .. and there's a lot of hills. It is not for wheelchairs, not for anyone using a walker, or have mobility issues.
