Our kayak and snorkel tour with Maui Eco Tours- South Pacific Kayaks was the highlight of our Maui trip. If you can, ask for Rabbit as your guide. He was outstanding! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, naturally funny and made everyone feel completely at ease, especially when it came to safety. The experience itself was amazing. We saw sea turtles and an incredible variety of fish, and since we visited during whale season, we also got to see whales. The tour felt personal, relaxed, and immersive in a way that a large tour boat simply can’t match. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui, and especially Rabbit as your guide. It’s an absolute must-do.

Kris was an AMAZING guide. She was so patient and informative, teaching us about the Hawaiian islands, the reef, snorkeling, etc. She did great with the novice people in our group and was so kind with some of the more cautious people that weren’t used to the ocean. She was very observant tracking where we all were, making sure we stayed in safe areas, and keeping an eye on our weaker swimmers. She gave great advice on recommendations for future swimming and snorkeling. We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend her.

This was such an amazing experience! The guide was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and just overall a great guy. He put our safety first at all times and kept us out of the tough current which was great because we were all first timers and we had our 5 year old daughter with us. He knew all the interesting history of the island and the best spots for snorkeling which made it an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. It was my daughter's first time kayaking and snorkeling and you would have thought she had done it for years! He was so great with her and even let her ride on the front of his kayak paddling so she could feel like Moana the Wayfinder lol! Needless to say, she will never forget it. She enjoyed his company so much that she ditched mom, dad, and the grandmas for his kayak the rest of the way. Since both of our moms were in their 60's, we were worried how they would do on the excursion but they did great! It was very doable and even relaxing. This was our favorite experience on the island and I cannot stress enough how amazing the guide was for us. We will 100% be returning to do this again with him!

We had a super great guide! John knew so much about the ecosystems, area and best way to handle being on the water and snorkeling. Small group, great personal service and genuinely wanted to ensure the group had a great experience. I would highly recommend this trip. It’s the right length of time for an excursion if you don’t want a full day consumed with a group and with a guide that appeared to love what he does!

My husband and I were not sure if we were going to make the excursion because our car rental broke down. We immediately contacted the tour guide through chat and they were so responsive. We were about 10 minutes late and they waited for us. This was the beginning of our trip and they made it so memorable with their kindness and true spirit of hospitality service. We absolutely loved our tour guides and the informative information they shared about the area. We will definitely use them again when we come back!! Our family of five had an unforgettable 2.5-hour private kayaking and snorkeling adventure. Roger, the owner, recommended switching to the 7 AM tour for better weather and marine life visibility—excellent advice! Our guide, Tyler, was outstanding. He provided clear, encouraging instructions and tailored the experience to fit our interests. We opted to focus on snorkeling and couldn’t be happier. Tyler took us to a spot filled with sea turtles—it felt like swimming in a dream. He also shared fascinating insights about Maui’s marine life and history, which added so much depth to the experience. We explored a vibrant coral reef full of colorful fish and sea creatures. The entire tour felt safe, personal, and truly special. This was, hands down, the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!
