Jared and Summer were great wranglers! They are super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Gave us lots of interesting facts and stories about the ranch. They made the process super easy and enjoyable. We would totally do it again. Rooster and Boone took great care of us as well!!

Wonderful, relaxing, peaceful. Our guides Kayley and Sydnee were splendid. Sydnee was the lead and Kayley was closer to the back where I was. Kayley engaged with everyone in our group. She made it a point to talk with all 12 or so in the group. Very enthusiastic and extremely personable.
The trail was fairly flat, but it had been raining for several days and Kayley mentioned that we were taking an alternate path because the usual one takes riders uphill which is too slippery and hard on the horses. The horses were tame and appeared well taken care of. I’ve been of a half dozen or so riding experiences and what I liked was that the horses wore “feed bags” so they weren’t tempted to go off trail to graze on things. It made it much easier for the novice riders. The horses stayed on the trail with very little to no direction. If you’re expecting a easy, slow paced ride this is for you. I recommend it for anyone who is a first timer, youngsters, elderly, or just wanting something new and different. The view was ok. Perhaps, had we taken the higher trail the view may have been more impressive. Overall, the people were very friendly and welcoming. Our guides Kayley and Sydnee were excellent!

This was a great experience! Kaylee and Connor were amazing and tool good care of us. They have 43 horses and almost 1000 acres of land with great trails!

My husband and I did the sunset ride and Raegan was excellent, knowledgeable and so friendly. It was my husband’s first time horseback riding and his horse Gimley was wonderful with him. My horse Mango was just the sweetest horse. We will definitely be back again.

This is a long ride from wikiki so make sure you leave 3 hours in advance. We were late but the facility worked with us so we were able to change our time slot. The animals are all calm and easy to ride.

My boyfriend and I booked the sunset tour at Gunstock Ranch. The ride was beautiful, our guide, Lan, was enjoyable and knew a lot about the ranch. The horses were well taken care of and the staff was friendly!

This was a perfect ending to our trip. Very relaxing and quite different from our other activities. Our guide, Devin, was knowledgeable and attentive and our horses, Joey and Grimley, were both very well trained, as were all the others on the trail.

Aloha, we are sorry to hear about your frustration. Our policy is to ride rain or shine, as the weather in Hawaii is unpredictable. We experienced a few thunder and lightning storms, which prompted us to cancel all the tours as riding in that type of storm is very dangerous.

If you are staying in the town of Laeia, Gunstock Ranch is a great choice for horseback riding. Much smaller than competing companies, I enjoyed the intimate tour (5 of us) led by Cooper. He reviewed safety instructions and how to steer our horses if need be. Very scenic, relaxing, and I loved Mogley, the horse I was with. This is a great activity especially this time of year (February) where it was cool and shaded. Cooper also provided us information about the local flora and fauna, cows, and birds along the trail. One of a kind experience to enjoy some quiet time in nature with distant scenes of the oceans and surrounding forest.

this was truly the best experience i’ve ever had in my life. i’d say the riding was the best part , but truthfully the staff really made the entire visit. everyone is so kind and full of great personality. definitely recommend for anyone all ages.

We had such a wonderful time! The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. The horses were all very well behaved and gentle to ride. The guides were talkative and engaging. We would highly recommend this tour and if you can, ride Mango or Raider, they were great horses!

The tour was very enjoyable! The ranch had at least 20 horses and seemed very professional. The trail wasn’t too difficult except for a few uphill and downhill parts. It was also fun to ride on those parts, though. The ride is suited for beginners as the horses themselves were very calm and not defiant. Would recommend!

Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great family ride. Well worth it! My husband and I took our 8, 9, and 11-year-old children, and the kids felt comfortable riding. The horses were gentle and beautiful. We loved experiencing the ranch.

Such an amazing time. Sunset was so pretty ok horse back. The horses were well behaved. I’d never ridden one before and it was stress free. The wranglers were helpful and knowledgeable. The only thing we would have changed is done a private tour instead of a group tour.
