What To Expect
Hop aboard a spacious, 42-passenger catamaran as you set sail along the coastline of Oahu.
Relax and enjoy the comfortable ride as you keep your eyes peeled for the pods of wild dolphins that inhabit the waters around the island.
Take a dip in the refreshing water and snorkel amongst tropical fish and other types of marine life, including sea turtles. Experience swimming with wild dolphins in their natural habitat from a respectful distance. You may spot bottlenose dolphins, spotted dolphins, and rough-toothed dolphins.
Please note that while spinner dolphins also inhabit the area, to abide by the 2021 Marine Mammal Protection Act, the tour will keep a minimum of 50 yards away from their pods and the boat will quickly reposition away from the spinner dolphins should they appear near the vessel.
Refuel with lunch onboard the catamaran, and snap photos of the scenic views before returning to port.

- Please note that BANANAs are prohibited on the boat due to Hawaiian superstitions. It will bring bad luck.
- We have snorkel gear on the boat for you, but if you have your own snorkel, mask and fins, please bring them.
- Please note that sightings of wild dolphins and other marine wildlife are not guaranteed.
- The time required for the transfer between Waikiki and the harbor is approximately 1 hour. (Depends on traffic conditions)
- Weather and wildlife conditions may delay our return to harbor.
- Starting October 28, 2021 regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act banned the 50-yard approach to Hawaiian spinner dolphins. Therefore, if we encounter a spinner dolphins, we will keep a distance of at least 50 yards and our boat will move away from the spinner dolphins quickly. On our tours you will experience swimming with other species of dolphins such as bottlenose and spotted dolphins. Dolphins are wild animals, so the species you can see will vary depending on the situation of the day. Please note that the above rules apply when seeing Hawaiian spinner dolphins. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation for the protection of wild animals.
- During peak travel seasons, we may occasionally add special additional tours in order to accommodate a higher volume of guests. As a result, tour times may differ from the standard schedule shown at the time of booking. If there is any change to your tour time after your reservation is confirmed, we will notify you by email as soon as possible. These adjustments are made to allow more guests the opportunity to participate, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
- Guests under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver form.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it's canceled because the minimum isn't met, you'll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Know that you will be jumping off the boat while it is slowly moving and it will be rocking you have to keep some balance. It is a great experience and the crew did exactly what they said they searched until they found dolphins and we did find a lot it did take a little while though. The crew was fantastic and so helpful!!!

These wonderful people really treat you like Ohana. They want to make sure you are comfortable and safe during the entire trip. From the moment of pick up to drop off it was a very pleasant tour. I was traveling alone and got lucky and only had 5 others were booked with me. So it was a much more personal experience. We got to se a few dolphins where other boats that went out didn’t see anything. We also stopped by to see turtles and got to hold an octopus. The snacks, drinks and lunch were a nice bonus and very delicious. I loved hearing stories from the crew and the Island and Hawaiian culture too.

Great experience! Swam with turtles and pilot whales (dolphins). Got to see spinner dolphins and an octopus up close. Staff was wonderful, interactive, knowledgeable and fun to be around. Food was perfect. Definite do! Got amazing photos/videos was the cherry on top.

They were not clear on the pick up time. Tried to pick us up 1.5hrs early and then refused to refund us. Horrible company that just takes people's money.

Sorry that you were unable to join the tour.
You stated that we changed the pickup time by 1.5 hours for our own convenience, however, both VIATOR and we have already explained this matter.
As clearly stated on the booking page, 7:30 is the boat’s departure time, not the pickup time. The pickup schedule is also listed on the reservation page.
In addition, we sent you an email on May 15 with the pickup location and time.
All of our customers have arrived at the meeting point on time using the same process.
On the morning of the tour, you were not at the meeting point, our driver and tour guide tried calling you several times but there was no answer, we also sent you text messages.
We waited for about 15 minutes, but we had to pick up other guests, so the bus had to be leaving.
There was no mistake in our operation on this occasion. Thank you for your understanding.

I came to Honolulu just for the weekend. I decided to book this tour to swim with the dolphins. Not only did the crew make me feel welcome, they treated me like family.
The dolphin experience was magical to say the least the fact that you can swim right next to Wild dolphins is exhilarating!
This is definitely a must do tour specifically with Indigo Ocean Hawaii tour.

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would! We’re still talking about how cool of an experience it was days later. We got to swim with dolphins, whales, turtles, and fish! One of the crew also caught a tiny octopus! Definitely the highlight of our trip. If you’re thinking of doing this, book it!!

Fantastic experience. The crew were knowledgeable and personable. Got us right over pilot whales twice and within feet of turtles after the whales. They caught an octopus for us to hold and the photographer was amazing! Amazing trip, couldn't have been better.

You'll have more fun than expected and Steve and the crew make you feel like family!! Best time ive had the entire trip! Definitely recommend! I saw more than a dozen dolphins at once sea turtles and beautiful fish! Do yourself a favor and book immediately!

It was awesome. We saw sea turtles and dolphins up close! Steve also took pictures of us (you can buy them for $70) and the Kalua pig lunch was the cherry on top! A big plus is that you get the meal, a snack, and Hawaiian juice / water for free while other companies charge you for it. I’d recommend it to anyone that knows how to swim

Take your motion sickness meds before you go. Excellent tour, saw a lot of dolphins and turtles. Lunch was really good and just the right amount. John and Steve were awesome and made us feel well taken care of when we got sea sick. Will definitely go again next time when I'm in Honolulu!!!

It was an extremely relaxing day with a crew full of fun and laughter they enjoyed the trip as much as we did. The boat had just the right amount of people, very friendly and an atmosphere of anticipation to see the dolphins.

Super fun day! The shuttle service was on time, super friendly staff, especially our guide today, Steve! This was a great experience for our family of 6, including a 12-yr old and 3 teenagers. The crew was attentive, funny and proactively engaged with my teens and they loved it. I felt safe the entire time and they made a huge effort to ensure we saw dolphins. The smaller quantity of people on the tour/boat made it feel person and we received a lot of 1:1 attention. As a bonus the Hawaiian lunch was really tasty! Would highly recommend this provider for future families.

This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We didn’t just get what was promised—we got an unforgettable experience. We saw whales, swam with dolphins, and had an amazing snorkeling session in crystal-clear water.
The crew truly made the day exceptional. They were knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about what they do. The highlight for me was when I accidentally lost my GoPro—and one of the crew members free dove nearly 80 feet to retrieve it. That level of effort and care is something you just don’t see every day.
Everything was well organized, the lunch was great, and the entire experience felt seamless and relaxed. If you’re even considering this tour, book it. Easily one of the best experiences of our trip.

This was a once in a lifetime trip for our family, I made a mistake and booked the snorkel tour on the wrong day. When I contacted the company as soon as I was aware of my mistake and asked if we could rebook on the correct date they were very unhelpful. The tour cost our family over $500 dollars and they would not work with us. I was not asking for a refund, and I know it was my mistake but what they did was simply unethical. They were hard to communicate with and very unhelpful or flexible. Not sure if the other companies are any better, but go with some one else!!!

I sincerely regret that you were unable to participate in the tour.
As I explained to you via email...We exchanged correspondence several times to confirm the details of your reservation. During those exchanges, I believe you had ample opportunity to notice that the reserved date was off by one month.
On the day of the tour, you were scheduled to meet at the harbor.
When you failed to arrive by the designated check-in time, our staff—concerned for called you, at which point the wrong was discovered.
At that point, your reservation was treated as a same-day cancellation.
Our tours operate with a very limited number of seats, and once a reservation is confirmed, those seats are held and no longer available to other guests. For this reason, same-day bookings fall under our cancellation policy, as those reserved seats represent unavailable inventory once secured.
While we are unable to waive the fee for schedule changes, we offered a discount applicable to your next reservation to help offset the change fee. However, you declined this offer.
We appreciate your understanding regarding our operations.
