A very unexpected disappointment. Those sitting in the right half of the helicopter got the majority of the spectacular views and photo/video ops. From behind the pilot, nearly every video and picture taken out the left windows has his khaki pants reflecting😟 Before leaving the office for the helicopter , the office made a special point of asking 2 of our riders to change into dark clothing just for that reason…🤷🏻♀️ Kauai is raw and beautiful, wish we had asked the pilot to turn back to give us the same vantage point of the Napali coastline

Great experience. Smooth flight even the “first timers” were comfortable. The only downside side for me was the office where you sign in and watch the mandatory safety video. They had numerous reed diffusers in the small space and the scent (s) were overwhelming to someone like myself who is sensitive to chemical fragrances.

They never even asked for my ticket or ID. They made us watch a safety video. I got to sit in the back left side. They offer lockers no sweaters hoodies tied around your waist. No personal items except cell phone or camera. They drive you to the landing. The pilot was James was full of information. And I could hardly believe it we had already gone to four beaches before flying and we flew over all of them. Also we did the Napali coast sail with Holo Holo charters and having seen it from land first than air was soo exciting!! Saw LOTS of waterfalls

This is not only for safety but to be fair to all on aboard who also request seats. Once a weight and balance is generated and filed for the pilot we can't make changes. So ... YES... if you have special request it needs to be done at booking or at check in time at the latest:-) Mahalo nui for choosing Safari!

We had to cancel our flight due to a refueling issue. However, the staff quickly rescheduled another flight during our stay on the island. The staff were professional and friendly. The rescheduled flight ended up being in our favor since the weather was perfect. The pilot did an excellent job making sure everyone was comfortable and gave us a great tour of the island. Highly recommend.

Spectacular trip. No one in my family had been in a helicopter before, so we were a little nervous. But it was so smooth! The pilot made us feel at ease and the moment we were flying over beautiful Kauai it was like nothing else in the world mattered. 1,000% worth the cost. Our kids are 12 and 8 and absolutely loved it, and my wife and I will remember those sights for the rest of our lives. Thank you!

We booked for 11.20am and got a call the day before trying to move it to 9.30am which we couldn’t make. Leroy wanted us to cancel with Viator then book with them. Then 6pm that night they changed our booking time to 1.20pm without ringing us . We got there and were with 4 other passengers. We were put in the back with limited room and less vision . It was very uncomfortable in the back.
If you are going as a couple pick a company that will just take two as being in the front would’ve been so much better.

Natalie all of us here at Safari are so very sorry for the confusion and disappointment. Last minute changes sometimes happen due to weather, pilot illness or mechanical issues. In our effort to not cancel anyone we do our very best to put guests together with an eye toward comfort but this is not always possible.

We had a wonderful experience on our waterfall tour with Safari helicopters. Our guide, Daly, was an excellent pilot and provided great commentary as we explored Waimea canyon, the Na'Pali coast and all of the amazing waterfalls. We would highly recommend to anyone travelling with kids and would definitely book this again if we return. Make sure to ask for Daly and book at the beginning of your trip in case they need to cancel for weather-related reasons (that way there is plenty of time for them to re-book you on a future flight)!

That if the entire group assigned to this flight decides not to fly then the trip is scrapped. Due to weather conditions we could not see everything and one couple did not want to go if they could not see the entire experience. Very inconvenient.

This is such a wonderful tour and a must do on the island. The crew is so thoughtful and good and the pilot kept things so calm. The views are absolutely stunning. We even saw three whales breach which was an added bonus. Had the best time with my husband and 3 year old toddler who thoroughly enjoyed the ride too.!
