Upon entering the Lihue Airport stay to the left towards the CARGO/HELIPORT. Take a left at the second stop sign and head north on Ahukini Road. Take the first right after the UPS Customer Center Drive and look for the Air Kauai sign. Park on the grass area and check-in in the black office.

- Total weight per passenger: 230 lbs
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 3 days of travel. In this case confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Near public transportation
- Most travelers can participate
- You are allowed to bring a cell phone, go pro or camera. Air Kauai will provide a lanyard for one camera device per person.
- Passengers must be 10yrs old or older to participate on the Doors Off flight. Only passengers 16 years old and older can be on an outside/edge seat.
- Weight restrictions: Any passenger exceeding 230lbs, two passenger combined over 400lbs or for groups of 3 or more an average weight of 190lbs or more an additional seat must be purchased at the time of booking. Any passenger over 250lbs no matter what the combined weight is must purchase an additional seat. This is for the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.
- Must wear closed toed shoes or sandals that strap to your ankles. No flip flops or slides.
- Please view your ticket for your confirmation number, check-in and departure times.
- No hats, bags, sunglasses or any loose items allowed. Nothing in your pockets. We provide goggles that you are required to wear. If you have prescription glasses that is fine please wear smallest pair or contacts as they must go under the goggles.
- Long hair must be tied up in a bun or braid.
- The helicopter is a shared cabin of 6 passengers and one pilot on each flight.
- Not wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair passengers nor can the staff personally/physically assist people into the helicopter.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers

We are from Europe. And a ‘must’ see is for us never ‘ a must’. This is different. Worth all your money! Must see! 60% of the Island is only by chopper to see. Simple. You can’t come there, only by a chopper.
This is a good company. Not to expensive and nice staff. All you need on your trip.

The view was beautiful. My headphones did not work so I did not hear any narration. My guests said the pilot, who narrated the flight, sounded like he had narrated once too many times and had a very flat narration. We would all recommend that only 3 people be allowed to sit in the back with the doors open. My friend had part of her bottom off the seat and her foot part way out. There is not enough room for 4 in back safely. Another thing that would have helped and be safer is to have a safety belt for across the chest for the two outside seats. The pilot piloted the helicopter well

I was able to sit in front, what a wonderful experience!! I highly recommend coughing up the money for this breathtaking experience. Although I went solo many of my family members have gone before me and we all feel the same way concerning the ride. A must do!

Get there a little bit early so you can get yourself ready with your coach or video on how to travel on the helicopter. Flight itself is absolutely awesome we saw waterfalls that a lot of people don't get to see thanks to the recent rains they have thoughts highly recommend this to anybody that would love to try a helicopter ride doors off is awesome also

Flying inside the crater. It is beyond description. The ocean is so beautiful with all the different colors of blue, turquoise, and greens. The red canyon is such a dramatic change in scenery but beautiful in its own right. Loved our pilot, he was a great story teller of Hawaiian history with just a little humor.

We are so glad we booked this helicopter tour of Kauai. It was one of the 3 best experiences we had during our trip. Our pilot and guide, Steve, was great. We felt safe and comfortable the whole time. No issues with feeling sick - Steve made the flight very comfortable and enjoyable. He provided a lot of good commentary during the ride and pointed out a lot of interesting places to visit.
We were in awe of the beauty we saw during this ride. I highly recommend this experience as early as possible during your trip.

We chose Air Kauai because it allows five person doors off flight. I think my choice is very correct!
A wonderful experience began with checking in. The office is beautiful. The lady who received us was very friendly. The Pilot is professional and funny. Although it was raining when we takeoff, the weather became perfect soon and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Kauai Island with music.
I recommend Air Kauai to family travelers. They can meet your needs. I suggest wearing jackets and pants because there will be cold in the sky. And they only allow you to carry on ONE electronic device (The staff can keep other electronic devices for you)

It was the highlight of our Kauai visit. Once we got over the fear of falling out, it was spectacular. Our pilot was amazing! Knowledgable, sense of humor and a very reassuring voice and manner. He was great. The women who helped get us off the ground were also amazing!! Cassie, Keani and Krystle all made us feel welcome and actually calmed our nerves !!! Highly recommend Kauai Air.
