What are people saying about Kauai

10/10 can’t miss this!
We absolutely loved our experience with Holu Holu charters. We saw spinner dolphins! We were well informed of the rough conditions due to weather and waves so we were able to prepare! Definitely take Dramamine before so you can relax and unwind on board. Captain, Selma and Noah were great hosts and everyone had fun the whole time! Oh…. And did I mention you get to see the coast at sunset?!!

Family Trip
This was a great experience for myself, my family and my mom. We saw all the major sites on the trip. This was the first time seeing the island this way and it was well worth the money! I would do it again next time I am in town! The pilot did a great flying as well!

Worth Every Step (and Every Muddy Shoe!)
We had an amazing time on the Kauai Secret Falls Kayak & Hike tour! Our guide, Helm, was a substitute guide, and he was absolutely fantastic. 10/10 would recommend him! He kept a fast pace but was incredibly accommodating and patient with everyone in the group, making sure no one felt left behind while still keeping the tour moving. One thing that really stood out was that Helm was thoughtful about making sure everyone on the tour was set up for success. Before we started, he had an honest conversation with an older guest about the physical demands of the tour, and she ultimately decided not to participate. After experiencing the hike ourselves, we really appreciated his professionalism. The trail can be much more challenging than it sounds, especially with the muddy conditions, and it was clear he genuinely wanted everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience. The kayaking portion takes place on a river, so when we went the water wasn’t very wavy at all. My wife and I are in our late 20s, work out regularly, and found the kayaking very manageable. As long as you don’t tip your kayak, you likely won’t need a dry bag for most of your belongings. Our items stayed dry the entire time. The only thing you may want extra protection for is your phone, just to be safe. The hike, however, is no joke when it comes to mud! Wear shoes you don’t care about because they will very likely end up completely caked in mud by the end. There are also several stream and river crossings, some with fairly fast-moving water, so be prepared to navigate those on your own. The hike itself isn’t extremely strenuous, but it is fairly long, and the muddy conditions make it much more challenging. Almost everyone in our group slipped or fell at least once because the trail was so slick. If you have limited mobility, struggle with uneven terrain, or aren’t comfortable with a longer hike in muddy conditions, this may not be the best excursion for you. A reasonable level of fitness and good balance will help you enjoy the experience much more. The reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The waterfall is stunning, and we were able to swim, which was one of the highlights of the trip. Helm also did an amazing job throughout the tour, pointing out local plants, sharing interesting information about the area, and even calling over a bird so we could watch it up close and feed it a worm he found in the ground. It was such a unique experience and something we’ll definitely remember. A few tips for future visitors: * Eat a filling meal before the tour—it’s a solid workout. * Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. * Pack a snack to enjoy at the waterfall since no food is provided. * Wear shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Beautiful scenery, a fun adventure, and an outstanding guide. We would absolutely do it again!

Just TRUST…this is a MUST!
It does take physical labor, especially the kayak. There is a lot of mud!! Can be slippery and dirty lol. Tyler our guide was beyond amazing! Pointed out so much along the trek even the must places to eat while we were in the van ride over! He was insightful, enjoyable and a pure delight.

Kauai hiking tours are nature adventures that lead you throughout the island’s lush landscape to waterfalls, swimming holes, and scenic spots. These excursions visit secluded cascades, such as Papakolea Falls and Bamboo Falls, or combine kayaking through the Wailua River Valley State Park with a hike to Secret Falls and its swimming hole. Either way, you’ll be guided by experts who share insight into the area’s history, and handle all the navigation, so you can simply marvel at the landscape around you.
