Fun and Challenging Day and so worth it!

This is about a 2 mile kayaking adventure on the way to a sometimes challenging trail--maybe a mile long, to the beautiful Secret Falls. Then taking the traik back abd getting in the Kayaks again for the 2 mile trip back to the starting point. We were all given dry bags for our things and a nice stay dry pouch for our lunch which was provided. I am 70 and it was difficult. Paddling is not so difficult and our guide, Eli, helped those falling behind by towing behind his Kayak. The trail is not steep but there a muddy portions and water crossings A rather long portion of the trail has Trex like bolted down planks, but other portions were full of large boulders abd huge tree roots. The tour and guide were exceptional. I would certainly go again but would not advise this for those not in good physical condition nor elderly with limitations. Was great for kids, adults and those in good physical condition ni matter what age.

Awesome time!

We had such a great time on our kayak tour with Kolo and Gabe. They were awesome hosts and so fun and knowledgeable. Big thanks to those guys for getting some awesome pics for us and airdropping them before we left. We saw at least 3 sea turtles and so many fish! Highly recommend doing this experience. Thanks to all you guys at kayak hanalei!!

Awesome tour.

The trip is a lot of fun abut you will get muddy! Our guide, Kai, was awesome. He has 10 yrs experience and is very knowledgeable, patient, and funny. He made sure we went at a pace that was comfortable for everyone in the group and didn’t rush us. He did forewarn us prior to departing that because of the rain, we may not be able to do the hike and gave us the option to reschedule, get a full refund or try and do both. He said if we got to the hike and he didn’t feel it was safe we wouldn’t do it and would get a partial refund. He gave us time in private to discuss among the group but our decision needed to be unanimous (if we all wanted to do the hike), as we all had to stay with the group. We decided to go ahead and were fortunate to be able to do it. It did start to rain once we made it to the falls so we decided to not stay very long and head back.

Best Kayaking and snorkeling experience

One of the best tours in Kauai! This is a must. We had such a great time from the beginning of the tour to the end. Kayaking through a beautiful river and into the ocean with excellent snorkeling on a secluded beach was the highlight of our Kauai trip. Highly recommend it!

Amazing outrigger ride.

We had such a great time. We were running a few mins late and they waited very nicely for us. We were the last run of the day. Our guide was fabulous. He was very quick and direct with instructions but made it so we understood everything. Had 4 great runs on the waves. Our teenage boys (17 & 14) loved it. Would definitely do it again.

Favorite activity in Kauai!

The Wailua River Kayak and Hike was our kids' favorite activity in Kauai this trip! Levi was our tour guide and he was amazing. He was positive, funny, musical, and interactive. He taught us about different native plants and their uses, and made sure everyone in our group stayed together during the kayaking. We highly recommend!

Fun Time in Nature

This was one of our favorite excursions. Julia, Bubba and Eli were terrific and made the day a fun adventure on Kuau’i. We kayaked two miles, then hiked about 15-20 minutes to a swimming hole. After that we boarded a safari transport to our lunch and ziplining spot. After lunch, we did two ziplines and then hiked to another swimming hole where we spent about 25 minutes. Afterwards we hiked about 30 minutes back to a motorized canoe that took us back to the kayak shack. It was a great time—just remember to wear sturdy water shoes and bring your bug spray. The mosquitoes were relentless.

This was a lot of fun -...

This was a lot of fun - however you will use your arms a lot so be prepared for a bit of a workout to get up the river. But if you’ve kayaked before it’s like that- the rowing up the river was about 1 hour for my group in a tandem. The hike is fun, lots of roots and steps and crossing the river twice in some rocky places but it’s fine for normal mobility people. But it’s not for people with any mobility issues. Our guide went in his bare feet but I’m not ready for that experience yet. The waterfall at the end was a supreme reward.

Amazing Kauai Kayak Adventure

GREAT EXPERIENCE and not too strenuous of an activity

Theo and Zeck were excellent tour guides. Between the two of them, they shared history, humor, and suggestions for local lunch spots afterwards. The only bummer was that due to the lack of rain over the last couple of weeks, the waterfalls were almost non-existent, but the swimming pools were still full. Overall, a great way to experience the river and the beauty of Kauai's land.
