Great crew! Organized. Knew where to find the whales. We got lucky and witnessed a whale breaching the water.
The best experience I have ever had with a tour group. Very knowledgeable about whales and conservation for the whales. Would highly recommend this tour. We saw lots of whales.
What an experience it was, griffin and his crew were so knowledgeable and passionate in what they were doing, we saw 5 breaches, awesome trip
Fantastic, well organised, fun trip. Although it was late September, we saw at least 5 whales, who breached right by the boat, it was spectacular. Justin took the boat to the perfect place and Kacey & Griffin kept us fully informed about whales life cycle in a fun way throughout the trip.
The crew and bus driver were amazing. Very friendly and you can tell they love what they do. A+, recommended

Fantastic Tour! Plenty of indoor seating while the boat was motoring to the whale sighting areas. Plenty of standing area OUTSIDE for viewing! Guides were very knowledgeable. We took this tour mid-September and saw at least 8 whales!
This was amazing! Despite a rainy cold day it still was so much fun! Captain Krichelle and the naturalists Kacie and Gwen were so informative and clearly love the whales! Highly recommend!
Prompt, clean, and beautifully organized. The transfers were smooth, the boat was comfortable and clean, and the crew made the experience feel easy from start to finish. We loved having the heated cabin and outdoor viewing areas, and the naturalist commentary made the humpback sightings feel even more special. A very memorable Juneau experience.
Excellent tour! We saw a handful of humpback whales. The tour guides, Taylor and Griffin, were very knowledgeable and made for a pleasant and fun tour.
We had an AMAZING time! It was super easy to find, the check-in crew could have an attitude adjustment but the tour itself redeemed the entire check in experience. Griffin was INCREDIBLE! We would come back just to have him as one of our guides again. Entertaining, saw 5 beautiful whales, educational, and he made it so much fun! We also highly appreciated all the knowledge of both Justin and Kace had!! All around amazing tour. Plus the bus ride was also incredible with so much history of the city shared.
Organized except we had to wait for 20 mins at Mendelhall center when picking up late passengers. Verry knowledgeable staff, especially Naturalist Kacie.
It was very well organised. Interesting, funny and best of all we saw lots of whales both Humpbacks and Orcas.
Lexi who drove the bus was such a breath of fresh air, really funny, chatty and completely added to our experience.
We had Larry, Sophie and Taylor on the boat trip, we were up front with Sophie and she shared some really valuable knowledge.

Greatest experience ever! A must do in Juneau. They were spot on with finding whales to see and extremely knowledgeable about the whales. I would do it again.
It was great. Captain James and crew were awesome and very knowledgeable in sharing info about the whales we saw. The bus driver shared a little about the history of Juneau and the other towns. I would use them again.
The staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Captain found orcas and humpback whales. Really enjoyable.
The sighting of whales or orcas is by no means guaranteed. In our case either the company did not order enough whales or the wales did not want to come to the surface because they were afraid to get wet, as it was raining.
It was fantastic despite a slight drizzle. We had the sun too. Saw so many whales and orcas (which are rare to be seen. Our hosts, Griffin, Casey and Captain Larry were excellent.
Shuttle driver has to go way out of the way to pick up other people, which put us way being schedule. We only got about 40-50 minutes on the water before we had to go back in when the activity’s listed time is 3 hours 30 minutes. Feels like we were cheated.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Unfortunately, The part of the tour I believe you are referring to pick up other guests is part of the tour. When we pick up guests we offer a viewing of the glacier for all guests as the Mendenhall Glacier is one of Juneau most astonishing features.
When booking with through Trip Advisor/Viator you are able to see the itinerary for our tours. There you will see our whale watching tour is a 3.5 hour tour, 2 hours on the water with 1.5 hours of drive time and a glacier viewing from the bus. Saw a lot of whales and got a lot of good tail pictures!🙂. Gwen and Sophie were great and the Captain did well to find us over 7 whales. Super fun!
We had a great experience whale watching yesterday! The crew was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable.
Taylor especially stood out. He seemed to know everything there was to know about whales and was able to answer every question people asked. Not once did he seem stumped, and you could tell he was genuinely passionate about what he does. That really made the experience even more enjoyable.
We did get to see a few whales, which was exciting! We didn’t see as many as we had hoped for, and they weren’t quite as close-up as I would have liked, but that’s nature—you can’t control where the whales decide to show up! 🐋
Overall, we had a wonderful time and really appreciated the crew’s knowledge and effort to make the experience memorable. I would definitely recommend

We had a fabulous afternoon - the crew were amazing - starting with the bus driver through to the naturalist on board who was so informative & the effort made to ensure we saw hump backed whales & orcas. Would highly recommend. As an aside I made a mistake when I booked the tour & they went out of their way to help me which I really appreciated. A great experience all round.
Had an excellent time on our AK Tales whale watching cruise. Delton, Claire and Taylor were extremely friendly and informative. We were able to see multiple Orcas and Humpbacks up close. A wonderful experience with a company and crew that very obviously loves what they do and wants to share the great experience with others.
Michelle, Ash, and Griffin were amazing, personable, and Very knowledgeable. We saw a group of humpback whales bubble-netting, an unexpected event. It was wonderful.
This was a great experience to enjoy whale watching as well as learning a lot about marine life. The entire crew were extremely knowledgeable, experienced fun, and friendly.
