Omg we saw so many whales. We had three ladies on our boat. The captain really made the trip so much fun. I think her name was Hannah. We had a great time. A must see. Have your camera ready.

I was nervous to take this tour during our stop over in Juneau on a cruise. I was afraid maybe they wouldn't get us back on time. They did pick us up on time and get us back in plenty of time to make our boarding. We saw lots of whales and everyone was super friendly and taught us a lot of interesting information. We went in August. I'm not sure if that has an impact on how many whales we saw, but it was a very good experience.

What’s a whale watching adventure after the whales migrate out of the area? It’s a little boat ride out. It’s a little boat ride back. Fortunately for us, it was a beautiful day. And the crew was delightful.

10/10 would recommend. Was a little worried at first when I saw this was one of the only companies still doing tours (mid Oct) and also taking same day bookings but everything went smoothly. The staff was very friendly and called to make sure we were finding the check in location okay. The bus driver provided a lot of information/facts about Juneau and was even nice enough to drop everyone off at the cruise docking station instead of downtown where we would have needed to take the shuttle. Chrishell and Will were very knowledgeable and full of personality. You can really tell that all of the staff truly enjoys their job and wants visitors to have the best experience possible. They were very aware that most guests were on the cruise and were mindful to make sure we got back on time. The snacks were also a great above and beyond gesture!

We had the last tour of the season, and they didn’t think we would see anything. Well we were surprised…we got to watch 3 whales continuously play together in the water. For about 2 hours. The crew was fantastic all the way from Jay the driver from ship port to the encounter. The 3 lovely ladies Michelle, Kacie, and Genevieve who worked the tour/boat were fantastic . Everyone was very informative and helpful and truly made the trip a delight!

Every staff member at Alaska Tales that I encountered was friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely care about their city and their wildlife. I was on their very last tour of the season couldn’t have been happier with the experience! We didn’t have to go far to see a pod of 3 whales. The captain did a great job getting us close but not too close.

Our guides Kacie, Genevieve, are very friendly, eager, knowledgable and enthusiastic. They guarantee you to see whales and we saw 4 total. One was a mother and her calf, exciting. My husband and I had a great time. Highly recommend Alaskan Tales whale watching company.

We had a great time during the tour. We saw probably 5 - 8 whales. The guides said some of the whales we saw weren't normally there. The weather held and Delton, Katie and Nate were excellent guides with incredible knowledge of the whales and their environment!! Kudos to them and Alaska Tales!!!

First time to take on this adventure to find hump backed whale ....great experience as the 3 crews Captain Delton, crew members Kacie and Nate are experienced, knowledgeable and very entertaining. We saw the whales immediately arriving the destination and was greeted with air blowing whales showing their tails. VERY EXCITING.

We got to see several whales and porpoises! The guides James, Will, and Ash were all very knowledgeable and you can just tell how much they love the whales! You also get to see really pretty views on the ride.

The tour guaranteed whale sightings and we saw whales! Fortunately for the whales (for unfortunately for us), they weren't so close, but it was still an experience to know these magnificent creatures were swimming in the same waters. The guides were knowledgeable and seemed dedicated to the safety of the whales. One of the most interesting parts was listening to the guides talk about each whales individual markings and the families they've watched grow. Though it was a drizzly gray day, the tour company stayed upbeat and entertaining throughout.

We had a great experience and saw many whales. We were really pleased with the boat condition. It had comfortable leather seats, heat, big windows, and plenty of room to move about. We loved the lady crew, Krichelle, Genevieve and Monica. They were very knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. We always felt safe and were given all the safety instructions. Whales, whales everywhere! We seen several whales on this excursion. They even came right up to our boat, which we were not expecting them to be that close. The staff was awesome, from our bus driver to the boat Captain and all the people in between that made this tour a wonderful time, we thank you so much! We booked this tour outside of our ships excursion list and were not disappointed. Morgan, Nate and Captain (sorry I don’t remember his name) of the Ramsey were awesome! They took us to sea to find whales, and we found them! We were able to see Humpbacks and actually got to see a group of Orcas feeding! It was a great excursion, and the crew were amazing! Thanks for the experience

What a fun day experience! The bus driver to the boat was very friendly, informative, and had funny jokes along with great information on the way. In the boat ride, our crew was amazing! Kacie provided lots of great information about the wildlife. Greg was a great captain, as it was and easy ride. Ash was funny and they all made sure we saw whales, they even know their names! WOW! Even stories about their migrations. Highly recommend. Great price, great experience, great time!

I traveled to see the whales with Alaska tales on the rameses with Nate, Morgan, and James. We saw lots of whales, babies, and I was impressed with the quality of the information provided by the staff, their passion of stewardship, and the pilots knowledge of where to find the whales while still maintaining a safe distance to avoid stressing the animals. There were snacks, water and a bathroom on the boat. There was a covered enclosed area to get out of the rain. The bus driver was also very nice and had interesting facts about Alaska and nature- he also let us slow to take a quick pic of mendenhall as we picked up other travelers. 10/10 would recommend.

Great experience! Our naturalist Rylee and captain Kyle were phenomenal, made it clear how much they cared for the animals, and did everything in their power to make it as great of an experience as possible. All together we believe we saw 8 whales, including 2 calves and we were lucky to see one of the younger whales breach on our way back. Highly recommended!
