Ford, Nate, and Chriss...
Ford, Nate, and Chriss were absolutely spectacular! I was a solo traveller at the end of the season yet we had such an amazing time. We saw orcas, a whale and her calf. The crew was funny, educative, caring and so informative. I can’t wait to be back on a better season, will definitely be sailing with them

Second Time was Even Better
This was our second time choosing Harv and Marv for whale watching in Juneau. It was even better this time. Although a previous storm had caused the whales to disappear from their usual spot, our tour guide knew where they now were. We saw over 30 whales. It was so exciting. If we come back to Juneau for a third time, we will book Harv and Marv again. Great excursion.

Chicago watching Whales
This experience was superb! The Capitan and his first mate were wonderful and knowledgeable and we got to see whales! I am very happy with the privateness of this whale watching. So personable. Everyone was able to be on the outside of the boat and get great pics. The Capitan made several stops looking for whales, we saw one at every spot. Nothing was left out! ALL 14 OF US LOVED IT.

What a wonderful day we...
What a wonderful day we had on this tour! Hats off to Kathy, Tess, Coral, and our boat's pilot (sorry I forgot his name). The boat was comfortable, the sights were spectacular, and the enthusiasm of the crew was delightful and contagious. We visited a charming lighthouse before searching for whales. We were rewarded with sights of sea otters, eagles, and plenty of whales. Mother Nature spoiled us today! The crew was so friendly and knowledgeable and eager to share their information with us. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Perhaps the most popular summer activity in Juneau, whale-watching is an absolute must for any visitor to the city. Though the fabulous creatures are here from April to November, the most splashing, breeching, and jumping happens from June to August—which just so happens to be when the sun is shining and Alaskan days are warm and long. From quick shore excursions to lengthy, private endeavors, all sorts of tours abound, which is lucky: Whale-watching in Juneau is some of the country’s best.
