This tour includes two hours on the water following the whales, and a quick 15 minute peek at the Mendenhall Glacier. It is just enough time to step off the bus, take a quick picture, and then head back downtown for the rest of your Alaska adventure! This tour is recommended for those who want to see the glacier, but don't want to spend too much time exploring the surrounding recreation area. On this tour, you will take one of the tour buses from downtown Juneau on a 20-minute, narrated tour through Juneau and Mendenhall Valley to Auke Bay. In Auke Bay you will board one of the boats and head out on a 2-hour whale watching experience. Upon returning to the harbor you will be escorted back to the bus for a quick trip inland to Mendenhall Glacier. You will have 15 minutes to get out and take a quick picture, and then get back on the bus for your next adventure in Juneau.

Alex and Chris were great. Very informative and took effort to find whales for us. We saw one whale breaching which is rare as well as a porpoise. Truly great experience would recommend highly. We booked separately from cruise and had a great experience and no issues.

Amazing Whale Watching!

From start to finish, I can't say enough positive things about this excursion! The experience started with a great bus ride with James, who showed us the sights on the way to the dock, and only got better once we were on the water with TJ and Andrew. Having a small group made a world of difference for enjoying these beautiful creatures. Plus, we never expected to see a flying squirrel! Take this trip, you will not regret it!

Amazing experience!!!

It was fabulous, the crew was great. Very knowledgeable, energetic and they were focus to give us a great experience.The captain was exceptional, always looking for all of us to have more viewings. Noah and Viteri were fun and super entertaining, they made the trip fun!

Whales and salmon, great afternoon

The guides are great at spotting whales.. we got a lot of great pix and videos. The salmon bake was real good too. We feel the price for this excursion was a bit high, and has to be essentially booked months in advance, and is non refundable, but I get the fact that this is very popular and it is what it is. All in all STILL 5 star review.. well done

5 Stars All Around!

5 stars from start to finish! Easy to find guide after leaving ship. Shuttle ride shared a lot of great information during drive. And our excursion was AMAZING! Captain Steven, Tess and Annie were fantastic. So grateful we saw not one but half a dozen whales. If we are ever back in Juneau we will take this tour again
