The guid was not informative at all.On the top of if he pushed us to the next stop so we couldn't even get the chat to listen to other guides or so.
Hidelisa_T, Jul 2026
Efficient, knowledgeable and takes care of disabled passengers. Directions on where to meet up with representative is well marked especially for seniors like us.
Sandra_T, Jul 2026
Overpriced tour. It was basically an expensive shuttle to the glacier park. There was no guide, just a bus driver who played annoying music.
Maureen_L, Jul 2026
We selected this “tour” as a means of transportation to the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau. The bus was easy to find, on time and the bus driver was most pleasant. Just understand that you are paying for a bus ride. Not a tour - insofar as there is no narration on the 25 minute (each way) trip.
Roblyn_W, Jul 2026
Great way to save the walking time to the falls and glacier if trying to fit a second excursion into your port day.
SarahJane_F, Jul 2026
Excellent tour guide. He was very knowledge and friendly, highly recommend. Great experience!!!!!!!!
Henry_O, Jul 2026
The driver, Archie was fantastic with great knowledge of the local area. He gave the group on the bus a great presentation of the area to and from the Mendenhall Glacier park. His instruction for pick up were also clear.

The hike out to the waterfall is a must for this tour. My teenage grandsons loved it. Since we only got to see Dawes Glacier on the cruise ship it is nice being able to see Mendenhall as well.
Robin_W, Jul 2026
Easy hike to the waterfall. Beautiful area. Highly recommend! Visitors center very informative. It was great to get off the ship and out into Alaskas beautiful wilderness.
Sharon_F, Jul 2026
If you can't walk a 45 min trail this is not for you. Very nice guy drops you off at the Glacier area leaves you there for 2hrs. Way too much time in my mind for this. Very busy area. Take a Taxi for 45 dollars to and from maybe less . But I'm sure if you want to walk to waterfall its wonderful still 2 hrs is alot no guide just pick up and drop off

Essentially, this is a bus ride too and from the park. Our driver, Archie, was hilarious and also provided a lot of great information about the area and the glacier.
Two hours is plenty of time to hike to the falls and back and go to the visitors center.

Really wonderful experience and the driver was hilarious! Made for a fun trip and the views are well worth it!
Bryan_V, Jul 2026
Easy ride with Archie at the wheel. The walk to Nugget Falls is worth the effort. Recommend highly…..
Nick_D, Jul 2026
Quick and easy from the cruise dock to the glacier area. Archie the bus driver is absolutely a rock star. Great sense of humor and “dad jokes” coupled with his knowledge of the area and guided explanation made it great.
Jill_F, Jul 2026
great tour guide! easy trip, comfortable coach, perfect length of time to visit site, good drop off- pick up location
Michael_R, Jul 2026
Lexi was our tour guide/driver to Mendenhall and she was an absolute blast!!! Her sincere love for all things Alaska was on display and you could hear it in her voice. Very informative, very entertaining.
Amy_R, Jul 2026
This is simply a ride to the National park where you can hike to the waterfall and see the glacier off in the distance and visit the ranger station. If you keep that in mind you will love the experience. If you are looking to experience what the website shows/hints at you may be disappointed. The falls and the scenery are great. Hint: want a great photo of the falls and the glacier make your way up to the ranger station. Our driver was foll of information on the area and kept us entertained both ways.

Definitely recommend tour. Directions on where to meet tour was easy to find once we were off ship. Kenny our driver was funny and informative of the area. Definitely appreciate Kenny pointing out wildlife as he drove us to Glacier. We got to see a bear and eagles on the way. Once we you get to the Glacier we had two hours to explore on our own (tour guides aren't allowed to do tours in the park) so this was great as we got to move around on our own speed. Walk to the water fall is about 20 minutes there and back and easy walk.
As I mentioned earlier, Kenny was very knowledgeable about the area as he is a local that lives there year round so appreciated his candor and the jokes.

Great trip! Driver gave us a little tour, and interesting info about the area. Loved Aiden! He was fantastic! Glacier and waterfall were beautiful.
Thomas_H, Jul 2026
Driver was excellent. He gave us alot of info on Juneau! I would recommend it, a good trip and had plenty of time to explore the glacier.
Sandra_G, Jul 2026
Archie was a great guide. Helped us feel welcome, informed & safe. Loved finding the short hike from visitor's center to
Parking lot.

I was visiting Juneau (and Alaska) for the first time ever and had a fairly wide-open schedule, so I was looking for something to do on short notice. I booked this primarily because the destination (Mendenhall Glacier) was not reachable by public transit or foot. I felt like this experience was mainly set up for cruise ship passengers, but even as an independent traveller, the logistics of it were set up fairly conveniently. I was able to get a same-day booking, and I got clear instructions on where to check in. I was running just a few minutes behind and even got a courtesy phone call to ensure that I was on my way. Thanks to this experience, I was able to explore the visitor center and some of the trails at Mendenhall. Two hours was a decent length of time between the drop-off and pickup, though if I did it again I might take and earlier bus and return on a later one. What really sealed the deal, though, was our driver. Kenny Knapp is a fascinating fellow (check out his website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) who made what might've been routine and mundane transportation a fun and entertaining experience. He pointed out various buildings, points of interest, wildlife (we saw one bear and at least dozens of bald eagles), etc. along the way, giving local, cultural, and historical context. He had a great sense of humour (I thought I was a pro at cracking lame jokes, puns, and wordplays, but he might just have topped me), keen wit, and an air of showmanship (which makes sense given that he's a musician and performer; we even got to hear some of his songs on the PA). Glad I was able to check this off my list for my Juneau visit, and I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to visit the glacier but doesn't already or otherwise have transportation arranged.

The views were amazing. Loved it. The waterfall was spectacular. Loved walking around the park. Would go back again
CHARLES_C, Jul 2026
It’s basically transportation from downtown Juneau and back. Might be cheaper transportation by trolley or city buses. You have 2 hours on your on at Glacier.
Robert_C, Jun 2026
Great Tour!! They do a great job of stopping at viewpoints all along the way. Giving everyone gets off and are able to take great photos with family and friends. The bus was comfortable and our tour guide Dave was not only firing off great info but he was quite funny also, and kept us entertained throughout. The views are spectacular and the suspension bridge is really cool. I was so happy we took this tour instead of the train, especially when i saw the line for the train. The train doesnt stop, you are stuck on that thing, your opportunity to take quality pics while moving isnt good and forget about getting any family members in the photos.

It was a hefty walk for an hour and a half to get to nugget falls and the photo point.
Kenny was a great driver and entertainer for the bus ride to the glacier. Everything was timely.
Tanya_L, Jun 2026
Our tour guide/bus driver, Kenny, was very knowledgeable about Juneau and made our experience very enjoyable. He provided a mix of dad jokes, personal anecdotes, and history about Juneau. Would highly recommend if you plan on making a trip to Juneau!
Houston_R, Jun 2026
Enjoyed the driver very much. Local guy with great knowledge of the area and good humor. The park was clean and very informative.
Tyler_T, Jun 2026
The shuttle driver was absolutely amazing. She was friendly and funny and super informative. Very memorable! Nugget falls is an absolute must.
Ryan_K, Jun 2026
Simple bus ride to the park. Driver fun and gave info on way out. Easy and confinement though you can probably get to the park on your own for less and not be on a schedule if you would like to hike some of the longer trails.
