Archie, our bus driver, was great! Very informative and funny. Bus was comfortable. It drops you off about 2 blocks from the entrance.

Our driver Alicia was a Juneau native and provided us with lots of info during our dirve to and from the Mendenhall Glacier & Nugget Falls. She pointed out bald eagles and bears! The Glacier view was not as exciting for us as the Nugget falls, so defintely worth the 20 min walk along the gravel path. If you go at the end of the day, the restrooms close as does the indoor viewing station.

This tour was so much fun. We did a scenic tour of the town and the hit the wilderness. Tim our tour guide was very informative as well as a lot of fun and a fantastic photographer.

Started with a ride through Juneau and our driver was very informative. We got to spend 2 hours at the glacier, plenty of time to hike to the falls.

Tour guide (mainly a driver taking us from the cruise ship to the glacier area) was enthusiastic which couldn’t be faulted. He was also informative pointing out relevant sites on the way.
But our issues were about the main point of the tour - the glacier. The view from afar and trail to get close to the glacier and the waterfall and the glacier itself were very good, our main concern was that we had 2hrs off the bus and the viewing / trail took just over an hour for this. After that the visitor centre was cramped, too full and not a lot to see. There wasn’t a coffee shop as was a concern for bears apparently. This left us with about 45mins twiddling our thumbs with nothing else to do. So we stood in a bus shelter waiting.

This excursion with M and M tours was fantastic the Medenhall glacier and nugget falls have fantastic views for photo opportunities and a lovely trail walk, Archie our driver was such a great knowledgeable funny guy we could of listened to him all day.

Great tour guide named Archie, very funny and informative. Great communication with company, we were able to find them right away in a sea of other tours going on at the same time. Mendenhall Glacier is a must do in Juneau for sure!
Reason for the 4 stars is we felt rushed with the allotted time and this tour felt a bit overpriced. You can see Mendenhall Glacier via taxi and buy your own ticket on site at a faction of what this tour is charging.

This was almost a stressful because the ship was a hour behind. We notified M & M Tours of Juneau and they rescheduled our appointment. The driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The glacier was amazing. We would highly recommend using M & M Tours of Juneau and we would highly recommend looking at the glacier with binoculars

The walk out to the waterfall is longer than the signs say it is, possibly double the distance. But worth the effort if you can manage it. What was really disappointing was on returning to the visitors centre there were no seats or coffee available to purchase.

The trail signage at Mendenhall Glacier is managed by the U.S. Forest Service, and the posted distances are generally listed as one way rather than roundtrip, which can sometimes make the hike feel longer than expected.
While our Glacier Express tour provides transportation service to and from the glacier, amenities at the visitor center such as seating and food service are managed separately by the glacier facilities themselves. Food options can also occasionally be limited due to wildlife and bear safety protocols in the area.

Once we got to the visitors centre the race was on but still enjoyed the experience. The tour left half an hour late and that put the pressure on some of the other travelers, we were told to be at the pick up point on time which we all were. Guess what? Bus was half an hour late. Maybe use a local public transport bus for a few bucks or uber. This tour company let us down, please do better

We used Viator to book this excursion the day before the excursion. We waited until last minute due to caution for foggy weather that would have obscured the views. We didn't have a printer on the ship, but the downloaded tickets on our phones worked fine. M&M Tours was the local tour outfit that Viator used. The tour was easy to find, super polite people, organized. Archie was our bus driver to and from; a native from Juneau, who was knowledgeable, entertaining and informative. A small visitor center is there with a gift shop and lots of seating around the windows, plus informative displays. Most of our time was spend walking to Nugget Falls, about a 25 minute hike in and then again back. First week of May, there was still slush and some ice on the flat trail. There were some walking sticks along the door to visitor's center and I would have borrowed one to feel more comfortable on the slushy ice. We went to Alaska for scenery and local information, this didn't disappoint.

Great option to get to Mendenhall Glacier. Our driver was informative and entertaining. We enjoyed having 2 hours of free time to enjoy hiking to Nugget Falls and various viewpoints. We would recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful day. Our weather was perfect. So glad we booked this excursion. The hike was about 15 or 20 minutes in the snow to Nugget falls.

This was a great tour. We were picked up at the port and driven to the glacier in a very nice coach. The guide was very informative on the ride over. Once there we were free to explore on our own. It was very easy to navigate. The amount of time allotted was perfect. I highly recommend this tour.
