Overview
Set out on a whale watching adventure—and leave all the logistics to someone else. After convenient transport to Auke Bay via bus from downtown Juneau, you’ll have an easy transfer to the boat. Spend several hours with a naturalist guide spotting humpback and killer whales as well as harbor seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and black bears. Amazing tour!! I am a 15 year old girl who went on the tour with my mom and 13 y/o sister. This was truly a great experience all around and we recommend it to anyone!! The tour guide, Nia, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and she really helped make the excursion so memorable. Truthfully, she was one of the best guides I’ve had on any tour. Our captain Simon was also friendly and the two guides paired well as a team. Everything went smoothly: we were directed to our boat quickly, we were advised on how to spot the whales, and we ended up seeing both humpback whales and orcas! We were even given snacks and hot cocoa!! It was overall so entertaining and I had loads of fun. Totally recommend to everyone.

Saw some whales but law does not allow to get too close so watch quickly and be ready if your taking pics. Great staff and loved Charlie the bus driver. He was worth the trip!

That the experience is not actually thru Viator. We were confused in trying to find the corrrct pick up point in Juneau Simas we looked for a Viator sign and it was a different operator actually running the your.

We had an entertaining driver, Jerry, while we sat in traffic. Savannah and Simon, our guides on the wate,r were terrific. They had the knack of sighting whales. They were great.

Dress warm and keep your eyes on the water! Whales pop us so quickly sometimes you almost miss them. Fortunately, Captain CJ and our guide were good to let us know when whales were spotted. It was definitely a fun experience and I would gladly rebook with this company!

We did not even get to go!!! They did not convey where to meet. Their phones did not work to call them. Are waiting for money back and the company was NO help. Would like to warn everyone we can NOT to use them.

My best friend and I had a wonderful whale-watching experience. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Once we arrived at the bay, the guide took time to help everyone spot the whales and provided interesting information throughout the excursion.
Although we did not see any whales breaching or jumping out of the water, we did see a few whale tails and the spray from whales surfacing in the area. The guide did an excellent job of pointing them out and ensuring everyone had an opportunity to enjoy the experience.
The complimentary hot chocolate and snack bags were a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated. The bus ride to the bay was also enjoyable thanks to our driver and guide, who was talkative, funny, and entertaining the entire trip. His sense of humor made the ride pass quickly and added to the overall experience.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable whale-watching adventure.

Great excursion in Juneau. We loved the bus driver, William. He was very informative and gave us history of the city. The drive to the port was gorgeous. Our captain of the boat was awesome and our guide informative. We were able to see multiple whales on our excursion. Check that off of the list!! Thanks for great service!

The whales were beautiful! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to view multiple whales, even with the legal restrictions on how close you can approach a whale, the crew was able to identify certain whales by their markings. Bring a camera with good distance lenses and fast shutter, to get good pictures. I was able to obtain several decent photos with a relatively affordable camera. Water, hot chocolate, and snacks were provided.

This is a family owned company and they treat you like family. From the moment we got on board, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Captain was amazing as was the naturalist. We saw at least six whales for long periods of time. They gave us hot chocolate and coffee and a snack bag with six different items. Excellent excursion! Highly recommend.

What an incredible tour! The boat had both an indoor place to warm up and a deck for better views. We watched active orcas for about 45 minutes and the guides were knowledgeable and answered all our questions. 1000% recommend!

30 minutes on the bus out to the boat and great trip out to the open waters where we observed Humpbacks surfacing and diving to the bottom showing that iconic tail fin unique to individual whales a must and I'd do it again any day

This was the first time I ever booked with Viator. They were fantastic! Our drive picked us up when they said and was there and returned us back to our ship. The tour itself was the best. Our captain and naturalist were great. They took us out and the first thing we saw were 2 Orca whales which are rare. We then went out further where we saw several other humpbacks. One of them even breached which was fantastic! I would highly recommend recommend Viator & the whale watching excursion.

Everything about the booking was efficient and easy. The meet up and drop off spot was easy breezy! The excursion…OMG! was simply amazing. Rio, our naturalist was absolutely the best. He was knowledgeable and he seemed like he really enjoyed his job. And the Captain really knew how to navigate the waters. We seem many humpbacks and rarely seen Orcas. I would definitely recommend you book now!

It was wonderful! The captain talked with other captains and knew where the whales were. They knew the names of the whales we saw and pointed out unique features
