Overview
Segways aren’t just for sidewalks, and Alaska’s trails aren’t just for avid outdoorsmen. On this small-group tour, you’ll meet your guide, hop on a quick shuttle ride up the coast, and get fitted for your Segway wilderness adventure. Riding your way down the Nordic ski trail, you’ll zoom along—while learning about—alpine meadows, through groves of Sitka spruce and old-growth forests, and under snow-capped mountains.

We meet in front of the Mount Roberts Tramway building on the roadside, under the Goldbelt Tram cables (located at 490 S. Franklin St). Look for your guide holding a Segway Tour sign. Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your tour start time.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Should have good balance and be able to stand for 2 hours.
- For ages 14-70 (anyone over 70 should call to do a balance test)
- Guests must weigh between 100lbs and 275 lbs
- Pregnant / Expecting guests cannot participate
- Minimum 3 guests needed to operate a tour
- Should be able to balance on one foot while looking down at the foot raised in the air or 10 seconds
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

This was such a wonderful tour! We are 58 & 67 years old and had never ridden a Segway before. I was apprehensive but Alli and Serena were great teachers!! They were so kind, patient, and knowledgeable!! By the end of the tour we felt like pros. Being out in the wilderness and the fresh air was just what we needed after being on the cruise ship and around busy destinations. Alli and Serena knew so much about our surroundings shared a very interesting bear story! I would definitely take this tour again!!

Fun experience learning to ride an off road Segway. Got to see some of the scenery of eagle crest ski area and hear a few fun facts. Ally and Alta as guides were great and really tried to entertain from pint of pick up downtown
Juneau to and from.

This was my first time on a Segway and both of the tour guides made sure we were confident on how to operate it! We did go through the Tongass Forest on a gravel trail. It let us to a beautify stream and breathtaking views.

Our tour guide’s were Carly and Kyler, they were extremely nice and educated us about the plants and wildlife in Alaska. They work well with all experience levels.

Kyler and RJ were our guides and the did a great job! They were diligent in training us before we left, so we felt confident in handling the Segway. They were informative and personable and we really enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful Fish Creek and bridge and the turnaround point too.

We had the BEST time on this excursion. 1000/10 stars!!! We wanted to experience more than just shopping and this excursion did just that. Carly and Dan were excellent tour guides. You could tell that they really loved what they were doing. They were friendly, knowledgeable and were truly invested in making sure we had a good experience.
We highly recommend any tour this company has to offer. Our cruise arrived in Juneau but didn't let anyone off the ship for hours. Communication with Chris and Maddie was excellent. They were so accommodating and voluntarily moved our tour time so we wouldn't miss out. Thanks for such a great tour!

The segway tour took us through a beautiful rainforest. Alli & Phoenix did a great job of explaining our segway, surroundings, and animals. It was a great way to experience some of what Alaska has to offer.

After meeting us at our meeting point, which was super easy to get to with the provided shuttle, we were then shuttled about 20 minutes away to the ski trails. Here we were fitted for the Segway and given a quick lesson on how to use them. For a newbie on a Segway, it was slightly challenging, but a lot of fun! I'm really glad we did it, and our guide RJ taught us a lot about the local flora. We stopped a couple times to talk about the plants, and that was nice to give our feet a rest.

The pick up transportation to the Alpine wilderness Trail was easy and convenient. The experience itself was exceptional. KC our guide and instructor did a wonderful job. She’s very personable, funny and made the experience one to not forget.
They were very detailed on the operation of the Segway. It was very easy to operate after the instructions. No one in our group had a problem with the operation of the Segway.
The trails they took us on, were well groomed. The views along the way were stunning.. we stopped several times to take photos.

We were picked up exactly as described in the confirmation. We had a nice van ride during which we watched the safety video. We were the only two people booked for the excursion. We weren't too sure if this was good or bad. It turned out to be great. Mallory was our guide and she was phenomenal. She reviewed all of the safety information and was patient while we practiced. She gave us a bottle of water prior to starting the trail and a snack mid-ride. She provided a great deal of information and pointed out must see things throughout the trail ride. The weather was nice and everything was beautiful. This is a well run excursion. There wasn't a moment that we didn't like. We would highly recommend without hesitation.

Had a great time with Ollisa. Turned out it wa some two of us, so fun, personalized experience. She had great botany experience to explain what we saw.
Small mix up on the timing through Viator or their system (4pm vs 5pm), but we walked around for a bit and then joined them.

A breath of fresh air unlike any ever. The air was amazing. The scenery was fabulous. We were a family of 4 with 2 young adult children and loved our Segway tour. Everything went so smoothly from pick up at the pier to when we were dropped of. Ben and Paul were great hosts and guides. They taught us to ride, how to be safe and it was great. The brought us to a beautiful trail and we absolutely loved the natural surroundings. I would highly recommend this tour. I wished the tour itself was a bit longer but overall 5 stars. Excellent tour, guides Ben and Casey made learning and riding safe, fun and informative. Trails were nice way to see Alaska Tongass Forest. Easy pickup and return to Juneau port, with driver Jerod (sorry if I messed names).
We’re mid-60’s, easy if you can stand balanced, lean forward and back. Recommend for anyone who enjoys nature and appreciates personable guides.

Great tour! The tour guides were friendly, and went out of their way to help us. The instructors were great at teaching us how to use the segways and made sure we were all super comfortable before starting the actual tour.
