Itinerary
The best way to get from the Cruiseship port to the Mendenhall Glacier and back efficiently. With this round-trip tour you get a 30 minute narrated tour past the historic downtown, 2 hours to explore the park at your pace, the same guide brings you back to the cruise ship terminal. Pickup and drop-off points are located at the cruise ship terminal near the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. Your transfer will be confirmed instantly after making a booking. (Note to cruise-ship passengers: Please provide your ship name, docking time, and disembarkation reboarding times.)
During the 3 hour tour to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, your driver shares advice on how to explore the glacier, provides insight into Juneau history and points out well-known sites. On the return trip, listen for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat in Juneau.

This was an excellent excursion. Our trolly driver was amazing. so full of information and enthusiasm about what he was teaching us. We were with family and friends and we all loved it. The glacier park was amazing as well with a great hike and lots of amazing views.

Driver guide offered interesting background info on Juneau and what to see at Mendenhall glacier. He was funny and enjoyable. Easy pick up and return at dock area.

Viator had the best priced tickets, but for what you get. I feel it lacks value. Basically spent $300 for a bus ride. Yes the driver was friendly, and talked about the area some. But when you get to the glacier and realize the entry is $5 a person, and its not all that far from the port. You could probably of found a far more reasonable priced option of getting there. Plus you can't even get close to the glacier. If you're on a nothing bound cruise, you will see far more glaciers, and up close. Go ahead and skip this one. Beautiful area, yes. But not worth the $300.

Tour is okay but not really that much to see. You don’t really get that close to the glacier. Very expensive for what you get to see.

Shuttle bus driver was Mary. She was very nice and gave a lot of information.
The Falls was a LOOONNNNNG walk, not sure if it was worth it.

Short walk to visitor center. There is an elevator to the center. Mostly level walk to picture viewing area.

This is a great tour. Our trolly driver Wayne was so informative about Juneau and pointed out places of interest on the way to the glacier. He gave recommendations on the trails once there and on the way back to town gave reviews of the best restaurants! The glacier was beautiful the hikes to photo very easy and the waterfall hike was refreshing and the weather while cold was pleasant!

Bus ride to the Glacier is quick (~20-25”). We traveled with an 8 and 10 y.o. who enjoyed all the hiking in the Park. Strongly recommend taking the trail to the Falls; spectacular and a easy walk

You have to walk a long ways to get to the glacier. I was not aware of this. But we were able to see glacier from a distance and take good pictures

Wayne was an awesome tour guide! We learned so much about the area and Mendenhall Glacier. Wayne not only was a great tour guide but he was a very safe driver! Learned so much about the history of Juneau. Highly recommend especially if Wayne can be your guide!

The Glacier is great to see but unless you are capable of taking the long trail to get closer, there is not much to see for the two hours you are left there before the return pickup. The Visitor Center is interesting but seating is very limited to a cushioned ledge along the front window. Some water was available, nothing else. Restrooms are very available. Our day was cold and rainy which made a long wait in the crowded Visitor Center. The bus driver was on time and very friendly, even stopping the bus to show us a Momma bear with cubs just off the road.

The trolley was super convenient and always on time, and we had a blast on the ride! Our driver, Wayne, was also a wealth of knowledge, sharing great tips on which trails to explore at Mendenhall Glacier. Plus, he’s fantastic at spotting eagles, so everyone got to see them too.

This is an excellent tour with good history and geography facts about the area. Not too scientific but enough to make you appreciative of the glacier history. Hurry, because in another 5 to 10 years, this glacier will be gone.

Breathtaking! There’s nothing like the Falls! My friends and I had the best time walking through the woods to get to the Falls. The Glaciers were absolutely amazing! My photos don’t do it justice.
