Itinerary
The best way to get from the Cruiseship port to the Mendenhall Glacier and back efficiently. With this round-trip tour you get a 30 minute narrated tour past the historic downtown, 2 hours to explore the park at your pace, the same guide brings you back to the cruise ship terminal. Pickup and drop-off points are located at the cruise ship terminal near the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. Your transfer will be confirmed instantly after making a booking. (Note to cruise-ship passengers: Please provide your ship name, docking time, and disembarkation reboarding times.)
During the 3 hour tour to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, your driver shares advice on how to explore the glacier, provides insight into Juneau history and points out well-known sites. On the return trip, listen for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat in Juneau.

This was an excellent excursion. Our trolly driver was amazing. so full of information and enthusiasm about what he was teaching us. We were with family and friends and we all loved it. The glacier park was amazing as well with a great hike and lots of amazing views.

Find the trolley departure spot well in advance. I walked the wrong way and by the time we realized and got to the trolley stop, it was gone. We did not get to go. We ran around wildly looking for the company. There was no one to call. The other vendors had no idea who we were looking for. They kept asking for our tickets, which I could not view on my phone; the page would not open. I was not able to create a printed ticket. Catastrophe for us.

Very expensive bus trip to a free entry national park with a glacier.

We really enjoyed this tour. Troy was a terrific guide who was extremely knowledgeable and a great guide. We learned about Juneau on the way to and from Mendenhall Glacier.
We were dropped off and given 2.5 hours on our own to walk out to the Glacier and Nugget Falls. Do not miss out on Nugget Falls if you make the trip! There is also a path that you can view both form the same spot. Absolutely beautiful!
We would recommend and hope you get Troy as your guide. He's awesome!

Convenient, comfortable, and well organized way to get to Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. Our guide Joey did a wonderful job. There was plenty of time to hike to Nugget Falls, look around, get pictures, etc. We did not feel rushed.

This is basically just transportation to and from the park. No “tour”. Save yourself alot of money and use uber or Lyft

We enjoyed the excursion to the Glacier and visitor center and the trails were we saw an adolescent bear eating salmon on the side of the river!

Meet location is in front of the Tram building, just look for the person holding the sign.
Bus ride is great with knowledgeable local drivers.

The glacier is beautiful, the visitors center is interesting. We had several people with mobility problems and we were able to take 2 of the 3 paths.
The trolley is just transportation to the area, they leave you there and come back 3 hours later.

Have your hiking shoes on. It was an adventurous excursion with a lot to see. The falls were magnificent and there were many photo opportunities.

Awesome tour bus driver..a wealth of information and history.. also a great sense of humor.
The glacier experience was awesome and beautiful. The salmon run in the creek was an added bonus feature.

A bit of a walk the bus ride takes your u to entrance and you then walk to entrance about 2 block fairly easy

Great and quick shuttle ride to mendenhall glacier. Be prepared for some walking but trails are mostly paved (ish) and easy. Nugget waterfall is about a 45 minute walk and beautiful. Dave our driver was great! Great and easy way to go see some sights

Be aware of the weather. It was a warm day in August and we wore shorts and t-shirt. We brought too many cold weather clothes.
The water fall was awesome getting that close to it. Be aware of the glacier flush that happens late summer and closes down the Glacier Park.

The tour guide Troy was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the area since he had lived there for many years. It was nice traveling with a smaller group in the trolley to the glacier versus a bus. We were fortunate to have a clear sunny day at the glacier and had plenty of time to explore the area.

I was here in 2006 and the glacier looked like your picture. It does not look like that anymore brought me to tears to see how far it has melted. There were no car sized icebergs floating in the water. SO SADDENED!!

It is indeed retreating rapidly! We had icebergs yesterday however, because of the glacier outburst flood. It looked SO COOL!

Certainly not a tour. Basically just transportation with a LITTLE commentary on the way. Once we arrived, the glacier and environs were impressive.
