Itinerary
The best way to get from the Cruiseship port to the Mendenhall Glacier and back efficiently. With this round-trip tour you get a 30 minute narrated tour past the historic downtown, 2 hours to explore the park at your pace, the same guide brings you back to the cruise ship terminal. Pickup and drop-off points are located at the cruise ship terminal near the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. Your transfer will be confirmed instantly after making a booking. (Note to cruise-ship passengers: Please provide your ship name, docking time, and disembarkation reboarding times.)
During the 3 hour tour to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, your driver shares advice on how to explore the glacier, provides insight into Juneau history and points out well-known sites. On the return trip, listen for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat in Juneau.

This was an excellent excursion. Our trolly driver was amazing. so full of information and enthusiasm about what he was teaching us. We were with family and friends and we all loved it. The glacier park was amazing as well with a great hike and lots of amazing views.

We had difficulty locating the actual tour bus because it was not labeled as Viator since it was a third-party company. Once we found them, it was a great ride.

Troy was GREAT! The trip was wonderful. The glacier and waterfalls were spectacular. Then along came Black Bear, just letting us know we were visiting.

The trail did have some ice and slushy snow so wear good shoes.
Bring water and be prepared to do a bit of walking. The path is fairly flat so good for most ages and those with good mobility

Small local company. They are the only whale watching boat or you can walk completely around the deck. TJ and Andrew were amazing! Told us so much about we are watching our conservation, and the laws they have to follow all the companies cooperate with each other, and when they learned that there was orcas north of us, turned the boat and we raced north to find a pod of orcas and also the most beautiful scenery, along with some others that were racing away from the orcas. They had so much energy, very entertaining easy-going and I love a small boat. Would absolutely recommend this! 28 people so everybody got a spot. We watched the Long lines climb aboard the big buses and that was not us!. James drove us from the port to their dock with local tips. We saw a bear family and bald eagles along the way. Cannot say enough. You will not be disappointed.!

You will NOT walk on the actual glacier, but the surrounding are is beautiful and there is a nice trail to really big falls.

Not really an experience. Simply a ride to the park & dropped off for 2 hours. Then picked back up. Ypu are on your own for 2 hours

Sorry this wasn't what you expected. Our driver/guides give a 25 minute narrated tour about the history and geography of Juneau on the way out to the Glacier Park on our custom trolleys. Drop you right at the visitor center, then a narrated return trip. Most people prefer to enjoy the park at their own pace so they can do the Nugget Falls hike. The park provides Forest Rangers all along the way for questions and information.

I’m a little directionally challenged so it was not too easy for me to find directions. Honestly just input the address into your phone instead of mont tramway etc. It’s only like a 6-7 minute walk from the main cruise line. Troy was our driver and he was phenomenal! Highly engaging without being annoying, tons of interesting facts about Alaska and lots of useful information overall! Please bring a small bill to tip him! He doesn’t mention tips at all but he so deserves one! Great tour! The glacier speaks for itself. Please take the one mile walk to Nugget Falls. It’s worth it! Wonderful experience overall and much cheaper (almost half) then my cruise ships excursion. It’s basically a guided drive to the glacier as it’s free itself to walk the trails.

We loved this tour and the tour guide! This tour was easygoing for my parents and twin toddlers. It was well worth it for us and made our day trip in Juneau super memorable! Definitely recommend for families.

This was not a (guided) tour. The tour operator, Juneau Tours, basically just provided bus (not trolley) transportation to/from Mendenhall Glacier.

The team was super friendly - they love what they do. No complaints. But there is a VERY high likelihood it will rain during your visit. Bring all the waterproof essentials: shoes, socks, jacket, pants, poncho, dry bag, hat, umbrella. Lots of layers if it’s going to be cold.

They gave more time than necessary on a rainy day then left us behind even with empty seats on the trolly. Adaptation ≈ Zerø. Not recommended if you got kids, anyone who need assistance. Great services at nothing

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your tour. This was a unique day with extra bad weather at the very end of the season. Believe it or not we had people calling asking for LONGER at the park. So we have that challenge of not being able to meet everyone's needs. We were also the only tours available since it was the last week of the season so every seat was sold out - we are hesitant to let anyone leave earlier or later on days like this because people's seats are reserved.

The tour guide was easy to find and check in was easy. Our bus driver gave us great stories and information along the route. We had enough time at the glacier to enjoy it and hike to the falls.
