Each of our captain, naturalist and driver were great. We loved our boat - enclosed yet with an outdoor walkway around the entire boat. So you are protected from weather (be it rain or sun) and can still go outside to view wildlife. We got lucky with our weather and our sightings, and our whole family (age range 15 months to 72 years) thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend.

This experience was amazing! Both our driver and naturalist were exceptional. We were blessed to see more whales than we could count! The whales were bubble net feeding and were breaching the water constantly. We will never forget this experience. The boat was intimate with 12 guests (max 21) and was perfect! we really did “skip the crowds” Highly recommended! Five stars!

This tour company was on top of this experience from picking us up near the cruise ship and getting us out to see the whales. The naturalist, Daisy, was informative and answered all our questions. The boat driver was fun and added to the charm of the trip. We got very fortunate to see a group of humpback whales working together to eat. It was a fantastic adventure. I would highly recommend this tour and this tour company.

Exceptionally well organized trip and it provided everything we wanted as it was advertised to do. We saw many, many whales up close to the ship and captured some very special photographs. All of the staff were very informative and personable. 5 stars all around!!

From pick up to drop off this tour was amazing. Eli our bus driver was very friendly, Andrew the naturalist or first mate on board was “Awesome” as was TJ the captain. The whales put on a great show. I cannot recommend this company and its amazing staff highly enough. Thanks to you all for a perfect tour.

Great trip. We got to see screamer several whales and learn about them. One whale even "mugged" us. It was a fantastic experience. The boat has great viewing from inside or outside. It's smaller so you don't have to fight for a viewing spot.

    Awesome!

    Casie_L, Sep 2026
Fantastic time! Tj, Daisy and Eli are wonderful at what they do. Tj and daisy took us right to the action and Eli was very informative and helpful on the drive to and from the excursion. Would definitely recommend booking to anyone.

Know the area well and where to find the whales. Boat had 21 people aboard so when a whale is sighted everyone can go to that side a see the whales,

    Best Whale Watching Experience!!!!!

    Joyce_J, Sep 2026
The captain TJ and naturalist Tamara were fantastic! We had the BEST first whale watching experience! We saw 2 huge groups of whale bubble net feeding and 3 whales breech one right after each other. It was incredible! Definitely one of the highlights of our vacation that we will never forget. Would recommend this small boat excursion for anyone. If we ever make it back to Alaska will be coming back to take this tour again!

    Great Choice

    Kim_A, Sep 2026
The naturalist was full of knowledge. TJ, the boat captain has a wonderful personality and made us feel like family. We saw whales, sea lions, eagles, a star fish and lots of jelly fish. Highly recommend taking the tour!!!!

    Loved it!

Fantastic day on the boat. The weather was cruddy but we had a fabulous time. Lots of whales and info passed along from captain and naturalist (sorry I can not remember their names). Naturalist even took some pics with long lens camera that she shared with us. I passed them off as my own when I showed the kids. I was so happy that my husband was able to experience this bucket list item. It is a small operation (1 boat) and done perfectly.

Had a great time touring with TJ, Andrew, and Alan! They were all friendly, professional, and excited to share information about the area and the animals. We got to see several whales pretty close to the boat, and since we could all stand by the rail, we all got great views. The tour ran on time and met in a very convenient meeting spot from where the Eurodam docked. Highly recommend this tour.

    The seats on their boat...

    Chris_H, Sep 2026
The seats on their boat Corvus are very difficult for elderly, overweight, knee/back issues, or all the above. The seats are mounted around 3 feet above the boat deck. We needed to step upward that far while shuffling sideways to fit the narrow spacing between each seat and the seat in front on it. At first we were concerned we’d need to give up on the boat trip if we couldn’t use the seats. Nice crew and whales though.

    Amazing Experience!

We had an awesome whale watch experience with Captain TJ and crew. We saw multiple occurrences of bubble netting. We also saw Mendenhall Glacier. Great experience and highly recommend.

    Incredible experience

We had a great time, was amazing to see the whales. Guides were very informative and had a sense of humor which is always nice. TJ, Adam did a fabulous job! I would go again in a heartbeat.

    A Special Time with Whales

    Karen_W, Sep 2026
It was a fantastic day at sea. Andrew and TJ were amazing in terms of getting to see the most whales possible. They maneuvered the boat to get as close as possible and the discussion about whales and bubble netting was fascinating. It was so special to be in a small group where we could walk around and get fabulous pictures.

    Great crew and great tour!

    Beth_M, Aug 2026
This tour was the highlight of our trip. The captain and naturalist were both very knowledgeable and personable. The boat was comfortable to ride in and had plenty of room to stand outside and get a good view of the whales. Our group had 18 or 20 people and everyone got to see everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this trip again.

    Excellent!

    Mark_S, Aug 2026
Small operation (one boat) with a knowledgeable naturalist and captain. The boat has inside viewing, but most everyone spent the whole time on the walk-around deck. Saw a lot of spouts and more than a few tail sightings.

Great viewing on a purpose built catamaran.

    Daniel_C, Aug 2026
Excellent value with knowledgeable entertaining staff, limited to small numbers. Bonus was the free photos taken by the naturalist. Highly recommend this tour.

    Wonderful trip

    David_C, Aug 2026
I thoroughly enjoyed our time watching whales. We saw at least 10 different whales and a cow and calf pair. Breaching whales are rare on this excursion but I saw three and the weather was exceptional. I couldn’t have planned it any better.

A lovely little boat with a maximum of 20 people on board. Alan the captain was friendly and helpful and Tam, the whale expert was amazing. We saw lots of whales and even stopped off to see a glacier on the way back. Highly recommend

A great experience not to be missed! T.J and Tamara were so friendly and informative, we saw lots of whales and even got some photos at the end of the tour which Tamara took while we were there (with a much better camera than ours) a fantastic reminder of a very special tour. The smaller boat makes it so much more relaxed, friendly and memorable.

Don't even bother with any of the others, this is the excursion you want.

    Aaron_E, Aug 2026
Eli, Tammy, and TJ did an excellent job and made our experience wonderful. We saw so many whales and learned a lot about the whales, the town, and even about some yachts! The boat was comfortable with plenty of space to move around. We were fortunate and had a very small group (only 6 people!) which is a perk of using a smaller company like JWT. Pickup from the Carnival dock in Juneau was so easy. The walk to pickup was only a couple minutes and they were easy to find. It was also nice to get some pictures shared with us from their professional level camera! We loved our time on this excursion. It's one of the best we've ever had. If we could have stayed on the boat all day, we would have.

    Book!!!

Overall a great experience. Captain and guide were knowledgeable and friendly. This is a small business that goes out of its way to make sure you have a positive and memorable experience.

    Flakes up finale

Crew was very engaging and friendly. Worked to ensure we had the best views possible. Stayed right until the end of time to give us a Greta view of the whales fluke going down.

    Amazing!

An amazing tour! TJ and Tamara were friendly, funny, personable, and so knowledgeable! We were lucky enough to see a group of whale bubble net feeding which was amazing! The boat has inside seating but also room to stand outside all the way around the boat so you always get a good view. Tamara even took amazing and shared them all with us to have! Highly recommend!
