Bus was very nice to be transported from the town to the dock. Boat was very nice and had lots of viewing angles. We got to see around 10 different whales and some up close. The guides were very informative and friendly.

What an incredible excursion. Our naturalist, June, and Capt. Jason (I think was his name) were exceptional. Both very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see bubble net feeding by 12+ humpbacks and multiple breeches. The kids enjoyed all the snacks that were provided. The boat was in good condition and we felt safe the entire time.

We had great luck on a pretty short cruise, seeing 6 whales and 5 stellar sea lions. The captain and crew provided a steady description and got us into position to see the whales, working with the other boats.

This whale watching tour was absolutely amazing. The tour was well organized, and the staff were excellent. The bus drivers helped point out interesting things and gave a little history about Juneau to/from the boat. The boat crew clearly loved their jobs, and were eager to answer any questions. The memories from this tour are ones my family will cherish for a lifetime.

Great friendly staff! Easily transfers to and from cruise ship. Saw a ton of whales and they went out and made sure it was a great experience.

We went on this same whale watching experience 2 years ago and it was incredible as we saw both orcas and humpback whales doing bubble net feeding but this time the whales came up so close that we got pictures and videos that were beyond incredible! It was breathtaking and the crew even said it was the first experience they had had all season of bubble net feeding! Everyone in the boat was just amazed and so into the experience and we all absolutely loved it!

Bottle net feeding was awesome. The hosts were awesome. Weather was cold and wet. We took the boat call thunder cloud
Tammy_T, Aug 2026
It was the BEST whale watching I have ever seen. We saw I believe a total of 19 whales. We were close to them and two actually swam Under our boat. AMAZING!!!
Virginia_M, Aug 2026
Best experience of whole trip! We saw tons of whales! The captain T, the marine biologist Hailey was wonderful, loved her job and it showed. The asst captain was also wonderful.

Our tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. There was another 6 boats at a distance that had great views of whales whilst we kept our distance. Not sure why we didn’t go closer. We did see a few whales that came towards us. With a few raising their tails out of the water.
Longer time at glazier would have been nicer than 5 min

This tour guarantees that you’ll see a humpback whale. You may only see them from a distance, or follow their spouts. Getting really close requires the whale to decide to come close to the boat. We were lucky and saw a number of whales, all around us. There were probably 40-45 tourists on the boat, which is larger than some other, more expensive, tours. We were able to all catch a spot on a rail, and there was adequate seating under cover in case of serious rain. There were two naturalists on board, both happy to answer questions and talk about the whales. There is a marine toilet on board. They have snacks for their passengers, or just bring your own. Bring your own water bottle.

The crew is very experienced and knowledgeable regarding whales.
We saw numerous whale sightings and even a couple breeches.
The three crew members were very enthusiastic which helped us enjoy the experience even more. It was a great experience.
Jason_F, Aug 2026
Great people and you should definitely see some whales. They’re on time and give snacks and the guys are well educated about whales and the boats are nice
Eric_H, Aug 2026
The crew we had were very friendly and appeared to be very knowledgeable.
The one downside however was the weather (which they obviously can’t control). Cold and rainy. No problem inside except for one huge thing. The windows were always fogged up so it was very difficult to see anything as we made our way out to where the whales were.
But the skipper did do a good job of strategically placing our boat where the whales might come so we could get an up close look at them. There’s a limit how close a boat can approach the whales but no limit when they come to you.
Overall it was an excursion that was worth every penny!

True to life in Juneau, We had it all, rain and fog. However in made for some great whale sightings that we could hope for. We saw, breaching, diving and whales spouts shooting off everywhere. What makes this excursion nice is that all the ships in the water work together to make sure everyone can spot the whales. Our crew was exceptional, both informative and knowledgable. In a nutshell the price was right and the excursion gave us exactly what was promised.
Karen_J, Aug 2026
This was THE BEST EXCERSION we have been on in OUR ENTIRE LIVES!!!!!!!!! We were able to experience 'bubble net feeding' by a group of 15-20 wales. We knew it was exciting when our marine biologist student was speechless and giddy when he was watching this event as well. An event we will remember for a lifetime.
Brian_S, Aug 2026
Excellent. Two crew were awesome and got us to the whales. We saw over 30 whales and a bunch of sea lions.
Frank_H, Aug 2026
We had a wonderful crew, a beautiful day, and so many whales it was overwhelming. We were able to hear them underwater, with predicted surfacing, via the rare bubble net feeding.
Spectacular!
Erin_C, Aug 2026
This was an amazing whale watch! We got to see an incredibly rare sight, a group of approximately 20 humpback whales bubble net feeding and swimming by us. It was truly incredible to see. Captain Greg and his crew, Mina and Jude made sure we learned all we needed to know about the humpback whales. We also had a sea lion wave at us!
Kristin_S, Aug 2026
We lucked out and had the most amazing whale viewing ever. The humpbacks decided to bubble feed together as a pod. It was an amazing sight that I will probable never get to see again. As for the boat, it was a bit cramped on the way out. We all had to sit inside, every seat full, so no viewing.,The people at the window were spotting a few spouts, but most people couldn't see. On the way back they did let people stay up top or in the front, allowing a better ride. The guides, staff, and captain were great from the get go. I did have an issue with our bus driver over, but not sure if he was tied to the excursion itself. His name was Wilbur Slacks and he was quite rude. Others said as much to me after my interaction with him. I know my family had a great time and would not only recommend it, but do it again.
Bipwhip, Aug 2026
The whale watching trip in Juneau was fantastic! We saw the whales bubble-net feeding in five separate feedings. It was amazing!
Mike_F, Aug 2026
Captain and naturalist were professional knowledgeable and fun. We saw dozens of wales and had a great time.
papawgoat, Aug 2026
