What are people saying about Skagway

Amazing hike and float...
Amazing hike and float experience! Our guide, Owen, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire tour. We really enjoyed both the hike and the float and would absolutely take this tour again if we visit Skagway in the future.
Another big plus is that this tour company is locally owned. By booking directly with them, you’re supporting the local Skagway community, which depends heavily on tourism. It made us feel even better knowing that our money was helping support local people and businesses.
Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Skagway!

Outstanding excursion for all
Super fun and breathtakingly beautiful experience. Despite heavy fog, this trip was amazing. Such a fantastic place to see. Our tour guide Trey was so knowledgeable and funny. He shared lots of historical and scientific information in a digestible way. Our teens also found him entertaining and interesting, which if you know teens, that is a high bar to reach.

Amazing Skagway Excursion with Andrew!
We would 110% recommend this excursion to anyone stopping in Skagway! We took the Skagway Shore Excursion: White Pass Summit and Skagway City Tour, and without a doubt, Andrew made the experience truly special from beginning to end.
Andrew is one of those rare people whose personality immediately makes you feel like you're in for a great time. He honestly reminds us of Jack Black in more ways than one—funny, energetic, entertaining, talented, and just an all-around genuinely amazing guy! But behind all that personality is someone who is full of knowledge about Skagway, the Klondike Gold Rush, and the incredible history of the area. We learned so much about the town and its past that we never would have known otherwise.
The scenery alone was absolutely breathtaking. Traveling along the Klondike Highway, we experienced spectacular mountains, coastal rainforest, and sub-alpine tundra, with multiple scenic stops along the way where we could actually get out and experience it for ourselves. We saw incredible places including Brackett Wagon Road, Pitchfork Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Moore Creek Bridge, the White Pass Summit at 3,292 feet, the Welcome to Alaska sign at the U.S./Canada border, Summit Lake, the Skagway City Overlook, and the Gold Rush Cemetery. We also had amazing views of the White Pass & Yukon Route railroad.
One of the things we loved most was that we didn't just drive past the waterfalls—we actually got out and felt the freezing-cold water for ourselves! Those moments made the experience feel so much more real and memorable. We also hiked to the waterfall near the Gold Rush Cemetery, and honestly, it was just out of this world. Seeing that incredible waterfall surrounded by the beautiful scenery was one of those moments you simply have to experience in person.
One of the biggest reasons we would choose this tour over the train ride is the opportunity to stop at so many of these beautiful locations. The train has incredible views, but you don't get to pull over, get out, hike to an amazing waterfall, feel the icy water, take your time, and capture all those unforgettable landmark and landscape pictures. Andrew knows exactly where the best photo opportunities are and is an amazing cameraman, too. He helped make sure we came home with pictures and memories we will treasure.
And Andrew doesn't just give you a typical history lesson. He brings everything to life with his humor, personality, storytelling, singing, and even poetry recitations. He is also the town magician of Skagway, which somehow fits his larger-than-life personality perfectly! You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, loves his town, and truly enjoys sharing its history and beauty with the people who visit.
The free bottles of water were also a thoughtful touch and much appreciated.
If you're trying to decide between this tour and the train, we would personally choose this tour every time. You get incredible scenery, fascinating history, numerous opportunities to get out and take breathtaking photos, and most importantly, you get Andrew. He didn't just take us on a tour—he made us feel like we truly experienced Skagway.
Thank you, Andrew, for an absolutely unforgettable excursion. You are genuinely one of a kind!

5 stars for Pam
Had an excellent tour Skagway Tours & our guide Pam.
She was friendly & knowledgeable about the history of the port/town. We also managed to squeeze in loads of spots to stop off & take pictures-including waterfalls, the scenic view over Skagway & the Yukon/Alaska signs.
The suspension bridge was a great, we were fortunate enough to have excellent weather. The musher puppies were a lovely experience.

What a great experience....
What a great experience. There were 9 in our group. The guide was well informed and very nice! My family loved the bridge! The whole place was so clean and my boys loved the bison chili.
I highly recommend this if you want to do something different.

Fun fun fun
Easy, seamless, and so much fun! The pickup at the visitor center was right on time, and the instructions throughout the day were crystal clear. Every activity was incredibly well-planned, but meeting the husky puppies was the highlight of the entire tour. We had an absolute blast!

AMAZING Trip to the Klondike!! Beautiful!
We booked this excursion for Skagway when we went on our cruise to Alaska! It was absolutely amazing and the scenery was breathtaking! The tour bus was very comfortable and the driver was so much fun! He was so considerate, helpful and provided us with lots of interesting facts along the way of the history of the trip to the Klondike! Highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Skagway! Thank you for allowing me to capture these beautiful photos that we will treasure forever!!

Great experience in Skagway.
This excursion gets you away from the busy tourist filled downtown and shows you some fun things just outside the main business district. The views from above were great! The cemetery visit and walk up to the waterfall is a must if you are able to hike a little bit.

Great views and bears
Andrew gave us a great tour. We were lucky that everyone on our bus was in our group. That allowed us to stop along the side of the road and watch an adult black bear for about 15 minutes. He dropped us off in downtown Skagway and gave us directions to a few locations we wanted to visit. As a special treat Andrew sang the Alaskan State song on our way back to town. Views along the road weee awesome and we were able to stop at all picture locations we wanted to.

A Spectacular Introduction to the Yukon!
Daniel was an exceptional tour guide! This trip was absolutely spectacular. It was reasonably priced, and he took us to that 15 different stops where we got to photograph amazing scenery in the Yukonese landscape. We had a delicious lunch, which was included! Overall, this is a must do experience if you come to Skagway!

Wonderful time!
I was a little worried I would feel disappointed after learning about the train tour! However this beyond passed my expectations!
I totally am blanking on our tour guides name now but he was beyond lovely and took all our pictures at the stops! He also shared that he takes photos for the tour website or something along those lines!! He was super funny and shared semi-personal stories that kept the trip super interesting!
We visited many cool places and I had a wonder time! The bus is super comfortable and the tour guide meeting point is close to the cruise port and near a ton of shops (They even sell popcorn inside the building) so if you are early like us you don’t just have to sit around and wait! After the tour we were offered two options; Get dropped off at the cruise port or in town! We picked in town since we wanted a bite to eat and to shop around! But having both options was really nice!
If you are thinking about booking this vs the train. BOOK THIS. You can get off and have a more comfortable seat and personal guide! We visited a waterfall, a few viewing points, we could see some of the train, we even went into Canada! We visited a lookout point, a cemetery and another water fall along with a few other locations!
Thank you Skagway I hope to be back one day!
