Incredible Excursion
Absolutely incredible excursion in Skagway and a huge part of that was our guide, Drake. Truly next to none. The whole experience was so well organised from the moment we got off the ship and met our guide, which made everything feel completely stress free. The bus tour itself was amazing with multiple scenic stops along the way, including the iconic Welcome to Alaska sign, and every stop honestly felt worth it. Drake made the entire experience even better he was hilarious, so informative, full of interesting facts and stories, and he even offered to take photos for everyone which made such a difference. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had the best time possible. Could not recommend this excursion or Drake enough. Easily one of the highlights of our Alaska trip!

Skagway and Yukon tour.
My husband and had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide Mariah was excellent! She was warm and friendly, with a great knowledge of Skagway it's history and surrounding areas. Her stories brought the tour to life.. we were lucky to see a porkopine and a bear whilst driving, Mariah stopped so that all the group could take lots of photos. We were lucky and had amazing weather so we have lots of beautiful photographs to enjoy when back home. We had an amazing day it was definitely one of the highlights of our Alaska visit! :)

Love love loved it!!!!
This excursion was AMAZING!! we were there in late September/early October 2025 the weather and views were spectacular!!! We prefer doing this excursion over the white horse pass train because the train doesn’t stop. Our guide was more than informative, he offered to take our pics so we wouldn’t have to do selfies :)

Don't Miss This Experience!
This experience was my husband's and my favorite part of our trip to Alaska. The first part of the trip was on a bus, and the guide gave us information on the area and the things we passed as we drove. Once we got to the base camp area, we got on a Unimog, which was a big truck with giant tires. The rest of the ride to the dog sleds was rough, and a little scary if you were sitting on the edge, but it was fun, and the scenery was beautiful. If you like riding ATVs, it's a similar experience. When we got to the top, the dogs were already hooked up to the carts and ready to go. We got on the carts and the dogs took off, and we couldn't believe how fast they were. It was so much fun racing through the forest, and the forest itself just looks so unreal and magical. After we were done with our ride, we got to meet and pet the sled dogs, then we got back on the Unimog and rode down to a beautiful overlook where we took pictures. After looking around there for a few minutes, we finished our ride back to the base camp. At the base camp we met some retired sled dogs and learned more about the dogs and the Iditarod, which is the race the dogs are training for. Next we met the older puppies at the camp, then we got to hold the youngest puppies. After we were done we had a few minutes to look around the store and the coffee shop, then we got back on the bus and rode back to town. During the ride back, the driver gave us more information about the area and we tried to spot wildlife. I can't recommend this experience enough!
