This was a great experience! Everything was handled expertly and everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly! The whale watching was first and we saw one whale and many Orca. Great photos and we learned so much about them. The Glacier was next and it was beautiful! It was foggy but there were times of clarity for those photos. And the bus driver (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was very funny and informative about the area. All said, I would HIGHLY recommend this excursion and it was about half the price of the cruise ship's competition. We even had plenty of time after to explore Juneau.

The boat and crew of the whale watch were topnotch! The boat was comfortable. We saw whales bubble feeding more than once! The iteniary Viator shared did not align with the schedule of the company, therefore, we had a shortened time at the glacier and missed the visitor center because it was closed when we arrived. There is no Skagway tour included, more just a driver pointing things out between points. We were issued a partial refund for this, which was fine as we loved the whale watch. In general, confirm the iteniary you paid for as soon as you check in on a tour. If you paid for something and you don't get it or it's not part of the vendor's plan, ask for a refund. All in all...good experience!

Wonderful experience actually seeing whales beautiful surroundings. Wormley recomend. On time back to ship

The owner is cheating his bus driver and passengers. According to the driver, the air conditioner in the bus hasn’t work for quite some time. Bring from Texas, I’m used to heat, but a hot bus with no airflow was not worth the trip.

Efficient and informative tour! Loved it. We saw many whales and were impressed by the small touches.

It was great saw 25 whales. The crew was very nice. Recommend you go in the morning.
The crew were very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to see the whales.

It would have been helpful to know where in Juneau we were to get the tour. I had no idea where to go. I thought there would be signs. Yes there were signs, maybe a hundred different tour groups wanting our business. I did not know that this was through M and M tour til we asked someone and we were told where to go. There were other people that had the same problem as us.

Glacier is a lot of walking. Enjoy the views, bring your binoculars. Go to the observation deck and watch the movie.

Naturalist on board the boat. Good snacks and hot chocolate. They know the whales by tail. Wonderful 👍

Excellent experience. We met the bus driver a short distance from the pier and were dropped off at the Mendenhall glacier. If you hurry you can hike up to the nugget falls which are spectacular. It would be good to add a little time to this stop because the falls are about a 45 min to an hour round trip. The whale watching was the highlight of the trip. Savannah our guide was awesome. Not only did she and Jay (our captain) go over safety details and take us really up close to the whales, they had hot chocolate and snacks on the boat as well. Savannah is very well informed about the whales, their behavior and life cycle. The boat was neat and tidy. There is a rest room on board as well. Overall highly recommended!

Drivers are very knowledgeable about the area and history. At the glacier best to skip the visitor center and focus on the hikes and glacier, the area is beautiful. The whale watching was outstanding.

The whale watching tour was the absolute highlight of our trip! Captain Austin and his crewmates, Savanah and Libby, were everything we could have wished for and more. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Thanks to their deep knowledge of the local waters, we saw an incredible number of whales and seals throughout the tour. They provided great commentary, kept everyone comfortable, and made the whole trip unforgettable. We couldn't recommend them more! A++++++!

I love the smaller tours owned and operated by locals. This one does not disappoint. Very knowledgeable and interesting. We saw a family of 4 Orca and 3 or 4 Humpbacks! Snacks, coffee, hot chocolate and water as well. We were given plenty of time at Mendenhall Glacier to see and do.

Amazing whale watching tour!!! the whales didn’t come up to us, but with binoculars, you had a great view. phones with a great zoom also did the trick. staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. Super supportive caring and help us when my son got seasick. thank you and would absolutely recommend!!!

This was a great excursion! The whale watching guide was extremely knowledgeable. We had great success in seeing whales breaching the surface and we got to see them feeding. We also saw many Bald Eagles just on the bus ride. Unfortunately our Mendenhall Glacier visit got cut short due to an annual flooding event, but there was nothing that could have been done differently. Safety first.

Crew and drivers friendly. Good naturalist on the ship. Timed things well. Saw many whales. Mendenhall Glacier itself was very disappointing. Basically a large mound of dirty snow in the distance. Not worth going there for that. But we did see a black bear for about 10 seconds.

Overall very good experience seen whales captain a good job making sure we saw plenty of whales on our boat

All the staff were fantastic and Jake the driver, was especially entertaining! Libby was an excellent guide for the whale watching and we did see about 10 whales!! Mendenhall Glacier was awe inspiring and breathtaking! A perfect day! Highly recommend Dolphin Jet tours!!

Wow! What a great excursion. This excursion has modest walking and hiking. Maybe 5 minutes from cruise ship to meet up spot. We were blessed with seeing humpback whales bubble feeding, fluke sightings, spouts from breathing, and even many breaching. We were told 5% of yours see a breach. We didn’t get any rain and saw multiple breaching humpback whales. We didn’t see otters, seals, bears, or other whale types from the boat. While driving back from Mendenhall glacier we spotted a black bear in the water!

Bus drivers, boat captain, and naturist were all super friendly and informative. We saw so many whales and had an absolute blast.

This excursion was incredible- Kyla and our captain were knowledgeable, funny and hospitable. They took us in an amazing journey to the whales and we got an incredible show with five humpbacks and a host of sea lions. The bus to and from the marina and the glacier was easy to navigate, and informative as well. We had an incredible day and would certainly book with them again.

Amazing experience with the tour. Saw a bunch of whales. The staff explained the details and were very patience.

Whale watching with Dr. Dan & Captain Jay was a highlight of our Alaskan land cruise! Dr. Dan is a professor at a local university. He shared his knowledge of humpback whales with passion and enthusiasm.
Dana_S, Jul 2026
This was such a wonderful experience. We had such a great time. Our tour guide and boat driver were amazing.
Lauren_P, Jul 2026
Wow, what an adventure! We took a bus to the whale watching dock and to the glacier area with a bus driver named Rita who was kind and funny. She shared some interesting facts about Juneau on our way there, including how the city came to be named.
The whale watching tour was spectacular. Many of these tours guarantee whale sightings and we sure saw some whales - probably at least 3-5, with one coming within a hundred feet of the boat! We also got lucky and saw a pod of orcas. They provide you free snacks on the boat too. Thanks to Jay and Jade for making it such a fantastic ride!
Then we went to see the glacier. This part is self-guided and you have ~1 hour to explore. They drop you off next to the Visitor Center and then you can hike some trails if you’d like. Heads up - to hike any of the trails, you have to pay $5 per person, which I don’t think is included in this ticket price. We unfortunately didn’t have time to do the hike to Nugget Falls, and it also was rainy/foggy, so we couldn’t really see the glacier either 😭 a little disappointing, but still beautiful.
Nothing short of magical, and worth the $!

What a wonderful experience! This company has an outstanding reputation, and after our tour, it’s easy to see why. Our naturalist, Libby, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to engage with each group, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Our captain was fantastic as well—I only wish I could remember his name!
Transportation to and from the glacier was safe, reliable, and well organized. Everything ran smoothly, and we made it back to our cruise ship with plenty of time to spare. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable glacier experience!
DenniKay_S, Jul 2026
The mendenhall glacier and waterfall part of this trip is not guided. The bus pulls up, you get out and roam on your own, then hard the bus back to ship an hour later. Whale watching was fun and comfortable.
Joseph_M, Jul 2026
Excellent experience! The staff was fun and helpful. We saw a ton of whales and even learned all of their names! Would recommend this tour 1000%
