What are people saying about Juneau

This is big bang for your buck, get picture opportunities!
In this 90+ minute tour you get a good overview of the city and three amazing photo and area experiences. The first leg takes you past the airport and our group got to see literally hundreds of eagles feeding on salmon in the river and sitting in the wetlands. The first stop is a viewpoint where you can see the Mendenhall glacier and get pictures. There were wildflowers and the river is within walking distance for more photo opportunities. Next you trace your steps to the bridge to Douglas so no matter what side of the bus you are on you get to see the Eagles and waterways etc. The Douglass overlook platform gives you a view of the city and the Cruise ship docks. There are several platform areas. The last stop is the lifesized bronze humpback whale fountain. Another incredible stop. We were given a snack of gift each stop. On the way back into town we were given wonderful tips about what to do with our remaining time. Well worth the money, you can’t do this on foot and a car is $260+ for a rental. Jay the guide went above and beyond for us!

Best Kayaking Tour in Juneau
This experience was phenomenal! The views were breathtaking and pickup/drop off easy. Above all, the customer service was amazing though! Jake was our tour guide and was super kind and helpful and his positive energy and tips about the area added to our experience. Overall, this was our favorite experience in Juneau and we had gone whale watching the day previously. Would highly recommend this experience!

Best experience! Puppies, suspension bridge & more
So great! I had my 9 month old and my 8 year old and it was awesome for everyone. They gave some education, you got to hold puppies! The driver on the way up was an awesome tour guide. They served hot chocolate by the fire before we left. No water/power so use the bathroom before you go.

This was a very fun tour!...
This was a very fun tour! The guide was great and very knowledgeable. He made it fun and we all got some gold we got to keep in a little bottle, a great souvenir! We got a little tour of the city and heard some funny stories then on to the salmon bake. It was set up really nice with lights and music and a buffet of food and yes delicious salmon. Even had beer and wine for purchase. After we ate we walked down the path to the river and waterfall. It was breathtaking and lit up just as nicely and you could even panhandle for more gold if you wished. I would definitely recommend this tour!

10/10 experience for anyone looking to earn their views of Mendenhall glacier
This was the best activity we did in Alaska - it was extremely rewarding and we'd do it again without a second thought if we were visiting Juneau again. We got lucky with great weather for the paddle and the hike to the glacier face, giving us great conditions and visibility for the entire experience. The paddle across the lake was mildly challenging but nothing excessive for someone with a good level of upper body fitness, just enough to make you feel like you've earned the close up views of the glacier face. Our guides, Cortland and Joe, were brilliant - they really made the experience shine with their light-hearted approach, and from the way they ran the trip it was clear they are both extremely professional and love sharing the wilderness experience with guests. 10/10: we'd come back for their dad jokes and canoe pep talks any time.

Perfect Tour
David was a phenomenal tour guide! He took us all over and answered a myriad of questions about the area we needed to know for a novel we’re working on. He was so patient with our grandson too and showed us things specific to our needs. I highly recommend this tour company and guide!

Great experience!
A little bit of everything! We enjoyed the time on our own to explore and hike the glacier area, including an amazing waterfall. And the whale watching was amazing. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and the boat was very comfortable. Not a bad view from anywhere on the boat. And yes, we saw whales! And eagles! And Stellar Sea Lions.
The salmon bake, along the Salmon Creek, was amazing food. There was also salmon in the salmon creek! And a waterfall. The musician playing while you ate and then explore was a nice touch and appreciated. There was even a marshmallow roasting station.
The transportation drivers were friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed at every stop. We were fat and happy and tired out by the end of the excursion.

Great timing to do two trials outside of a cruise excursion
It was a good amount of time to do both the Nugget trail and the photo trail. I did this with a multigenerational group. The nugget trail is a little more than an hour, out and back. The photo trail best for the older crowd and is only 15 mins. Visitor center closes at 6. So unfortunately I didn’t have enough time

Nice way to spend an afternoon in Juneau
What a nice way to spend a late afternoon in Juneau. Went to several craft breweries and had a flight of beers. Devils Club, Forbidden Peak and Alaskan Breweries. All the beers were good and we had time to enjoy another if we found one we liked. Cathy was our guide and she was patient and took us to some spots for quality pictures of Mendenhall Glacier. The tour definitely avoids the crowds.

Whales! Woohoo!!!
Dress warm and keep your eyes on the water! Whales pop us so quickly sometimes you almost miss them. Fortunately, Captain CJ and our guide were good to let us know when whales were spotted. It was definitely a fun experience and I would gladly rebook with this company!

Excellent trip. Crew was...
Excellent trip. Crew was extremely knowledgeable. Saw single whales and mother and calf. Tracy’s crab was good. Viators voucher is your ticket for red crab combo. Everything was very good. If you’re on a cruise, take this tour. Cheaper and much better then you can get on the cruise ship.

First time rafting - great
Great time - Jamie was a great rafter and she looked after us really well. First time I have done it and really enjoyed it. The river was running fast after the recent and current rain. It was a shame the weather at the start meant the view of the glacier was not as good as it should have been.
Would recommend and would say book it online and not through the cruise line as far better value and the money goes to the local firm. I read poor reviews but they were spot on turned up exactly where they said and people who booked on the ship and paid a lot more were on the same trip.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Thanks to its rugged surroundings, Juneau is essentially an island city with no roads in or out. That makes bus tours in Juneau the way to go—allowing you to skip the hassles of a rental car. You’ll get to sit back and relax as your guide shows you the city’s best sites, from the historic downtown to the edges of a real-life glacier.
