What are people saying about Boston

Dana was awesome!
Dana was my tour guide, and they provided such an informed and comprehensive history of African American and Boston Brahmin history on Beacon Hill and beyond while also being a great human! I would recommend this tour to any travelers to Boston, as I was not aware of the influence Black Bostonians had on the Civil War and society in America.

Excellent experience
It was a wonderful experience; being able to enter and see those mansions was impressive. The city of Newport is beautiful and has an excellent culinary scene. Our guide, Leo, was very professional and punctual throughout the tour. We highly recommend this tour.

Fun, educational and custom tailored for us
I’ve been on numerous group tours, but this was our first private tour as a couple. We loved that it was tailored to our interests and not your typical group tour that tries to cater to everyone’s interests. Our guide, Curtis, is very knowledgeable on history of the area and we learned a lot while getting not only historical information but asking the questions we wanted to know. It was a great tour and a wonderful addition to our trip!

Great day trip from Boston!
Perfect day trip from Boston. Lots of stops to experience nature, very short family friendly trails, and scenic lookouts. Got some great photos! Our tour guide, Matt, was wonderful! They make sure to say not a lot of RR stop options along the way, but there were several coming and going, and it was plenty. It's was a great, comfortable trip that I'd recommend to anyone!

New England Tour and Timmy the Diver
Tim was our driver. He was fenominal! He gave us history as we drove along and was extremely friendly and personable. He was accommodating to all and never seemed frazzled even when 4 out of our group went to the wrong place to get picked up. I would highly recommend New England Tours and ask for your driver to be Tim. Wonderul experience!!!

Perfect day tour of Boston from insiders view
Wonderful history lesson about the American independence. Had a great trip learning about several facts of the revolutionary war with our wonderful walking encyclopedia Stewie our guide. He showed us all the important places in Boston. He was very detailed and was gracious enough to drop us off at our hotel which was little bit far from Boston. We have no hesitation whatsoever and recommending this trip, especially with our guide Stewie

It was a private tour and...
It was a private tour and Marybeth was excellent and met on all our requests above and beyond. We went passed Harvard university and MIT…heard many stories about the campus and the Great Dom Hack about Harvard’s plank. We drove by Italian town and Chinatown. Ate at the famous Cheers and was delicious. We had a non walking tour as requested…mainly drove around town.

Perfect day in Newport RI
Tim the Tour Guide was great! Besides driving all day he was an entertaining guide. Very informative and very helpful. The weather was fantastic so the cliff walk was amazing and viewing the Breakers, the Marble House and the International Tennis Hall of Fame was very stress free because the tours were self guided and you could go at your own pace. I highly recommend.

The Vineyard
The trip was two parts, first a large van ride from Boston to Wood Hole, where we caught a ferry to the island. Once there you have the choice to tour the island on your own or join a second large van that takes you around the island. This is what we did. The tour was informative, but you don’t stop anywhere for an extended period of time. ( 2- 15 minute stops). Then you return to the ferry port, Oak Bluff, where we had lunch.

Relax and Enjoy New England Scenery
Sit back - relax and enjoy New England. This was a wonderful driving tour from Boston to Kennebunkport Maine. Matt picked us up at our hotel in a van with large windows - perfect to get a great view. The first part of the tour is the scenic routes, up the coast to Maine. This trip is more about the journey than the destination with history mixed in. The Lobster Experience (optional) was engaging for the children. I'm still searching for the elusive all you can eat fresh lobster dinner.

Enjoyable tour well worth doing
Excellent guide/driver Chris gave very informative commentaries. Stops were the right length except we would have liked more free time in Plymouth as there is a lot to see in the town and less time at the Plantation. The Plantation is well worth seeing but everyone was back at the bus ready to go 20 minutes early. This is not a complaint. Others may think differently and it is not easy for the organiser to balance the timing.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
There’s no doubt that there’s a lot to do, see, and learn in Boston, but its prime New England location also makes it the ideal base for adventures beyond the city limits. Boston day trips let you hop over to Martha’s Vineyard, explore Salem’s spooky past, see Newport’s gilded mansions, chase fall foliage in New Hampshire’s White Mountains—or even head to New York for the day. With transportation and tickets taken care of, plus guides who know all the local stories leading the way, you might be surprised at how much you can pack into a day and still be back in Boston by nightfall.
