The hop on hop off bus is a super way to get around the city easily. Lots of stops and info from the driver along the way. And no worrying about parking. We didn’t wait long for any bus and we had a very enjoyable day seeing Boston. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice staff. Easy to find the location and get started. Every personality was different, knowledgeable and wonderful but Sally was the best! She was hysterical! We learned a lot. The hop on and off was perfect especially on a beautiful day!

Boston Hop on Hop Off Trolley

Lisa_L, Jul 2026
We were not happy with the Hop on Hop Off trolley experience. We waited at a sop for 50 minutes for a trolley that never came. We had to take a taxi to our first stop, Faneuil Hall. We got on the trolley there. After visiting the USS Constitution we waited 20 minutes in the sun for a trolley, and when it came, there was only room for a few people. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the next trolley.

Enjoy this tour upon your arrival for a great introduction to the city! Three different guides and they were all informative in different personalities!

Don’t miss this!

David_L, Jul 2026
Great timely trolleys. Driver guides are very knowledgeable. Sage was very adept at changing routes when the city closed some roads unexpectedly. Never waited for more than 20 minutes.

Great Tour of Boston

Jane_C, Jul 2026
So informative, lots of history and our driver Maureen was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.

Typical Hop On Hop Off Tour

Louise_C, Jul 2026
I was on 3 different buses. All drivers were energetic and delivered the information very well. Reasonable tour for the money. It takes 2 hours on the main line because of traffic conditions, not because of distance. For some, one could walk faster between some stops.

Larry_J, Jul 2026
Great tour. Had 3 different guides and all of them were great. Quack was by far my favorite. He went out of his way to make sure my daughter had a great time.

Not bad, but the freedom trail walking tour was much better.

Lori_C, Jul 2026
At first tour guide, Sage, was awesome. Very well informed, good personality, and very easy to understand. The second driver , Mr. Charles was OK, but our third driver, Gemini, was very hard to understand and was over animated in his narration. Overall, the tour was informative however, we did not learn much more than we already knew from our freedom trial walking tour earlier in the day. We actually didn’t hop off too much.

Learning Boston

Kimberly_M, Jul 2026
It a straight ride and/or you have option to hop off at different stops to catch different leg of tour.... Take pictures,or grab something

Excellent Hop-on, Hop-off

Jacqueline_R, Jul 2026
Really enjoyed the commentary and the drivers interaction with everyone on the trolley. They provided a lot of great information and were fun too!

Great addition and transport to many historical sites

Dawn_G, Jul 2026
The drivers are excellent with loads of information on everything! Comfortable even though it was exquisitely hot on our trip (100+). Highly recommend

This trolley system is...

Lisa_J, Jul 2026
This trolley system is very easy to use and made it easy to navigate through Boston. The drivers are friendly and informative along the tour. Although there was one driver who liked sharing his personal political opinions rather than telling the facts about the sites and just leaving it at that. Overall however, it’s a great way to get around lovely Boston!

Great way to see the hits it Boston in a day

Bethany_A, Jun 2026
Had a very fun and memorable experience with my 13 year old daughter on the bus tour. Great way to show her Boston in a day . Would recommend 1 stop where you want to get off and walk to an adjoining stop- we had a blast. Tour guides were friendly and quirky. All staff was great - ask questions to make sure you get the best tour you want.

Wonderful

Jessica_K, Jun 2026
Gets pretty chilly so if you want to be on upper deck make sure you dress warm! Views are beautiful.

Good trip

Walter_C, Jun 2026

Lorrie_E, Jun 2026
Easy way to get around the city. Very informative - lots of fun and learned great historical stories

Hop-off but never back ON

Melanie_R, Jun 2026
The hop-off worked fine, but we were never able to hop back on. We waited at 3 stops for 20-30 minutes each and every trolly was full! Then they just stopped coming by. This was a total waste of money. And my family of 6 cost almost $400

We were so glad we booked...

Sandra_B, Jun 2026
We were so glad we booked this trolley tour! Definitely made it a lot easier to see the whole city without having to pay for parking everywhere you went. The trolleys were constantly running so you didn’t feel like you were going to miss any stops. And an added bonus is the drivers telling you all the history along the way!

Great day!

Annette_W, Jun 2026
Very informative and knowledgeable host. We saw many interesting sites and learned a lot about Boston and its history.

Highly Recommend

MICHELE_S, Jun 2026
Every single bus driver we travelled with gave us good insights and history. Despite the Boston roads being blocked due to work and a race, they were able to bypass and still point out interesting sights and facts. The bus tracker was great too. Highly recommend!

Must Do in Boston

Susan_M, Jun 2026
Very nice staff. Easy to find the location and get started. Every personality was different, knowledgeable and wonderful but Sally was the best! She was hysterical! We learned a lot. The hop on and off was perfect especially on a beautiful day!

Tour was good but would not recommend Viatour app

Carol_O, Jun 2026
Good tour but limited hours of daytime operation. They quit by 4 or so to get ready for nighttime tour sales

Post-cruise sight seeing

Scott_S, Jun 2026
The usual hop-on/hop-off experience. Most drivers have a good sense of humor and a great knowledge of the area. Got good advice on best way to get to shops/restaurants off their normal routes.

Boston Solo Trip

Jerome_S, Jun 2026
It's a wonderful way to see the majority of areas to see. The history you hear on the trolley is in great detail as well.

Worth the Ride and Sites

Jeleena_H, Jun 2026
Some of the signs say the tour ends at 7pm (I believe it’s a the TD Gardens) drop off, but it doesn’t. I got on the back line, thinking I could get back on my original trolley to get dropped off where I started (stop 2). But nope, 4/4:15p the trip ended and I had to get off causing me to walk 20 min when I could’ve never gotten off the original bus. Ms. Beantown was the best part of this experience for me. I did love seeing everything, but I couldn’t hear the three other drivers very well. Thanks Ms. Beantown for telling me how to get back to my car and just being awesome!

Hop on Hop off Tours was a Blast!!!
