It was a nice trip. We always enjoy this activity when traveling in big cities. Boston did not disappoint.
App. didn’t work very well and was hard to navigate. Our first driver was very good. He was very animated, knowledgable and fun. But he said he only drives one day a week ☹️. The other drivers were dry and not very talkative. We didn’t feel like the pick up times were on time and the staff at the #7 were not very helpful or friendly. It was raining all day and we interrupted their lunch so maybe they were just grumpy.
I think this would be a really cool service on a not rainy day. We were there during a Nor’Easter. They were not enough buses running because people weren’t getting on and off. And you couldn’t see through the windows because they were all fogged up. He spent most of our time standing in the rain, wondering if we were going to be able to get on the next bus. We finally gave up, walked to our final destination and took an Uber back to the hotel from there…
Positive is that the drivers are great. One lady even got us singing Edelweiss lol
Be aware the tour isn’t continuous. You have to get off and reload on another trolley! Dare should have been significantly lowered due to weather and plastic covering over the windows/ kept wet and cold out but also view wasnt good!
Great idea to see the city easy on and off stops would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
The ride itself was fine - it was nice that the windows were closed because of the rainy day. The first driver we had was good. Funny, witty the works. The second one called Bean was droll and dull.
Great way to see all the historical sites. Worthwhile to go around a couple of times to
get a different flavor of the stops from different bus drivers. A good value to see

An easy & informative way to see Boston quickly. I appreciated the flexibility of getting in & off. Also, the weather was miserable so I took advantage of touring while staying dry!

The weather was terrible which I understand, but I have done trolleys in many cities. The tour moved very slow. It took over 30 minutes for the first trolley to arrive(15 minutes apart). Every stop was slow. Our first driver had on a mask but obviously sick and coughed terribly. If this tour takes this long on a normal day they need to do better. Paid $50 per person, took an Uber back to hotel after 3rd stop
This is an awesome experience. We hopped on and off and were on 3 different trolleys. All the drivers did an excellent job telling us about Boston and were funny along the way. The trolley even took us back to our cruise ship.
Very informative and easy on/off but the stops were not all marked well and easy to locate.
All of the drivers were friendly, helpful and polite.
Sage was excellent. She had a great pace and her retelling of historical events made the ride very interesting.

Whenever I travel, I use Old Town Trolley wherever it is available. I found it to be a reliable company and I have always enjoyed them both for the entertaining drivers and as a way of getting around. I especially like the fact that I can take a full tour and then decide where to get off later. The drivers are generally knowledgeable and most make the rides interesting and fun.
Horrible experience if on a cruise ship! Excessively long lines to board for cruise passengers. Poor planning on the company's part.

The day was great. Driver's were great. The actual viator ripped me off. I wanted to purchase 2 day tickets for 9/19 - 9/20. When the 19th was unavailable due to being full up they automatically sold me tickets for the 20th & 21st. We were leaving on the 21st and unable to use the second day. They never informed us the 19th was unavailable. I ended up losing $100 because they wouldn't refund it.
Never use this company. They sell too many tickets for number of buses they have in service.
We couldn’t use our reservation in Boston.
Not a good experience...the guides were great but we had to wait over 30 minutes for a trolley at stop 8 only to be told no seats and 2 minutes later they found seats we went 2 more stops and had to deboard get on another trolley that took 20 plus minutes...so you killed an hour of our time right from the start so we jumped off at stop 4 and didn't waste anymore time riding your trolley.
The 9:00 a.m. bus gets to North Church too early. It opens at 10:00 a.m. There is a lot of walking involved and at the North Church, there is a significant hill, up and down, then back up and down, again. There was a lot of sitting in traffic, I guess that's typical with any city travel. Gemini was rude, Ace was cool, Chocolate was friendly - but talked specifically to the party of three on the bus, disinterested in anything I had asked about.
The hop-on hop-off trolley was THE way to get to know Boston. Traveler, be warned, driving and parking in Boston should be considered a cruel and unusual punishment. If you want to actually enjoy the sights of downtown, take the trolley. As a first time visitor to the city, this was an amazing way to get a snapshot of Boston's history. We started early and got off on many stops to explore and found the trolley to be very convenient for getting around. All the drivers were wonderful and gave so much information along the route, though Burnzee was our favorite. He was so funny and kowledgable and passionate about the city! The one hiccup in our experience came at the hands of timing. Not sure exactly what was going on behind the scenes but we had to wait for a good 25-30 minutes for the next trolley at stop 7 and the guy at the stand didn't really seem to know what the delay was either. When we finally did get on the trolley, we detoured from the planned route to take a few passengers to the cruise ship loading docks and then to take someone to south station, which added about 40 minutes of driving around. The driver told good stories during that time and we weren't in a huge hurry so it wasn't a huge deal, but it could be a big deal for someone else. All in all, it was so lovely. We loved our time on the trolley and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Boston for the first time.

The pickup line included a 2 hour wait! This really cut into the tour time and limited the amount of stops to get off and experience. Also, it was a little over a mile walk from the port to the pickup location. Ended up spending more money on an Uber to Quincy Street Market.
Never walked so much in my life. Apparently there was a large cruise presence and they weren't getting off of the buses so it made boarding a long slow process. We got tied of waiting and started walking. Eventually it eased up but by then we ran out of time. This would be a great excursion on non cruise days.
Best way to see and learn about the city. I do this with every big city I go to!! Drivers are so knowledgable.
The hours listed on the signage state 9am-7pm. The actual hours are from 9-4pm. The tickets we purchased were $55 after tax and a 15% discount, there were 13 stops. Each stop has multiple attractions, we stopped at the Tea Party boat first. The interactive tour was at least 2 hours, then we grabbed a quick bite for lunch. We waited for two trolleys before we were able to board again which delayed our ability to make it to our next planned stop. We were brought back to stop 1 and told the tour was finished at 4pm and that there would be no additional trolleys to take us to our original pick-up stop #6. We had to run over to stop #5 to catch the trolley to take us to #6. It was 4pm, traffic was so busy and dangerous for pedestrians but we decided to run to #5. Thank goodness we made it. A HUGE shoutout to Ms Beantown for being so amazing, understanding and patient to get us to #6.
It was deceiving that it didn’t disclose the 9-4pm hours of operation did not allow enough time for multiple stops and that there would be additional wait times due to trolleys being full.
You only sent us a code for one day. We had two day tickets. It was a cluster to get the trolley team to acknowledge our 2nd day ticket.
