Our trolley switched from the green route to the blue route without any prior warning; the last trolley departed 15 minutes late because it was waiting for a couple of passengers from another trolley, making us run late for our flight; drivers on the trolleys talk too much and mostly about their personal life rather than providing information about the city.
We had three different drivers during our Boston tour. The first one, Gemini, was terrible. He spoke in some strange affected way that was not only difficult to understand but also annoying. We got off his bus and got on Spenser’s bus. Spenser was the best conductor we have had on theses types of tours. We had a third driver later that was also very good. He even went out of his way to make sure some senior passengers that were not sure how to get back to their hotels got where they needed to be. All in all, a great experience after we got rid of Gemini.
Excellent way to see all the points of interest. Drivers (tour guides) very knowledgeable and provide fun and interesting facts throughout the drive around the city. Also, Brian at stop #7 very helpful educating us on how to navigate on our tour.
The Trolley is an absolutely wonderful way to see the city and plan for places you might want to go.
This is a great experience and my 2nd time on this tour. 1st time was better.
My current critique:
Our driver needs to learn 4x times as much about city sites so they can talk almost continuously. We learned very little about what we were seeing. Also, lead with sites that are coming up, rather than point them out only when we come abreast. Add more interesting info. Then we have an idea of the relevance of what we are about to see and seeing. Stop with editorial comments. In general, we do not care about your opinions. Summary: great product; mediocre driver.
Great way to get an overview of the sight and their history in Boston. Our driver JD did a great job. He was informative yet fun. His musical inserts like the music from Cheers made our trip inspite of the pouring rain.
Our tour bus driver was Spencer was awesome! The tour was so good and we visited so many places e we wouldn’t otherwise have been able to see. The hop on hop off option is a great feature.
The conductors were great and very easy to get on and off. Enjoyed it very. Much and would recommend it to everyone.
The tour was great and our various drivers were very knowledgeable and funny. Cogs and Mike D were both great. The only thing that sucked was that the signs all post that they run until 7pm. We had planned on taking the trolly to the Fenway area and found out at 4 pm that they quit running between 4:15 and 4:30. We were pretty disappointed with that.

It was a great tour to get to see much of the city and make a determination where to spend more time. Captain E was a great narrator of the history and the sights we were seeing.
The one day tour price was a littke high to accomplish the 3 tours that were included. But we enjoyed the ride and the super high energy of our guide, Cogs!
It was overbooked & had to wait too long for a bus to pick us up at the 1st stop & other stops also. Took so much time waiting on a bus we didn’t get to see what we wanted to see.

We are visiting from Florida to celebrate 2 b-days, a friend and my wife’s. It was historical, educational and opened the perspective to how Human this city is.
The tour was obviously overbooked because at every stop, we had to wait through 2 or 3 trolleys to get on because they were always full, about 25 minutes EXTRA waiting at each stop. We saw empty trolleys sitting empty all over town. They should have utilized these.
This was one of the best experiences with the most awesome guides ever! Burn Zee, Lurch, and Mr Chris were a plethora of knowledge and fun facts. It was well-mapped out, fun, and we learned a lot about the city and the area. Highly recommend!
Didn't appreciate when the driver announced that tips are "expected." Otherwise, there was no problem.
Great way to see the city and so informative. Had many drivers throughout the day however Charming was by far the best. Had a great sense of humor and so knowledgeable. The best part was being able to understand and follow the words spoken. There was another driver that used the word “very” so many times and his tone was so monotonous that he was hard to understand and follow.
Easy way to see everything. Our guides Red and Hambone were great and informative. Really is easy on and off.
This was a great way to see Boston without the hassle of driving. The drivers are friendly and full of facts and recommendations.
Great way to see the city, learn a little about the history and to be able to hop on / off to visit different sights is brilliant.
The tour was good, but there was one part that cost us a lot of time. We were on a City Tour Bus that arrived at Stop 1 and although we did not plan to get off there, the bus was emptied and we had to wait about 30 minutes to get on another bus that continued on so we could get to Stop 5. At one point, there were 3 trolleys waiting to go at Stop 1, but their departure times were staggered and kept people waiting a long time.
We really enjoyed the Trolly! A lot of good history revisited from years ago in school - & even more meaningful now. Comfortable bus & very friendly staff at the 1st stop. If you don’t have much time in Boston, I’d do this one first!
Very informative and very convenient to be able to get off and back on the buses. I was able to explore those points of interest that appealed to me the most. Great value for the experience.
Our driver on one leg of the trip, Pudge, was very informative, but make sure you do not talk while he's talking or you'll be reprimanded!
My only regret is not having more time to spend on the tour. Maureen and Ms Beantown were awesome! Absolutely loved their humor…the first Boston Molassecure….Maureen had me rolling. The hop on and off option is the best when wanting to explore the city. You won’t regret it!
This trip was supposed to be an animated experience. There was no audio to pinpoint any landmarks or interest points. It was strictly a drive thru the city.
Loys of stops to consider. However limited time to get it all in within the total time available. Bus pick ups pretty reliable, I.e. every 10-15 minutes. Drivers shared interesting info.
While there was 13 stops, a number of them are only available if you walk to it, I.e blue line.
