Great way to see the main sites in Boston. Easy to find pick up spots, lots of trolleys never had to wait more than a few minutes, comfortable, great communication, nice to hear live tour guides and not a recording. Highly recommend!

Drivers were excellent in explaining all as you traveled through the city. Comfortable trolleys and enjoyed seeing the city. Jump off and on is a great feature.

This is a great way to get in the history of Boston and travel without driving. We should had done the back Bay Area at stop #7. We instead did the Tea party museum and could not find our way back on. It was still worth the money.

Disappointed

Leyda_R, Jul 2026
Start early, we were not told that the trolleys stop running iat 4:00, Some of the drivers did not even talk to share the highlights of the city.

Overall enjoyable

Ungelia_W, Jul 2026
Very knowledgeable tour guides, great way to sit back, relax (for the most part) and learn about parts of the city. The Back Bay loop/part of the tour isn’t very long, but we waited close to an hour (50 mins) before getting picked up; made what was suppose to be a 1.5 hour tour into an all afternoon affair (approx. 3.5-4 hours), and that’s without getting off at any stops, except to transfer buses for the Back Bay/orange loop tour at stop 7/7A. We got on at Stop 1 just before 1:00p. Traffic became an issue later on the tour as it was longer than expected & put us in the thick of traffic time. Overall, enjoyable tour.

Great Tour of Boston

Jessica_S, Jul 2026
This is a great way to see the sights and learn more about Boston. Being able to hop off and check out a stop was great because we knew another trolley would be coming soon. We had a great time!

Great way to get around with driving or cabs

Allison_H, Jul 2026

Crowded

Jessica_F, Jul 2026
Long wait between trolleys and some were full so people were left behind. The drivers were informative but too crowded.

Fun Tour

Spilling the tea

Roxanne_S, Jul 2026
We loved seeing Boston and be able to hop off at stops we wanted to see closer up! Burnzee was our fave ! He was so funny an informative- almost didn’t want to get off at stops so we could stay on his bus😊

Don’t waste your money

Sara_N, Jul 2026
There were to trolley’s available in Seaport Loop where we were staying. We waited over an hour two days in a row. Once we walked to the Blue line we were able to board but not get back on. Total waste of almost $300!!

BeverleyA_M, Jul 2026
The drivers were so knowledgeable with the history od Boston and very entertaining. They also were very attentive to the customers. If their bus was full they called for another to come get people from the stops. Great experience.

Convenient

LeeAnn_C, Jul 2026
Great way to get around the city and learn from a local! Stops at spots that are convenient to see the most popular sites.

Hop on hop off

Cary_H, Jul 2026
I really enjoyed the hop on hop off tour. But sometimes it was hard to hear narrator. I would recommend head sets for passengers.

It was ok

Kent_C, Jul 2026
The experience was fine and we could have taken advantage of it more, but with that being said a couple times the buses were crowded and we could not get on and had to wait for the next bus. It seemed like some other companies had more frequent buses.

Totally disappointed

Kathy_M, Jul 2026
We were all excited about the hop on hop off experience to see Boston. However, we were dropped off at point 7 and viewed Boston Common parks and proceeded to hop on at stop on edge of the park for a hour and were told the bus was full several times. Stood in hi 80s sunny weather which was miserable. We gave up and walked to the Welcome Center to get our money back. The staff was nice and refunded our money. So we opted for Uber to see some tour sights. Totally disappointed!!!

Do it!

Leslie_T, Jul 2026
This was a great way to see lots of the city at our own pace. The tour guides were knowledgeable and super friendly. They were happy to provide recommendations and directions as needed. This was our second time taking this bus in Boston and we had a totally unique experience from the first time because there is so much to see and do! Highly recommend! Shelley, our first tour guide, was exceptional and we greatly appreciated her!

Only fair

TOM_C, Jul 2026
Trollies fill up and you can't get on.it is rather disorganized. You dont feel you want to hop off with the chaos of getting on the next one.

Nice trolley experience with opportunity to be better

Fred_S, Jul 2026
Trolley was packed and despite saying that you could take it all around the city you are required to get off and transfer to another trolley loop. The driver worked hard and did his best to entertain everyone while safely driving a bus. I would just question purchasing if you are visiting Boston during a peak time of year.

Too many people booked not enough busses

Jane_M, Jul 2026
We had to wait over an hour for a bus to pick us up at several stops. Too many people waiting to get back on after visiting sites on Monday July 20. We were unable to complete the whole route.

Disappointed

Julie_R, Jul 2026
Not as expected and like other cities - hopping back on was impossible, we had to bail the entire experience. Most guides were very nice though

Lots of fun! Beautiful day in Boston I wish I remembered the drivers name! We did the entire route without getting out and then we walked to the areas we wanted to explore more.

Charismatic and fun drivers !

Amber_S, Jul 2026
This was so easy to use!! The charismatic drivers were so helpful with directions, knowledgeable about providing local touristy information, and each ride from stop to stop very fun! Great way to see the city!

Left in the rain

Karen_F, Jul 2026
This was a horrible experience, I paid for the service and one one of the stops, the driver named Sage said that because of the heavy traffic we would be sitting in traffic for about an hour. She suggested that we could get off at the stop before heading into traffic and check out the Boston tea party museum and there would be two more trolleys coming, I got off to go to the restroom, which took about 10 minutes and then walked back to the pick up spot. I stood in the rain for an hour and no trolley ever came and I ended up having to call an uber to get back to my hotel. I will never patronize them again, save your money.

Boston Hop on Hop Off Trolley

Lisa_L, Jul 2026
We were not happy with the Hop on Hop Off trolley experience. We waited at a sop for 50 minutes for a trolley that never came. We had to take a taxi to our first stop, Faneuil Hall. We got on the trolley there. After visiting the USS Constitution we waited 20 minutes in the sun for a trolley, and when it came, there was only room for a few people. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the next trolley.
