The Sonoma Valley is one of California’s oldest and most renowned wine regions. On this full-day tour, travel around the Sonoma Valley in a Vintage VW bus and visit award-winning wineries. - Note that each vehicle seats up to 7 people total. We can still accommodate larger groups seated in separate vehicles.
- Everyone in your group needs to complete our digital waiver.
- COVID-19: A plexiglass partition has been installed between the driver and passengers. The touch points on our buses will be fully disinfected between and during tours.
- Anyone showing symptoms of COVID 19, including fever, cough or shortness of breath won’t be able to participate.
- Everyone will be required to wear a mask while inside the bus. We will have extra masks for purchase in case you have forgotten yours. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

My best friend and I had an amazing time on our tour! We ended up having a private tour due to last minute cancellation and Caio was an amazing host and guide! He took great care of us and was such a delight! Would recommend for a best friend trip or girlfriends!

Amazing day trip with Caio from Painted Ladies tour group visiting the wine region. Travelling in an old camper van with 70s vibe painted within and music played.. Rugged up and ready to roam.. First stop was mimosa at the Golden Gate Bridge.. Then on to three beautiful wineries.. Caio had fantastic knowledge of the area and wine. His relationship with each of the wineries was warm and welcoming - @caio thank you for a memorable trip 🌟🍾

Great winery tour to 3 small wineries in Sonoma! Stop on the way at Golden Gate Bridge with a mimosa! Even a ride on Lombard Street in San Francisco back to the port. Jim was a great tour driver. There were 7 in the Vintage VW van that was so much fun!

We had a fantastic time on The Painted Ladies Tour Company wine tour to Sonoma in a vintage VW bus! Our guide Jim was very knowledgeable and personable. Our tour started with a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for some photo ops, Jim made some tasty mimosas for us. We visited 3 great wineries, and had a blast with a fun mix of people. The small group of 8 people made it easy to connect with fellow travelers. To offset some of the extra cost my husband and I shared a tasting, as each winery charges a tasting fee. It was a fun day and I highly recommend this tour.

I went on this tour with my daughter and we had a blast! The group we were with were fun and Caio was the best guide and driver. He played good tunes during the drive. The three wineries were excellent. I especially liked the wine cave.

We had a lovely time on a beautiful day touring a few wineries with Caio and Painted Ladies. The small tour was perfect for us and the wineries were quite good. The food was also excellent. I definitely recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience on our wine tour, and a huge shoutout to our guide, Caio, who truly went above and beyond to make the day special and so much fun! The wineries were all fantastic, but a standout was VJB, where we stopped for lunch—delicious focaccia and pizza that paired perfectly with the wines. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a memorable day in wine country!

The registration was easy! The day before I received a text from our tour guide Caio letting me know the pick-up time and place! Caio was an excellent driver and conversationalist, and we were very comfortable with him. The first stop at the GGB for mimosa and a photo op was a perfect way to start the trip. All three stops were great as well. I really appreciated that we were never in the van for too long- always very manageable. I will definitely recommend to friends and use again the next time I am in SF!

Took the Painted Ladies Sonoma wine tasting tour with Jim and had a fantastic day. Jim was a great guide who selected 3 awesome wineries, was an excellent guide with tons of great information, and really went above and beyond to make our day memorable. Small group of 8 on an excellent trip. Chris was a great guide, knowledgeable & friendly. Stopped at the Golden Gate bridge for a mimosa then over to Sonoma to have tastings at 3 wineries (2 cost $25 pp, the other $20pp). Lunch stop at the 2nd winery was good, you had a choice of options with a sandwich starting at around $13. I would definitely recommend this tour. Given the small numbers it's so much more personal & you can find out much more about the wines & area. Bit hot in the 1973 VW camper van on the way back (no AC obviously & 90 degrees outside) but we had a blast & it was well worth it 😎

This tour was amazing. We love small group tours.
The VW Combi Van (Ocean, it was blue) was really cute and funky, and brought back memories.
Our tour guide Caio was absolutely amazing. He was personable, welcoming and very knowledgeable. It was clear he enjoyed his job.
We started the tour at the Golden Gate Bridge with mimosas that included flamingo straws. Loved it.
We went to three extremely lovely, albeit all unique in their own style, wineries. It was difficult to choose the best. Lunch was at VJB Winery. They have the most amazing delicatessen onsite. The food was delicious (paid by us). We also had complimentary gelato. Also delicious.
The drive was enjoyable. We chatted and played music whilst all of us were singing along.
Fun at the next level.
If you want the pink Combi like we did but it didn’t arrive, ensure to request it. We didn’t realise we could. It really didn’t matter though as the tour was fabulous on every level.

We had a great time yesterday. Jim was very knowledgeable and pointed out interesting places we passed on our way to the wineries. Since we were the only two on the tour and we didn’t know much about wine, Jim explained a lot to us as we went along. It felt like we were with a friend showing us around for the day. We really enjoyed driving around in “Poppy”! It was so fun seeing all the people on the side of the road taking pictures of us and waving and flashing peace signs as we passed by! Thanks for a fun day, Jim!

There were many, however our tour guide Jim was terrific, shared lots of interesting info on our journey. The bus is a must..had me using Groovy again. The wineries were great. My favorite wine was the Zinfandel. My daughter and I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Again, thank you Jim for your great hospitality. The other quests were a lot of fun. Great group.

Jim, our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable with history and facts of the wineries we went to. He also, gave us a little background history of the city. This was a small group which made it so much nicer than being lost in a crowd. He made our day trip fun! We would definitely do this tour again and highly recommended this tour to our friends and family!

We had such a great time with Jim who is true local, really nice to talk with, a great storyteller and safe driver. As French we were not so convinced by the wine we tested but still enjoyed the unique experience of this tour!

Highly recommend this trip. It could not have been easier. The driver, Jim, is a San Fran native and has a passion for his city. I would suggest asking for him (although I am sure all of the drivers are great). His insight and commentary was much appreciated.
We saw three, diverse wineries and were able to see the country-side which was a nice break from the city.
The vw vans are kitschy and actually comfortable. We had six people and plenty of room.
This was a “dad/daughter” trip and the wineries were very open to explaining everything to my daughter.
A+ tour.

All the wineries were amazing and informative! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about SF, the wines, and Sonoma. He went out of his way to take our photos and make us mimosas at the Golden Gate Bridge and bought Italian truffles for us! Despite the audio system not working our tour guide (Caio) evoked a fun atmosphere and let us choose music off his phone/spotify. 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to SF and wanting to take a wine tour!

What an amazing tour! Jim was amazing and very informative along the way. Jim took great care of us and was a fantastic driver. Really enjoyed the first stop at roche. All wineries and staff were great and provided information on the winery. All three wineries were different and enjoyable.

Jim was our tour guide for the experience. He was super friendly and explained the history of many buildings and structures that we drove past on the way to sonoma valley. We were greeted with mimosas and felt like it was a super personal experience. I went with my parents and they loved it!
