Fun, Hands-On Cooking Class!

We had a wonderful experience at this pasta-making class! There were only 10 people in our group, so it felt very personal and hands-on. Mari and Carlotta were fantastic instructors—friendly, patient, and always available to help as we learned to make fettuccine, ricotta ravioli, and tiramisu completely from scratch. The class was relaxed, fun, and easy to follow, even for beginners. It was a great experiences in Rome, and we left with new skills and reciipes to take home. Highly recommend!

Our guide Dominique made the experience so great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She created a great atmosphere. The family owned deli was a particular treat to taste from and hear about. Come hungry and leave happy!

Brian was an excellent and funny tour guide! He share many historical details around town and genuinely loved his job. There is plenty to eat along this 3 hour tour so come hungry! I don't think anyone should make strict plans after this tour since you will be food coma. You get to walk around the food hots in Trastevere and hit up some of the hard to get to places like da Enzo but its a smaller dish to sample so you have to go back for the main dishes. We are getting tastings as some of these places before it opens. Overall this was a great intro tour to the special Roman foods so you can try to get reservations to some of the places they took us to. The area gets more lively by end of the tour. The last place we went to was a historical landmark restaurant with PLENTY of pasta to go around! Wear comfy shoes due to the uneven streets. Meeting place was easy to find with their purple aprons or bags. The group size was manageable so you can still hear the guide talk. Loved this tour!

Trastevere Food Tour—Daniele is the best!

Despite some personal setbacks, we had an amazing time on the tour. Daniele is extremely charismatic and knowledgeable about so many things having to do with Rome (and Italy), beyond just food. However, in terms of our stops, the food options were delicious and plentiful. We didn’t feel rushed throughout the tour, and Daniele made it such a pleasant experience.

Alessandra was our tour guide and she might have been the best tour guide we have ever had and we have done many excursions and tours over the years. Wow! Knowledge of Rome and Italy were fantastic, but also just how she made teenagers also feel on the tour was best in class. There are not enough nice things to say about this tour and the food was perfect to try many different items.

Great Experience

The guide was fabulous and waited for two people who were over 20 minutes late so they could join. She shared so much history and the food was wonderful! We were so full at the end and it was a great experience to hear from an expert about what we were eating and why. On reviews I read, people complained about the artichokes, but we loved them. We stopped at four locations and I thought at the beginning I was gonna need to get dinner after. Boy was I wrong. And the free flowing wine is an understatement. Organic wines though. No headache despite most of us getting tipsy. I traveled solo. That didn’t matter. We all got to chatting. 8 of us. And we had a wonderful time. Our guide was great, too!! Knowledgeable, funny and tried to keep pouring the wine!! I’d suggest this tour to anyone who would like to get a true sense of various types of Italian food. Street eats, pasta, truffles. Great way to start your trip in Rome! Good way to get your bearings and plan out rest of the trip. Lisa was very informative about the food and history of the areas we were in- yet personable and it felt like you were exploring the city with a friend. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit next and places to have dinner. Definitely come hungry- you get an amazing range of tastings. We were definitely stuffed by the end. She was good about breaking up the tour- with adequate water breaks and sit down meals in air conditioned restaurants- which was much needed on a day that reached 105 degrees.
