Expect a lot of people from other excursions in the water. But once you're in the water, take your time to appreciate what you're doing. There's another world below the surface. Schools of fish everywhere. Turtles were on the bottom of the sea floor and some breached the surface for air before they dove back down. The ride was comfortable and the crew were very knowledgeable and super friendly. A great way to spend 2 hours of your day.

The people at Ohana Surf Project were helpful, supportive, and laid back. Maddie in the office was more than willing to answer any questions and help with anything before the trip. Our lesson was with Kevin and he was supportive and encouraging and told us exactly what we needed to do to get up and have the best surfing experience. He was knowledgeable and chose the waves that would give us the best chance. Chelsea was taking photos/videos also gave advice on surfing. We had a semi private lesson which meant that there were two of us in our group with one instructor and about three other groups with their instructors sharing the same space. The instructors would all look out for the group in terms of safety but they focused their lessons only on their students. We had an awesome time, everyone got up on the board who wanted to, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a surf lesson, especially beginners.

It was fantastic! The crew was very informative and helpful as well as funny, very attentive. We saw quite a few different types of fish, as well as beautiful green turtles. They check before letting everyone off to make sure you see some ocean life :) the slide was great for all ages, the experience was more than I could asked for! I will recommend these guys time and time again! We rented a go pro and they were extremely helpful with getting the pictures uploaded to are phone. One tour guide even helped up get an amazing video of one of the turtles!!!! The boat was very clean and very nice. We saw dolphins and even a whale on the way out :) you won’t be disappointed:)! I do recommend you know how to swim, it doesn’t have to be life guard level but doggy paddle will get you pretty far with the floaters and flippers and all that they provide. They do make sure to address that, and are fine helping you and even encourage you to talk to the in private if it’s something you don’t want the whole boat knowing :) I would rate it 100/10
