Our guide was amazing. We ended up getting lucky because it was just us. He was attentive to see if we were doing okay and gave us facts about the islands which was cool. We had an amazing time with our guide.

This experience was super nice. Our Guide was great! He was funny and showed up even after his co-worker had called out just to deliver the best! You’ll go on a mini river ride through the Polynesian center and star gaze in the dark! His stories are super engaging and informative. He did an amazing job despite being alone for the night with a whole group! Thanks “cousin!” 100% recommend for families and friend (anybody really) if you are worried about the river being too deep or anything like that it’s a man-made river and it’s only about 3 feet tall so if you fall off the paddle you can stand no issue.

It was an incredible insight lesson of the Polynesian culture, given by our guide. You will get a bit wet due to several small waterfalls scattered throughout the area.

Fantastic experience, excellent guide and stories, cool location for an easy SUP. If you’ve never done stand up paddling - great for a newbie: calm lagoon waters, easy speed with stops for the history on the Polynesian areas, and shallow waters. The LED is such a nice touch on SUP!! Went with my family, we all own and paddle board occasionally so cool experience as a newbie or experienced paddle boarder with a twist!

First time on paddle boards. We all did good. My 4 grandchildren did knacks. Koi Jay did great. We all thought he was a terrific guide. Very patient with us. He was terrific with the kids.

Ample parking on site. We got into the Culture Centre entrance & the receptionist didn’t know anything about the tour, so we had to walk to the other main entrance to the ticketing booth. We were then told to follow the yellow dots on the floor to ‘The Islands’, which we had to walk past the Culture Centre Entrance for. I didn’t realize til afterwards there was a specific meeting point that was on the website, but not detailed on the ticket (which can be difficult if you don’t have roaming data, so make sure you know prior arrival & it also doesn’t mention on the ticket to arrive 30 mins prior). We managed to find the location we needed to be & met everyone, but we didn’t get a choice between a kayak & paddle board (we both would have been more comfortable in a kayak, but my partner would have not done the experience on a paddle board so they managed to find one for him). The story telling & the experience was really fun & enjoyable for all ages, it was about 2 hours as a whole & we learnt so much while kayaking & paddle boarding through gorgeous settings. We would recommend, just add some specific instructions for people attending!

The only reason we didn't give 5 star is we didn't realize the center closed at 6 pm so we didn't have time to go inside and visit the center. The young man who was our guide for paddle boarding was very pleasant, full of information so we had a good time with his stories. We got there at 4 pm but you want to go much earlier to see the whole place, we thought it would be open on a weekend at least till 8.

The kayak tour at the Polynesian Culture Center was one of the best activities we experienced while staying in Honolulu. My husband and I greatly appreciated the Mookie the tour guide and all the great people who helped with our float. I would definitely recommend it!

Activity was excellent I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do this. However if you are taxiing I would pre-book a return taxi as very difficult to get back to Wakiki without a vehicle.

Get an exclusive look behind the scenes and float around their lagoon on a stand-up paddle board or kayak. No waves, no sharks, no worries! Guided through the tranquil lagoon by moonlight, you’ll visit the islands of Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Tonga, and Tahiti on a stand-up paddle board or kayak that features colorful LED illumination in the water!” Our advertising is spot-on. Sorry for your confusion. For high adventure kayaking we recommend call Captain Scott at Shaka Kayaks on the North Shore.

We absolutely loved our experience. We were late due to our plane turning around. Cousin worked with us and filled us in the 9 oclcok slot which was so nice. I’m so glad we didn’t miss it. If you know what Ohana means before you go he’ll give you extra points.
