Overview
The Kaneohe Sandbar is one of the best places around Oahu for swimming and snorkeling. But, without your own boat, it's tricky to get there. This boat trip does all the hard work for you so that you can relax on board as you cruise to the sandbar then spend your time as you please, whether by jumping into the water, spotting turtles or just soaking up the sun and scenery.

[Meeting Time] 15 minutes before the start time. [Meeting Point] Slip #316 under "CAPTAIN BRUCE" sign. [Parking] Parking area in the Heʻeia Kea Boat Harbor. DO NOT park tow-away zone. Please note that the parking gets busy on Saturday. We suggest you arrive a little early to find parking space.

Itinerary
Your afternoon of snorkeling at the Kaneohe Sandbar begins when you make your own way to the Heʻeia Kea Boat Harbor, where you’ll meet your crew around noon. Sail to the sandbar, which takes about 15 minutes and isn’t easily accessible if you don’t have a boat.
Don your snorkeling gear and spend about two hours at the sandbar, looking out for turtles in particular, which live at one end of the sandbar and can often be seen. You’ll also have the chance to swim, relax on the boat, or go stand-up paddle boarding. Bring your own snacks and drinks if you want to refuel throughout the afternoon.
You’ll head back to the harbor in the mid-afternoon, so you’ll still have plenty of time in the day for other adventures.

It was an absolutely beautiful sand bar with all the sea life you would want to see! We saw 6 turtles and that was just on the way there! And more wonderfully colored fish once we snorkeled. Jasmine was fantastic, so bubbly and energetic and kept the environment fun and exciting, when we saw new things. Captian Z was great! Highly highly recommend!! We also lounged and paddle boarded cant wait to book it again for our next trip!!

Our second time booking the Kaneohe Sandbar with Captain Bruce….an absolute MUST DO! Cynthia, Eli, Izumi and Jae were so accommodating and friendly! Paddle boarding was fun and the floats were relaxing….Will definitely be booking a 3rd time!

Amazing experience! The staff were amazing and they fed us so well, we were able to see a lots of sea turtles, fishes, eels, and got to relax at the sandbar after snorkeling! Would totally do again 100%! Located in a beautiful part of the island as well

Friendly and hospitable crew, a comfortable boat, and a great tour for families with kids. The marine activities were fun and well organized. I do wish fins had been provided for snorkeling, and the snorkeling area felt a bit restrictive. Overall, a fun experience, especially for families.

This is our second time on the snorkle tour, "blue boat" which has the best crew and the most fun! It's a great feeling to be remembered from 2 years ago.
This excursion is our favorite and practically guarantees turtles, tropical fish and maybe if you're lucky a reef shark or two. Besides snorkeling, Captain Bruce also offers paddle boards, floats and games to play. Forgot to pack the snorkle gear? No worries. They provide all the essentials to make the experience one you will never forget. This excursion also provides light snacks like musubi, chips, granola bars and drinks to keep the energy high and the focus on the water. Conveniently located on north shore with easy access from anywhere on the island. Parking at the marina can get full quickly so come early and enjoy the Dole Whip while you wait! Mahalo 🤙🏼

We had such an amazing time!!! We got to see puffer fish, sharks, sea turtles, the reef, etc etc. I could go on and on!! Specifically Hosanna was over the top sweet, and so knowledgeable!! The whole crew was very kind!! The spam musubi was great!! ( it was out first time having it) the snacks, and drinks were great! We got about 10ft away from real sea turtles it was amazing!! Bring sun block lotion ( spray isn’t allowed on the boat)

Loved it, they thought of everything! Brought my two year old and we both had the best time! They even had a zayak that allowed my two year old to see the fish underwater. The staff was so friendly and helpful. 10/10

Snorkeling, paddle boarding, water toys, lunch, spam musubi and snacks included. Saw various fish, turtles, eels, puffer fish and lots of coral. Had a blast for an hour on the sandbar. We had Captain Robin, Nahoa and Izumi and they were amazing the entire trip. Shared good knowledge about the tour, sea life and creation of the sandbar and were friendly guides.

It was a beautiful and amazing experience. It was our first time snorkeling, and the experience was amazing. Captain Hosanna was really nice and guided us while snorkeling since it was our first time.

The snorkeling tour may feel a bit routine for the crew, but it would be great if they could be more friendly and patient with first-time participants. In my experience, the crew tended to focus on completing the routine and sometimes just raised their voice rather than offering assistance when needed, so beginners may struggle and may require more in-water support than is currently provided.

As a world traveler, this was some of the best snorkeling I have done in my life! The sand bar is beautiful and offers lots of toys to play. The crew were exceptional.

My boyfriend and I went on this tour together and it was so nice!! I never leave reviews but i felt like i need to because the two crew girls were so amazing! we were lucky because there was only 5 guests in total and despite the language barriers, everyone was included and comfortable. everything went smoothly and we had so much fun :)

Very fun day with the Captain Bruce crew out on the Kaneohe sandbar! Great crew, lovely snorkeling and scenery, and tasty snacks! A great trip for all ages - easy to get on and off the boat, different water sports activities available, or just beautiful scenery out on the water if you didn't feel like doing much. All of us really enjoyed this activity and the day. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Oahu!

Jamie and Karen and the Captain and crew were all friendly and helpful and we saw all kinds of cool ocean life. Great drinks and snacks and equipment. Highly recommend especially if you’re not the most confident swimmer as you can stand in the water if you don’t want to go to the deep water.
