We really enjoyed the excursion. This was our first time doing water rafting especially with Cristian. He was a really good tour guide and very funny. We saw bald eagles and even a seal in the water bobbing up and down. He even gave us some insights what it was like to staying in Juneau even though he only worked there in the summer. Hope to see him in Colorado when we visit.
This was so much fun! Highly recommend for family fun. The kids loved the areas with small rapids. Our guide was great and let our kids row for a few minutes.
This was pretty disappointing. The glacier aspect of the tour was way oversold in the tour description which says it is "along Mendenhall Glacier" and "around the foot of the glacier". In truth, when you arrive at the lake to gear up and board the rafts, the glacier can be seen from about two miles away and that's as close as you'll be getting as the tour immediately turns away from it to float down the river. The "gorgeous mountain scenery" was a bit of a stretch too, as the river runs behind a suburban housing development so one bank of the river is just a view of the fence line and a barrier intended to protect the houses from flooding. The other side is more or less wild but not very scenic. As for the whitewater adventure portion, there were about three spots where it got slightly bumpy for a few seconds and we got a little splash, comparable to an amusement park log ride. Maybe that was a thrilling experience for some people, but IMO it wasn't worth the effort of putting on the gear. The Alaskan-style snacks amounted to a pretty standard cheese/crackers/veggies/sliced meats platter though there was a dip that I think had some smoked salmon in it so - Alaskan-style, I guess.
I booked this partly because it was a little more reasonably priced than some of the other tours but also because it seemed more active than just riding in a van to go look at things. So I could have been satisfied if it had been dull but we'd really been to the glacier, or if it had been fun but we didn't get much glacier, but it didn't deliver on either and I feel like I wasted my money and my one time being in Juneau. The only thing saving this from being one-star is the guides who were all friendly and helpful and hopefully not too embarrassed about being part of this extremely mid experience.
Such a fantastic experience, fun AND beautiful! Dalton was top notch, super chill about the rapids, but superb stand-up comedy at the ready. Putting that theater degree to good use. Ask for Dalton!
Our group was ages 17-71! It was fun for all of us! We had a great guide who made this adventure interesting and even more fun!
We had a fantastic time! Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful, and the float was peaceful and scenic. There was very little white water (at least the day that we went). Dalton was a fantastic guide. It was a wonderful opportunity to see a bit of Juneau away from the crowds in port.
This was a great time floating down the river and taking in the scenery while the guide did all the paddling. The only thing that would have been better is to have gotten closer to the glacier—we could only see it from a distance.
Excellent excursion! Our guide Tuna was incredible and very personable. The rafting is down a river and great fun. You'll see the glacier at the start, but the rafting trip goes the opposite way. Would certainly go again!

Great time - Jamie was a great rafter and she looked after us really well. First time I have done it and really enjoyed it. The river was running fast after the recent and current rain. It was a shame the weather at the start meant the view of the glacier was not as good as it should have been.
Would recommend and would say book it online and not through the cruise line as far better value and the money goes to the local firm. I read poor reviews but they were spot on turned up exactly where they said and people who booked on the ship and paid a lot more were on the same trip.
Workers were all nice. Joe at port check in was super. Bus ride to river was nice and just enough information.
Dylan did a great job! Super unique Juneau experience and you have great views of the glacier throughout. He was very knowledgeable I would highly recommend!

The day before we revived a message the trip was on. We didn’t book any other excursion. When we got to the meeting point they said it wa cancelled and they had emailed us. I showed them the only message I had the day before saying we were all set. At this point it was too late to book with another company. Basically ruined our entire day. Waiting for a refund which I have not heard back from either. We have booked multiple times with viator and have had great experiences but this will more than likely be my last
Communication with this company is no -existent. I tried reaching out multiple times, as Suicide Basin was scheduled to overflow on or around our scheduled tour day, and received no response. In the end, we skipped the float over safety concerns. I would have appreciated a response to my MULTIPLE texts to find out if the tour was going on despite the threat of flooding on the Mendenhall River and Lake. I would NEVER schedule an expensive excursion with this company, as they do not respond to inquiries prior to your trip. Go with a different company.
Kyle was great. We were provided with equipment. Beautiful day, fun trip, and Kyle had our whole family involved.

Had a great time in the river float excursion. Jason was our tour guide and he was full of great information about the area, expertly navigating us safely through the challenging parts of the river, and pointing out wildlife in the area. I would definitely recommend this excursion!

The tour company picked us up by the tram, and took us 20 minute bus ride to a spot where we signed waivers and got outfitted. There, at Mindenhall Lake, we received some safety briefings and got in our graphs with a guide. Things were well coordinated, staff provided a lot of help, and we had an amazing day!

Such a fun excursion! Our guide Trent was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and safe. Our kids 10 and 12 had a blast. The glacier was beautiful and sights were amazing. Highly recommend.

Pleasant raft trip but nothing to exciting. Was surprised by the development along the river. Was hoping the trip was going to be more of a natural landscape. However, the guide was great and made the trip a good experience.
We had a wonderful experience on our float trip. We had a family of 9, including our elderly parents and they both enjoyed this activity. My mom was incredibly nervous about it being too difficult and Karter was patient and kind and put her at ease. Karter was very professional and entertaining. I highly recommend this excursion!!

This was such a beautiful site to see. I turned to look at the mountain and saw this amazing Glacier. Carter was our guide and was full of knowledge and handled the raft so well. Will do it again next year

Alex navigated our family of 5 through the 5 rapids along the route. He even let our youngest (aged 7) man one of the oars for a bit. We had a great experience enjoying the thrill of the rapids, the tranquility of the lake, and the beauty of our surroundings.

Operator never showed up. I never received a text or email from them letting me know that the tour would not happen. I get that it was beyond their control but by the time I found out (from another company) it was to late to book anything else, so the entire day was wasted shopping.
Trent was a great guide. Scenery was beautiful. My only complaint was most the food was gone by the time we got to it, and need more hot Cider. That also ran out.
Unfortunately we weren't picked up for our excursion. The meet-team was there to meet us, told us there was a delay and to meet back there in an hour. After coming back in an hour, that delay was followed by 2 more. (close to 2 hours late now) We opted for our money back and went whale watching.
