Great time - Jamie was a great rafter and she looked after us really well. First time I have done it and really enjoyed it. The river was running fast after the recent and current rain. It was a shame the weather at the start meant the view of the glacier was not as good as it should have been.
Would recommend and would say book it online and not through the cruise line as far better value and the money goes to the local firm. I read poor reviews but they were spot on turned up exactly where they said and people who booked on the ship and paid a lot more were on the same trip.

The day before we revived a message the trip was on. We didn’t book any other excursion. When we got to the meeting point they said it wa cancelled and they had emailed us. I showed them the only message I had the day before saying we were all set. At this point it was too late to book with another company. Basically ruined our entire day. Waiting for a refund which I have not heard back from either. We have booked multiple times with viator and have had great experiences but this will more than likely be my last

Communication with this company is no -existent. I tried reaching out multiple times, as Suicide Basin was scheduled to overflow on or around our scheduled tour day, and received no response. In the end, we skipped the float over safety concerns. I would have appreciated a response to my MULTIPLE texts to find out if the tour was going on despite the threat of flooding on the Mendenhall River and Lake. I would NEVER schedule an expensive excursion with this company, as they do not respond to inquiries prior to your trip. Go with a different company.

Had a great time in the river float excursion. Jason was our tour guide and he was full of great information about the area, expertly navigating us safely through the challenging parts of the river, and pointing out wildlife in the area. I would definitely recommend this excursion!

The tour company picked us up by the tram, and took us 20 minute bus ride to a spot where we signed waivers and got outfitted. There, at Mindenhall Lake, we received some safety briefings and got in our graphs with a guide. Things were well coordinated, staff provided a lot of help, and we had an amazing day!

Such a fun excursion! Our guide Trent was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and safe. Our kids 10 and 12 had a blast. The glacier was beautiful and sights were amazing. Highly recommend.

Pleasant raft trip but nothing to exciting. Was surprised by the development along the river. Was hoping the trip was going to be more of a natural landscape. However, the guide was great and made the trip a good experience.

We had a wonderful experience on our float trip. We had a family of 9, including our elderly parents and they both enjoyed this activity. My mom was incredibly nervous about it being too difficult and Karter was patient and kind and put her at ease. Karter was very professional and entertaining. I highly recommend this excursion!!

This was such a beautiful site to see. I turned to look at the mountain and saw this amazing Glacier. Carter was our guide and was full of knowledge and handled the raft so well. Will do it again next year

Alex navigated our family of 5 through the 5 rapids along the route. He even let our youngest (aged 7) man one of the oars for a bit. We had a great experience enjoying the thrill of the rapids, the tranquility of the lake, and the beauty of our surroundings.

Operator never showed up. I never received a text or email from them letting me know that the tour would not happen. I get that it was beyond their control but by the time I found out (from another company) it was to late to book anything else, so the entire day was wasted shopping.

Trent was a great guide. Scenery was beautiful. My only complaint was most the food was gone by the time we got to it, and need more hot Cider. That also ran out.

Unfortunately we weren't picked up for our excursion. The meet-team was there to meet us, told us there was a delay and to meet back there in an hour. After coming back in an hour, that delay was followed by 2 more. (close to 2 hours late now) We opted for our money back and went whale watching.

We had an enjoyable experience floating down the Mendenhall River with Kyle as our guide. He was very funny stepping on the bus to recite the waiver word for word, and he got us through a few tricky spots on the river with his drill sergeant like shimmy commands. He had very good local knowledge as well. The tour itself was a bit slow due to another raft getting stuck for at least 20 minutes or so but all in all we had fun and we even got to see a seal pop it’s head out of the water.

Our tour guide was very good his name was schulyer. He was excellent at handling the raft.
However we were delayed because the buses were delayed almost 45 minutes and we were supposed to go on another tour that was supposed to depart an hour after we returned from our trip. Had to cancel the trip.
Once at the start of the trip we were told to use the restroom and there were no sinks or hand sanitizer available?
Also, you sat on a piece of plywood and were crowded together. My seat was behind the rower there was absolutely no room for my feet or to move.
My back, hips buttocks were numb when I got off could barely walk.
The bugs were pretty horrible the first 30 minutes and no one warned you about them. All of our personal items were stored in a box truck that was taken to our final destination.
Once off the raft you had to walk up several flights of stairs or go all the way around to a sort of ramp to meet the bus. This was a fairly rough experience. The tour was from the Alaska tour Co. would not recommend.

Best trip and guide that I had in my 3 city 10 day trip. Javier was an excellent boat guide and kept everyone very engaged in the boat. If you go, ask for Javier if you want a superior trip! By the way Allison was a great driver!

We had a full raft but Javier was the man and he rowed us out perfectly. Got great photos close to the glacier and was able to enjoy the rapids dry in the back while my kids soaked up the front. We saw salmon and eagles. Lots of stories told. Not overly intensive activity- it was low key and fun.

This was a great adventure! Armando, our driver was great, full of information along our drive. He pointed out eagles, their nests, and other things along the way. Javier, our float guide was above and beyond awesome! I compliment you on all of your employees. Every person we encountered was so kind and friendly! Bravo!
