Epic Glacier Adventure with Luke - and a Shoutout to His Mom, Tess!
This glacier canoe tour was everything Alaska should be: wild, stunning, and absolutely unforgettable. Luke led our group with the perfect balance of humor, knowledge, and calm confidence. Every stroke brought a new perspective: glassy water, towering ice, and that surreal feeling of being somewhere few ever truly experience. Luke made the miles feel easy with his stories, love of his work environment, expertise, and his insider insight made the glacier come alive. Huge shoutout to his mom, Tess - clearly where he gets his warmth and storytelling charm. The gear was top-notch, Luke was well organized and upbeat, and the experience beyond anything we expected. If you’re debating it - stop. Book it. This is the Alaska memory you’ll keep forever.

Amazing Experience! Views, Wildlife, and a Good Time
End of the season. It was a small group of 3 people but it was absolutely amazing. Louis was our guide and he did a phenomenal job telling us about the area and the glacier. I did not expect to see wildlife but we ended up having a group of seals follow us for most of the excursion. I guess we were their entertainment lol. We saw 3 adult bald eagles. One tip: bring waterproof gloves. The water gets cold by the glacier and the paddle is cold as well.

Glacier Beauty
To start with pick up was a breeze. Short ride out of town to the lake before getting outfitted with all our gear. There Mason and the guys got us in the canoe. Now this is definitely a bit of a paddle so be prepared but it is totally worth it. We got extremely close to the glacier after paddle across the lake. When there we got out of canoe and talked about glacier and had our “rock talk” which was very interesting then got to “hunt” around for gems. Got some awesome photos with glacier so close in the background. On the paddle back stopped by the massive falls. Unfortunately the porcupines were not around this day but did see a lot of bald eagles. Even the rain at the end didn’t dampen our spirits. This tour was the highlight of our trip.

Alaskan sled dog adventure.
This was such a unique experience, very informative. The dog handler and dog team were great. She was full of interesting information about the Iditarod and knew her dog team very well. It was lots of fun. The information center and map area was very informative as well. We got to meet the camp dog, he was so sweet. We enjoyed holding the new puppies and the shuttle driver was knowledgeable about Alaska and the k Juneau are. We truly enjoyed the whole experience.

Think of Juneau as the opposite of Rome—no roads lead in or out of this Alaskan capital. That’s not a problem: Take advantage of the city’s island nature, skip the rental car, and hit the skies. Juneau helicopter tours are the most thrilling way to see this rugged slice of Alaska, and in many cases, they’re the only way. You’ll see the roadless backcountry, spy on glaciers, hover over islands, and more. If one thing is sure, helicopter tours in Juneau prove no US capital can compare in ruggedness, wildness, or beauty.
