We had an amazing experience. Saw a momma grizzly bear and 2 cubs, and a black silver fox, among the wildlife.
An efficient 6 hour tour will take you to places you may have never heard of in Alaska, BC and Yukon Territory. Views are incredible, and so is the Canadian hospitality. Scott the guide was funny abd informative. Wear warm clothes/layer. Please note: this tour doesn't include a train ride
I don’t normally enjoy bus tours but this one was an exception! The beautiful mountains, lakes along the way made this worth the ride. Our guide (Kenton I think was his name) was entertaining and stopped along the way for us to get some great photos. We had a nice lunch included in our tour & the cinnamon sugar donuts at the restaurant were a bonus! Have your lunch in one of the covered wagons if your weather is nice for fun photos! After lunch we stopped at the desert - yes there’s a beautiful desert there also among mountains and lakes!!
Side note: DO bring your passport!!! At the Canadian border, an agent will board the bus and check passports (and whatever else is needed for non US citizens) Also: dress in layers. We started with cold drizzle that turned into warm 70’s & sunny mid-day that later turned into chilly cloudy wind. You will be on a bus most of the time but prepare for chilly wind, drizzle & hopefully some warm sun !
We saw all the beauty of Alaska and Canada. Our guide Kenton even arranged the tour so we could see certain things with the best light. We loved the tour! The lunch was so good too!
We didn’t get to stop very long at the view points- 2-3 minutes each time really. We also only had just under one hour at the lunch stop, and we weren’t allowed to touch the dogs/puppies
But, the driver was entertaining and the views were very beautiful. We also saw a black bear cross the road.
Great tour to see a tiny bit of interior Alaska. Kenton was a fabulous guide with lots of fun facts and stories. Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful time traveling to the Yukon with our driver Kenny, bus was very comfortable, his commentary was informative, interesting, and he’s a real comedian. He made many stops along the way giving us all opportunities for pictures.
The chicken lunch was filling and delicious.
It was worth every penny!.
This was a wonderful excursion, very informative and the sights were absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Kenton was amazing and very informative and fun
I found this trip very underwhelming. You basically are just paying for someone to drive you into Canada and back and make a few pictures stops along the way. It was mostly just sitting in a van and looking out the window. The one stop they have is really rushed through because they give you only an hour there including time to eat lunch.
Tour guide extremely knowledgeable. Great stories and interesting facts. . Loved every minute of this tour. Beautiful scenery!
This excursion is well worth it!! We saw so many amazing spots and our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly! This was the highlight of our entire trip!
Viator never showed up and never notified me.
I had to scramble with another tour company at the last minute.
Raymond our tour guide was amazing, stopped at all the right places and explained every step of the way. The most amazing views. Highly recommend is you are going to Alaska. 6 hours that went way to quickly
excellent tour, great guides.. you see a lot on this tour. worth the money. We saw a lot of wildlife, mountain goats, eagles, even a grizzle bear.
Clay is a thoughtful informed driver and guide. Comfortable coach. Hearty BBQ chicken lunch. Beautiful country.
Wonderful guide. Clay was awesome and we certainly have a great day in the Yukon. Clay knew a lot about the area and history. We would recommend.
The driver was very aware of sightings along the drive. We were able to see mountain goats, grizzly bear, and eagle nest with 2 baby eagles. Also the new turnaround of the train. The food was delicious. Sorry the sled dogs were worn out with too many earlier viewers.
Scott was a terrific guide! We loved all the many stops to take photos of waterfalls, gorgeous lakes, and other picturesque scenes. Scott’s knowledge was great and his friendly personality… a plus!
The chances of spotting wildlife always vary but we saw 3 black bears 2 bald eagle young kings and about a dozen mountain goats.
The scenery is spectacular.
I was expecting to be disappoint d at the stop at Carcross but the food was good and the taxidermy display is worth seeing. Oh - and cute husky puppies!
A good tour guide makes a difference - Kenton was witty, knowledgeable and kept us laughing almost the entire way.
Raymond was a great driver. He made it interesting. Saw a momma bear and 3 cubs, that were along the roadway. He pulled over and the bear walked with cubs less than 5 feet from the bus.
6 hrs of beauty!!! knowledgeable guide, great trip, great weather, nice group... dumb rules by via tour to need 100 characters
Our driver was great and very fun and informative. He took us to areas and showed us the local experiences.
Bit of a scenic tour. Emerald lake isn’t green like the photo says. Didn’t see a bear but we saw other small animals
Fantastic journey to the Yukon with a knowledgeable and friendly guide and human. Loved it. We learned a lot and had a great time.
I have done this tour a few times well worth the price and time.
Although I must say the driver made some more insensitive jokes and comment of Canada and USA
I found offensive given the political climate between the two countries I found this just too offensive he could have talked about so much other content.
Other than that everything was great
Bear and fox and goat sightings
Amazingly scenic drive. Our driver Mr. Clay was very knowledgeable and gave us a very informative commentary. We were lucky to see a juvenile bear busy eating ants by the side of the road, where we stopped by a little!
This trip was a good way too see a lot of different terrain and ecosystems. It is a lot of driving, but we got to see lots of waterfalls, alpine lakes, beautiful mountains, the steam engine train accross the valley, two bears, eaglets in their nest, and the mushing camp that included an impressive taxidermy museum of most local animals.
This was a 150 mile ride into the Yukon Territory. While the scenery was nice and the driver/tour guide, Clay, did a great job it wasn’t worth going on. The dog sled was misleading. There were 16 dogs chained up. They wanted $50 pp to ride them pulling a truck. Definitely not worth the money or time. There are better tours in Skagway
The views are amazing.
Motor coach driver is also guide and explains everything.
I would appreciate guide for taking pictures of us.
Overall, he is so good and great experience.
Must do activity in Skagway.
Scenic bus drive through the mountains. We loved the view from Emerald Lake. We saw two bears and some goats high up in the mountains. The kennel was fun for the kids. We debated the mush sled but didn’t feel like it was worth the money. The best part of the experience was our driver Tim who had hilarious stories and anecdotes. He also doubled as our professional photographer to find us the best places to capture the best angles. Would recommend the experience to other large families.
