Jeep experience was great, would definitely recommend. The audio iPad was a really cool and forest way to guide you. We enjoyed stopping at our leisure and taking our time to explore all the beautiful sights

This was one of our best experiences of our trip. The jeep was clean and nice - the recorded tour gave us lots of information, and it was especially nice to be able to stop and visit the sites without being rushed.

Highly Highly Recommend! Perfection all the way around.
The audio was perfect. We could play the videos and go back and listen again.
Carcross was such a cute and quaint town.
We went the last day of the season and it was closed, but I’m sure it would be great in the summer.

Staff was great, jeep needed new tires, they were very bald, iPad tour didn’t work most of the tour. Probably wouldn’t use this company again unless we were given a better maintained Jeep.

It was super easy to find the Jeep pick up point. The staff was super friendly. The audio guide did not work for us so we had to read the booklet they gave us. What little we got from the audio guide we enjoyed, so it was disappointing not to have it work. The first half of our trip up to the lake was complete fog and rain. We did eventually get some clearing and were able to enjoy the views at the top and on our way back. Lunch was limited to one restaurant in Carcross. It was pricey but decent food. Overall, we enjoyed our day. We did see a black bear on the side of the road and got some great video. We understand the weather is outside the control of the tour company, but it still put a damper on it.

Super easy process! Really enjoyed the private audio tour that allowed us to go at our own pace. Overall great experience.

Fantastic experience! Easy to get to from cruise ship. Staff was friendly. Narration of drive and history along the way with provided iPad was great touch!

Really fun way to tour the area. We went well into the Yukon and made lots of stops for photos and lunch.

We had a great time seeing the things we wanted on our own. Much better than being on a big bus. We went all the way to Emerald Lake which was amazing. Highly recommend.

You may want to bring snacks and water. You can stop at Carcross for food. We are on Bistro on Bennett. Food was good but it was crowded. Make sure you have a camera and binoculars. Would have been a 5 but the iPads had issues with connecting. Our friends’s iPad never connected to Bluetooth but they were able to hear the commentary through the iPad

Great experience would recommend! It was great going at our own pace. Enjoyed the self guided info and the views were breathtaking.

Excellent Experience! Exploring the beauty of Skagway on our own, driving around in the Jeep was so awesome. Stopping along the way, when we wanted to admire the beautiful scenery, majestic mountain view’s and waterfalls. I recommend taking your passports on the experience to drive into Canada to see more wildlife and beauty. So amazing! Such a great way to see more than the normal “tour excursions” and have more time to explore own your on. Highly recommend and would definitely do again.

Jeep was almost brand new & very clean. Self guided ipad tour was really informative. We liked it because we could stop where we wanted as long as we wanted to without a bus full of people! Great experience!

Experience was expensive for basically a rental car
The drive is something else that’s special if you have a large group then maybe worth the expense
David_E, Jul 2025
It was overall a fairly good experience since we saw bears and eagles. However the iPad that was supposed to automatically connect with landmarks and narrate did not work. It never synch’d up and wouldn’t reset so we missed most of the highlights or manually heard them long after we had passed them. The supposed highlight of the trip was emerald lake but it was very underwhelming. The jeep was good but was overkill for a nice paved highway which we were warned not to go off of. Could’ve used a corolla for that trip and saved money on gas and rental. We could’ve rented an Avis car for almost $200 less, had it all day with no restrictions on where we could go and done just as well.

The check in process was easy, the vehicle was clean & the iPad tour was informational & easy to follow. The scenery was breathtaking! Highly recommend the drive! Only 4 stars because we left our (expensive) binoculars in the Jeep & I’ve called twice to report this. I haven’t received a call back letting me know they’ve even looked for them. I’m sure they’re gone but a courtesy call advising they’ve looked would be nice.

traffic at the border food is scarce and expensive in the yukon
check in was slow and building was not setup for bad weather
office would absolutely not open till 8 am although people were there
many people were waiting in line jeep was like new and worked fine
staff was friendly and dropoff was easy you must refill gas tank before returning

I was nervous to book outside my cruise line but am so glad I did. We got to go our own pace, see amazing views, make the stops we wanted and enjoy a day of peaceful touring.
The IPAD occasionally was a bit behind, but only by a few miles… we missed one pull out but we got the overlook on the way back!

East check in and everything went as expected the view was amazing and suspension bridge amazing didn’t see any wild life expect sheep up on mountain
Jessica_S, Jun 2025
We really enjoyed this experience! Only glitch we had was the audio wouldn’t play for the last two stops. Small technical issue. We would still recommend. We had other family members rent a car next door and they were envious of our audio landmark descriptions.

Great experience going to Emerald Lake in our own Jeep with easy to follow directions that also gave us a lot of history of the area, wonderful way to see all the sites! Could go at our own pace.
Kim_W, May 2025
This is a wonderful and easy activity!! We saw so much beauty at our own pace. The instructions are uncomplicated and thorough. If you are on the fence about this, don’t hesitate!
Christine_S, Apr 2025
What a great choice!! It gave me the freedom of going with my grown kids, no tour or crowded bus! The jeep was very nice! It comes with an IPad, pre-loaded with instructions and directions to places of interest along the way! We stopped as we wanted along the way. We saw a momma bear and cub crossing the road right in front of us, and another enjoying flowers and berries on the side of the road! Emerald lake was amazing!! The scenery, snow topped mountains, glaciers, lakes, unbelievable!! Worth every cent!!
Darlene_W, Sep 2024
This was so much fun and a great way to see the amazing mountains and scenery! We would do this tour again and recommend to anyone!
Meredith_J, Sep 2024
We really liked being able to stop where we wanted and replay the audio for selected points of interests. Having the print-out of the tour was critical for the trip back for any points we wanted to revisit in afternoon sun compared to morning sun.

Awesome experience driving the Klondike Highway from Skagway to Carcross Yukon Territory. The included guide iPad was informative and kept us on the right track. Highlight beyond the incredible vistas was seeing several mountain goats soon after passing the Yukon border. The Jeep was nice and the rental experience was excellent.
Justice_C, Sep 2024
To be able to go at your own pace. The scenery was fantastic. I'd recommend this to anyone. Great job. A great day for sure.
Julie_D, Sep 2024
Beautiful scenery the entire trip. I thought it was very expensive since it was just the two of us. You could probably just rent a car for the day, and it would make it a lot cheaper.
Jason_S, Sep 2024
The Jeep tour was a blast! Check in was only a few hundred feet away from the dock and was quick and easy. The iPad tour guide worked flawlessly and the Jeep was clean, new, and handled well. The sites along the Klondike Highway were spectacular.
Treat yourself and get the private Jeep tour and skip the blue-hair bus ride!
