Skagway Self-Guided Jeep Tour
This was an AMAZING experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone stopping in Skagway. The scenery along the Klondike Highway was stunning. Be prepared to pull over several times for photos! We really enjoyed having the recorded audio tour while we traveled. The system knew exactly where we were throughout the trip and the historical information provided was very interesting. The company even provided a backup written copy, with maps, in case the GPS goes down for any reason. The reward at the end, Emerald Lake, is well worth the drive. It's so beautiful. We brought extra water and snacks, just in case. The only place to stop for food is Carcross, which is a couple of hours from Skagway. There is only 1 public restroom stop along the way. Also, don't forget to bring your passports or US Resident cards because you will be going through both Canadian and US Customs and they don't accept just a driver's license or state ID. If you are not from the U.S., be sure to research Canadian requirements in case you need a Visa.

Great Excursion into the Yukon
This was an excellent excursion into the Yukon if you want to skip the crowded train. Our guide Vanessa was very engaging and knowledgeable. We saw some beautiful scenery and learned a few things from our guide. I highly recommend this if you want to avoid the crowds and get personal service.

Bus Better Than Train?
We decided to try the bus tour up the White Pass in Skagway rather than the Klondike train and we did not regret it. While the train was certainly cool, it was very crowded with fewer stops along the way. The suspension bridge was a fun stop and we got to see all of the same sights close up. All for about half the price. Our guide was informative and friendly. He made sure we ‘made the most of it’!

Better than the train ride!
This was a small bus tour (10 people) that focused on opportunity to see more. Our guide Andrew was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging which made the experience so much better. I was going to book the train ride as it is highly rated but it was sold out and this was the closest experience. IMO it had to be much better. The small group allowed us to stop at a bunch of places and see things up close you don’t see from a train. The Yukon is meant to see up close! Highly recommend!
