Our Waterfall tour was absolutely amazing! Luke our captain and Carrigan our guide were so wonderful! We were able to experience waterfalls, bald eagles, and saw bears playing on the shore. They were so knowledgeable and gave us so much of the history of the area.

There were only 6 of us on the tour so we were able to really move around the boat and enjoy the sights. The waterfalls were beautiful and we also saw lots of harbor seals and a Stellar Sea-lion. The captain had candied salmon for everyone (I don’t eat fish but I was told it was yummy) and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the water.

Lovely waterfalls, lots of eagles and harbor seals. Hard to find the boat because there was not without much signage.

This was absolutely one of my favorite excursions! Unexpected views of wildlife along with the multiple waterfalls and the animated and knowledgeable tour guides on the boat!

Really awesome excursion! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! We saw plenty of wildlife (whales, seals and bears from a distance), the waterfalls were beautiful! I’d recommend!
Donna_T, Jul 2026
Great up-close look at multiple waterfalls. Captain and guide Tim were very friendly and knowledgeable.

We enjoyed this tour. Beautiful scenery and information about the area and wildlife. Lucky was our naturalist and very knowledgeable. Note that the water can be choppy so might not be ideal on a windy choppy day for those who get sea sick.

Great experience but guide definitely needs a microphone. The guide, Lucky, was awesome but there were many times I could not hear what she was saying because I was out on the front of the boat taking pictures. A simple microphone system would improve this experience tremendously.

The boat we were on was piloted by Luke. The naturalist on board was Laura. It was very obvious that they both love the jobs that they are doing! We learned so much information and had such a wonderful time that we really hated for it to end!
Thank you so much to this crew for making our afternoon wonderful! I would encourage everyone to take this excursion as it was definitely worth the money as far as overall education and fun !
When looking at different excursions to take, this one was exactly like we expected it to be from the listing and included all of the elements they had advertised. Great time had by all! Thanks again!

Be ready for fun. We saw whales and got up close to all the waterfalls. It was informative and they spent a lot of time making sure we had fun

This was an excellent cruise tour. Luke (boat captain) is an excellent driver and is very knowledable. The young lady assisting him did an excellent job as well. A must see in my book.

It's a small boat that gets you up close to wildlife and the waterfalls. It is a smaller group of people on the tour; therefore, there is plenty of space to get up and move about the boat to look. The captain and deckhand were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife and environment. We were lucky to see a humpback whale just a few minutes into our trip. We also managed to see bald eagles and seals up close. Highly recommend this tour as it was a favorite on our trip!

The scenery and waterfalls are beautiful! We saw bald eagles and seals but unfortunately, no whales! The captain and assistant were very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! We thoroughly enjoy the trip.

Absolutely fantastic experience with captain Luke and the naturalist (I believe his name was Andrew or similar). They were both incredibly informative and we learned so much about the area and the animals. The tour struck a perfect balance of being casual and enjoyable. The salmon they gave us was so generous and delicious. The waterfalls were beautiful and we even saw a whale, several bald eagles, and a bear from afar. Would definitely recommend!

Our 2 man crew was great. Professional and experienced. Saw waterfalls both large and small as well as bald eagles and harbor seals.
Kathryn_M, Jun 2026
Amazing experience with so many waterfalls, seals (including cubs!) and bald eagles. It was our favorite excursion
Alan_L, Jun 2026
They canceled the trip two days before scheduled after I paid. They called once at 9:30pm while I was on a ship in International waters. They never tried contacting me again. We showed up at dock and spent 20 minutes trying to find them. I only found out tour canceled after I called from the dock. If I would have known in advance I could have booked another tour in this once I in a lifetime adventure.

We were absolutely thrilled with this trip! Captain Robert is extremely capable at the helm & entertained us with many stories of local wildlife. His assistant Kelsey was very knowledgeable & helpful. We had a fantastic outing on a gorgeous sunny day in stunning scenery! I would highly recommend this tour!!

Beautiful Day in Skagway! Easy paced cruise to beautiful locations! First mate/tour guide Kelsey is knowledgeable and kind and fun and a great asset for you all! Cant remember captains name but he too was great!!
Pamela_M, May 2026
Our captain and the guide were very informative and helpful with finding all the waterfalls and some wildlife. We saw a mountain goat, lots of seals and several different species of birds.
Jeanette_H, May 2026
Awesome boat! Kelsey was amazing. So was the captain. Very pretty waterfalls. Loved the stories and history,

We did 5 excursions on our Alaska trip and this one was by far the only disappointing one. The crew were friendly. The waterfalls seemed long but with low water flows. The boat was inadequate. Too small for the extreme waves we went crashing through. Although there was talk of a larger boat being available if needed. The advertised restroom is for emergencies. A couple of mountain goats were spotted but the boat was bouncing around so much I couldn't really see them. If you go don't sit by the heater which is extreme. I thought we were going to visit a cove closer to Haines, but we never got that far.
Michael_G, May 2026
This tour was definitely worth it. Saw all sorts of wildlife and were able to get up close and personal to waterfalls. We came right at the beginning of the season so we pretty much had the boat to ourselves along with the crew. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely feel like we got our moneys worth and still had time to walk through town afterwards before boarding our ship.
Jason_W, May 2026
Weather is unpredictable, so water may be choppy.
Even with some choppy water and drizzle, we enjoyed seeing the sheep, eagles, seals and whale along with the waterfalls.
Scott_G, May 2026
We had a wonderful time. Our naturalist Maria and captain Robert were knowledgeable, friendly, fun and did a great job finding wildlife. I would recommend this tour to all.
Jeffrey_L, May 2026
Nice to catch a bit of wildlife…. Including a whale siting.
Hosts were great and very much appreciated the smoked salmon.
Sharon_M, May 2026
Very knowledgeable employees. They interacted with all passengers and made it enjoyable for all ages. We saw beautiful waterfalls and a variety of wildlife!
Catherine_P, May 2026
The crew were all amazing, fun, entertaining, knowledgeable. We saw some beautiful
Water falls, a few baby bald eagles, the white goats and sea otters. We had a wonderful day!!!
Michael_S, May 2026
The tour provider cancelled 1 hour before our tour due to lack of participants. That left us with a wasted day in Skagway! Now it’s 3 days later and I’m still waiting for my $440. Refund.
Terrible experience, no excuses!
Beware!!!!
Clair_J, Oct 2025
Luke was very knowledgeable and easily shared information with us. There were 3 of us from the cruise ship this particular morning. We did get to take our packet of salmon to taste later, although the tour details listed it as if we were going to stop and have the salmon on some crackers and a sample of a local tiddle, whatever that was ? But There was no mention of this on the day. Boat Cruise ended at 2.5 hrs, not 3 hrs. I was not bothered as it gave me extra time in the town, but given that the tour is titled 3hr alaska waterfalls, it was a bit perplexing. We did see some harbour seals and a bald eagle.
MariaPaula_A, Sep 2025
Captain Luke was just the best! His boat allows for close-up viewing of waterfalls and wildlife. He was super accommodating and knowledgeable. I'd do this tour again, as it was my favorite experience in Skagway!
