You should be prepared to walk a lot uphill and downhill, so dress appropriately. It was a really great experience to see the prison cells. What a miserable little space to live in. There are beautiful plants and flowers all over the island and you can see that they take care of the island to preserve history.

The interior audio tour of Alcatraz was interesting, informative, and sobering. The cells are incredibly small, sparsely furnished, and undeniably uncomfortable. Solitary confinement cells are nightmarish.

Not fair- ticket price was double the price in pier 33

I purchased 3 Alcatraz tickets and when I went on pier 33 I realized that the ticket price was double the price at pier 33 . They were selling $44 for each ticket but I bought each for $80. That was not fair at all. You should give my money back

Very interesting tour learning how life was inside the island. We were dropped off and your tour begins with a talk and then the day is yours. You decide when you want to go back so no pressure to finish a certain time frame.

This company cheated me. They sold tickets to me that were outdated, by a month. We were supposed to go to Alcatraz on 6/15 and the company sent the ticket voucher. When they printed out the actual tickets at the boarding dock, they were dated 5/15. I called customer service and they had no explanation for the issue. I had to buy standby tickets. I will never trust this company again.

The tour is great! Definitely a must-do at least once in your life. Arrive earlier than Viator tells you and have your QR code ready or you could miss your boat. They don’t start boarding at the time you chose, they are pulling away from the dock at that time.

Our Alcatraz Tour was cancelled for unscheduled maintenance. No one contacted us. We found out an hour before at Pier 33. I spent 40 minutes on the phone waiting for a $436 refund. Never using Avitor again!

Easy ferry ride. Audio tour was informative and after you can walk around and take in the beautiful 350 views all around the island. The gift store has some nice options for gifting or to take back as a souvenir.

DO NOT USE VIATOR!! We arrived at the dock only to be told we need to get tickets for the next boat and when we tried to get those tickets they told me my Viator tickets weren't in my name so we were out almost €600.
